Assassin's Creed Syndicate is a historical action-adventure open world stealth video game developed by Ubisoft Quebec and published by Ubisoft. This game isn’t so bad. It’s actually quite alright and enjoyable. The scenery and London itself is breathtaking too.
Couldn't agree more, I think the time has given us some perspective and helped us appreciate this game, I still feel that in many regards it is a step backwards from Unity but it's still a better AC game than any of the new ones.

One of the assassin creed that was actually good and probably the last one, I feel like they should’ve continued with the history timeline instead of going back to the ancient times because the moderation of syndicate was actually pretty cool.
they go back in time it feels to justify being lazy with the gameplay. It stands to reason farther back parkour skills and assassin skills would be less refined because the hidden ones are not as sophisticated and we are not even playing as actual hidden ones either so it justified sloppy gameplay. I definitely don't hate the newer games on a whole but i understand why people dont like them. i do wish gameplay was smoother. I think if they want to still play around with anicent times the next games have to focus on actual hidden one characters not random people that just happen to meet them.
I prefer unity gameplay wise but syndicate story wise
They may be similar yes but parkour isn’t as free as it was in unity

Ive held this for a bit but I wish they had the assassin brotherhood in here because we never see the consequences of the twins actions for going against the council they might be heroes for stopping what’s his name but what happens after?
I was actually hooked on this game but the ones that came out after.. not so much
If they were to move any further it wouldn't work. Maybye old West could work but moving back is Kool because then we get to see more of the history of the assasains as well as really interesting periods before the crusades.

@Obi Wan Wow what metrics you have to gauge a game... It's in Victorian era, what did you expect ?
DrAce one thing I disliked was how it shattered the previous games storys. For example that one rare artifact you chase in the previous ac games, the apple of eden I believe, idk it been awhile but anyway those strange artifacts are everywhere in this game and makes them feel less special. Also the lack of present day story which I felt was always interesting. It comparably bad to ac unity where they basically said ‘if you watch this video then your are going to be an assasin’ like what how does that even makes sense? It’s just sad to see where ac games when after ac4 and even that was dodgy due to the lack of story but the gameplay made up for it atleast. Wow sorry about that really didn’t plan on typing this much.

Not sure why people are comparing this game to origins and odyssey, those games are very different since they take on a much bigger RPG genre, giving players a huge open world to explore and loot items and explore builds and play styles. I prefer the latest ones.

I find it quite ridiculous how everyone says unity is such a terrible game, yet it has more players than syndicate.
I wanna play this but apparently the game is fucked on PS5 via backwards compatibility. Would really like a 4K/60fps upgrade for this and Unity, even if I had to pay for it.

The gameplay the map in Syndicate is perfect, is how AC should be till today. The problem is the story itself that is really weak, so makes you dont care about what you do.
