The list of phenomenal games for the Playstation 4 goes on and on, and it’s actually expanding with games like God of War Ragnarok, Horizon Forbidden West, Spiderman Miles Morales, etc.
If you can’t afford a Playstation 5, or you technically can but you just feel like you wouldn’t be able to justify the purchase, and you just so happen to have a PS4 lying around… you can still take advantage of that.
Because, what a number of Sony-funded studios are currently doing not only demonstrates the generational leap that the Playstation 5 has made possible, it also shows just how amazing the Playstation 4 was, and continues to be. - Věda a technologie
Bought my ps4 (my dream) this January 21st and I am totally satisfied with its performance and experience. Worth spending $250 for my 1tb version with 14 game titles. ❤️

The PS4 is so good and reached its absolute PEAK of value in the middle of its 8th year of its life with the introduction of PS plus premium. That shouldnt happen and it begs the question... Do I even need a PS5?
I'm in the same boat. Got a PS4 in 2018 for games like Spider-Man and God of War. It was my first PlayStation AND my first console in general.
Still using it as my primary gaming device. And with how overpriced PS5s are in my country with how little I'm interested in PS5 games, I think I'll rock my PS4 for a little while longer.
As a person who has a ps4 you have to get a ps5 i promise you it will be great i don't have a ps5 but in getting one next month if you wanna continue playing good games you have to get a ps5
Ps4 still a beast trust me just play the best games ps4 can offer and while you’re at it slap in an internal ssd. There library is literally better than Xbox imo. Even with gamepass ps4 still has better games.

You couldn’t of been more spot on with seeing friends and influencers getting a PS5, and thinking you need one - only to put yourself in a comparison trap. Amen to this video, I was looking at PS5 and then the realisation hit me that all the new games I was seeing, Horizon Forbidden West, Gran Turismo 7, GOW Ragnarok, Stray are all games I can get on my PS4 slim and they run amazingly. I love my PS4 and am happy to wait until the inevitable price drop of the PS5. To me currently, extra framerate and a bit sharper graphics isn't worth £500.
I took a break from gaming and now I’m back on track with my life. The first thing I did was buy a PS4 Slim and bought God of War Ragnarok, GTAV, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Detroit:Become Human. I totally relate to what you said about whichever game you’re currently playing is your favorite because they’re genuinely great and fun games. I plan to have my PS4 til death do us part lol. Honestly, this console and the amazing game library kept me mentally sane during the pandemic,which is priceless. I got a PS5 3 weeks ago and I’m happy with it, but the PS4 will always hold a special place in my heart. Selling it on Tuesday, I became nostalgic, hence I came across this video. Thank you!
I agree. PS4 has an excellent games library and if you just starting with games or you don't have much time to play, it's still a solid choice. For me though, after years spend on PC 30fps is unbearable. I recently decided to buy PS5 due to fucked up GPUs prices and I'm very glad that it delivers 60fps. I hope it's gonna last through the entire generation and if it's not, well, PC is always there, waiting for me.

The timing of this video is so strange because today was the first day that I was able to just walk into a store, see a bunch of PS5s on the shelves and just buy one, but I will wholeheartedly say that I got some serious mileage out of my PS4, and the majority of the games that I have still yet to experience are on the PS4 platform, I'm just working through a backlog because I don't have the time I used to when I was young.
I picked up my PS4 sometime back in 2015 when Fallout 4 came out, I was fortunately given a week off work, and I had also managed to finish all my university exams so it was rare to have time to myself, and I desperately needed to build a new gaming PC at the time, but the PS4 was something I could just pick up there and then on the Friday night and take home for the weekend, and play through the whole week and that's exactly what I did and that time was just awesome.

I bought a ps4 late in the gane because I'm a Hitman fan and got tired of upgrading my gaming pc because of gpu card prices not going down every year,and that says alot for working class people who like to play their favorite game. Ps5 prices in my country aren't going to lower anytime soon, and I still have some back catalogue games that i like to buy for my ps4, at which case there are still alot of physical copies available in gaming stores here where I come from. I'll buy a ps5 who knows, probably when it's 5 years old and becomes cheaper like I did with the ps4. Anyway Nice vid man. I just bought a second hand PS4 from a local deal. And I am still chasing up on the games. I just play on Normal difficulty so that I can enjoy the pace. This Video proves I was right in choosing a PS4. I can afford a PS5. But then, F*** it, a PS4 can keep me playing for hours and still gives me the satisfaction of a 10 year old soul of me. Started with a PS1 and then a second hand ps2. Missed the PS3, but now I'm back on track. Btw, Valkyrie profile still holds a special spot in my heart even until now. ❤
Same here sold my ps3 in 2013 and never looked back. Here ten years later I decided to buy a ps4 pro (used) from disc replay. Most of the games are so cheap I have been like a kid in a candy store. It will take at least a year to catch up on them. I'm more than impressed with the visuals too.

This video hits the head of the nail for me. I can afford one, but don't have the time to game like I used to. I can't justify paying the price for it to collect dust. I still use my ps4 and my ps3. I absolutely love my ps3 still. There's still gaming communities online, the game library is huge, it's the last gen before stupid micro transactions, and the graphics are still great on some later games! Yes the ps4, ps5 are better but there's something about the PS3 that I find just epic.

I bought my PS4 this year, because my PC is too old and the PS5 still too expensive in my country... and what a beast! more than 10 years old and still handles new games like Callisto Protocol, Resident Evil Remake, Last of Us 2, Uncharted 4 like nothing! Yes with 30fps, but seriously, if nobody would tell me that its 30fps, i would not recognize. The PS4 with his Jaguar Chip is still a great console, and in my opinion can handle any game for the next couple of years, optimisation is the key word! ..Andy by the way, i like the Design and the controller of the PS4 much more than the five.
My Favorite PS : (2019 Days of play) PS4 slim.
Its been updated by Sony with some small valuable details, that makes it a modern game console.
I Added a WD 2T SSD and my games load in 17-20 secs & some quicker depending on the software the developers make.
I Was playing (Need for Speed 2019) online with my friends. And my 2019 PS4 loading quicker than my friends PS5 on the same Wifi!!!

But The fact that the PS4 is a less-custom, more-standard-like-PC architecture; allows the developers to work with it much easier, and thus draw out the power of the console!!!

You can do a 1 player game at 120fps if they wanted. Or know when to pull out the 30,60,120 fps during the same game!!! The software potential is endless!!!
Fyi: I turn off HDR on my PS4 (2019) version; and let my projector deliver the HDR. So i dont get Double HDR effect.
And This PS4-2019 edition is soo quite !!! They added modern ports & wifi chip is stronger. Doesn’t get hot as the first PS4 version!

I have a PS4 and PS5 now, and left my PS4 on my parent's house for weekend visits to them, and when a game have both PS4 and PS5 with upgrade available, I *always* buy the PS4 version and get the PS5 upgrade later so I get 2 versions of the same game to play anywhere.
Wow. Great Video. A little emotional and I like that. I totally agree with you. I do have an Xbox Series X (it was a gift from my wife) and I love playing on it, but when I look at it soberly, an Xbox One and/or PS4 would also be enough to have fun. I also don't think I would have bought a current console myself. I'm a frugal casual gamer and even enjoy playing on the Switch because of the flexibility and convenience. That's why graphics and resolution aren't that important to me. I also get along very well with constant 30fps. I think we live in a generation full of consumption and status symbols. Everyone wants to have a say everywhere and FOMO is omnipresent. I was able to reflect on this myself a few years ago and asked myself if I really needed all that.
That's how I've been feeling since the PS5 came out and it's still proving my point. The PS4 is a fantastic hardware not missing much and that's the point of having a new system and you don't have the games or even a system exclusive it wool 2 years for God of war to come out but I still play it fine on my PS4. Sony just jumped the gun with this release

@@zainmalik9666 I owned a PS4 some days ago for all the years. Of course the games look very good. Last of Us II was looking Next Gen in terms of graphics. And many other games too. The games are playable. For a weak maschine from 2013 it is amazing. No PC from 2013 in same price category is able to do that. U not need best of the best all the time. Come down... PS4 games comings out next years also. So PS4 is not over...
And now the PS5 has a fast SSD and CPU. This gen should be the longest in future...

360, then got an Xbox one. So next I am debating buying a used ps4 pro for $300 from my local shop or saving up a couple hundred more for a ps5. Either way I could play all the Sony exclusives from both generations.

Late to the party but I Just bought mine last month and having a blast and I'm getting all the games I've been missing since it launched.
I have an Xbox series X and it's nice to play all the new stuff on there but I definitely do still play on my PlayStation 4 with all the exclusives.

The game load time is better and i bough second hand disc to play with. First I'm plan to build more PC but since i have 4 gaming pc with RX6600 x2 / RX 6700xt x2 already i think to clean it once a year is tired
Sometime I'm just want something work and don't have to deal with driver or OS staff so I lay down on Sofa and enjoy. Ps4 disc is cheap but not cheap like during steam sale. But well I sell it after i don't play it anymore because most game i come back to play is RTS or RPG staff anyway.
So I think PS4 still Good PS5 is better but still need game and staff. I use PS4 to play COD DMZ / PUBG with my friend who have ps5 already no complain graphic may not the best but i mean most game on PS4 seem to optimize well enough when compare to some port game that make me feel like my PC are junk :D .

It's true, PS4 is good. Though I'm not a reliable source because the PS5 was my third console. Others being the PSP and the Nintendo Wii. What got me buying the PS5 was my sister who convinced me to buy it other than a PS4.
I was actually going to skip the PS4 entirely and go straight to the PS5 but then I saw the Black Friday sale of 2019 where they had the PS4 Slim bundled with Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition, God of War (2018), and The Last of Us Remastered for $250 Canadian plus tax and I could not say no for that price! I knew at the time that the PS5 was a year out, but within a few months of buying my PS4, the pandemic hit and then chip shortages hit as well. By the time the PS5 launched in 2020, the situation had totally changed. I am traditionally more biased in favour of Xbox but have loved my time with the PS4 with my only real complaint being the slow hard drive speed (same as Xbox One). I'll continue to run my PS4 probably until a PS5 Slim gets released and the good news is that the PS5 is fully backwards compatible with the PS4 so I can carry all of my games over.

@@something2941 The PS4 is still pretty good in my opinion, and I continue to enjoy mine, but bear in mind that games generally run at 30 frames per second and that the hard drive is slow. Also, considering that the PS5 has been out for over two years now, I think used PS4's are overpriced. They also have a limited future going forward. I would hold out and spend the extra for a PS5. Maybe at some point in 2023, we might see Slim and Pro models released.

The PS4 is the second best playstation right behind the PS2. The only problem with it is the CPU (bad when it released) it's honestly amazing what people did (and still do) with it.
It can even play Wii U games but Sony won't just give us other f-ing OS makes me so mad and sad.
PS4 is trash. Worst PlayStation they completely stripped backwards compatibility. The controller was aweful thing was super loud. Froze all the time. It wasn’t a good console at all and first PlayStation to charge online. Sony went super greedy with ps4. Ps4 was downfall of PlayStation

I changed my PC in 2019 after 11 years and i still have old GPU because i dont have money for that.
From 2008 to 2019 with GPU GTX 660.
And if I have option too buy new GPU in my country in 2019 GTX 1060 and the price was 350$ (1600 PLN ) today is 220 $ (1000 PLN)
I decided buy used Ps4 Pro for 300$ in march 2022
In 2022 the price of RTX 3060 is 441,50 $ (2000) sooo... Still good deal with Ps4 Pro.
Even today when i watch the price of RTX 4080....1 766$ (8000 PLN)

i want to discuss it with you, with the limited time and money i think its better with consoles (ps 4 in this case) rather than build a pc or buy "gaming" laptop. let's say it $300 ps4, we can't get the equal experience building gaming windows pc with that money
@@jonaganteng8034 i've done some calculations and if i go to absolute limits of my budget i can get a system with Radeon 6600 paired with ryzen 5 5600. On the other hand i can get a PS4 pro. But my biggest issue with console is the lack of support for mouse & keyboard plus the pc can be used for various other purposes as well...

I adore my Xbox Series X, but the timing for purchasing a cheap used PS4 is perfect. You've got a decade of exclusives to play and Sony has done a great job making even the more recent exclusive releases look amazing on the older hardware. I'm sure in 7-8 years I'll pick up a PS5 and repeat this process.

This is true and that's the reason why today I just bought a very good condition used white PS4 slim for only $180 dollars . I'm so glad to make this decision because I just want to play games that I already missed out for so long and I don't mind about 4k resolution or higher refresh rate , I just wanna enjoy good exclusive games , also I will only switch to Ps5 when there's a slim or pro model in the future . Also theres not much Ps5 games in Ps5 , all i can see is Ps4 games repackage with Ps5 covers resell with expensive prices because of higher graphics . So at the moment theres no point of getting a Ps5 . Ps4 will keep me busy until Ps5 price drop or new model coming out .
You know how many ps4 games get the free ps5 upgrade? 1440p at 60fps on a standard 4k ,60Hz TV is a great deal for $500.

I totally agree, because my gaming lifestyle has transitioned over to high end portable gaming. The Steam Deck offered that solution combined with a powerful PC. However, my PS4 Pro has satisfied all my PlayStation needs and have found no need to upgrade to a PS5.
You know how many ps4 games get the free ps5 upgrade? 1440p at 60fps on a standard 4k ,60Hz TV is a great deal for $500.
Plus the faster load times.

Huh. I have a PS3 and am currently thinking of buying a PS5 out of fear the PS4 will become obsolete too soon. However, they're so expensive I still haven't decided on what to do.
Given the (ridiculous) prices of used PS4 consoles, I'd hold out and wait for a PS5. It can play pretty much all PS4 games. Hopefully we will see a slim model of the PS5 in late 2023.
Love my ps3 and ps4 pro. Between those two as a casual gamer as you so perfectly described it i am set. I will probably get a ps5 sometime in ps6 midgen cycle so i can play the inevitable sequel to hogwarts legacy which will definitely never come to ps4.

I live in Russia and I can't just go to shop and purchase a PS5 now, thanks You-Know-Who... But I have a PS4 and play some games that I got and it's nice experience. It's my only option to play big games legally, thanks to disks that I still can purchase)
