@@AD-ww4hd I think he meant all AC games. But still I'd still pick Unity over Watchdogs, though. Watchdogs' doesn't let you climb around as freely as the AC games do. Plus I think the Unity parkour animations are cleaner than WD2's when they aren't glitching.

I really wish Ubisoft just stayed with what they were going with in Unity, instead of going full RPG with Odyssey. Especially with the free running.
MRspider236 Holy shit PREACH I miss the old Assassins Creeds as well. I haven’t played anything past Unity because of that very reason. The new ones don’t give me the same vibe as they did when I was younger sadly.

I've always loved the parkour in Unity. It's so fluid and theatrical at the same time.

It's neat to see how each character in AC have different styles of parkour and fighting. Arno is one of the most fluid and graceful of them.

Excitonium it’s just luck. That’s a random animation that only happens if the game feels like it. The back eject chains actually required thought and real button inputs. The spinning descent is just fortune

Because Ubisoft uses animation points. If there are 2 guards + 1 civilian and they're undisturbed in that area, then they will do the animation in a loop (never ending) unless disturbed, then if they are left alone after being disturbed they will probably go back to harassing the civilian.

I actually liked the story and Arno and Elise until she became this whole "I want revenge" type, but that's my opinion, you're entitled to yours, the worst game in my opinion was syndicate and ac 2 ,
ac 2 only because of the gameplay I loved the story before any confusion

Watching this really showed me how little I understood and took advantage of the parkour system in Unity
The movement in Unity was crazy good. They basicly had thousands of unique transition animations for going up, down or sideways on any building. The lighting and materials are also still the best in the series. Not to mention it had actual good assassinations.
Now you just have huge open worlds where you can easily walk up to any target and kill them, unless they are 1 level above you then they are immortal.
... the end is amazing. How you just go back into the crowd like nothing happened... a true assassin

Everyone talking about parkour as the best asset for this game, but for me, besides that, there is also the customization, and yet more important, no Desmond, no present and boring story, you go straight to the French revolution and stay there... as far as I remember...oh and The Belle Epoque is beautiful too...

I love the fluid animations of this game. I wish they would've stuck with the mocap style character movements. I really enjoy the expansive environments of Origins and Odyssey, but the character animations definitely took a downgrade.
Yeah. It feels like you're playing in AC 1 animation. Even AC 3 and Black Flag's animations are more fluid than both Origins and Odyssey.
It's a deliberate descision. Parkour was a French invention, so they gave Arno the best animations to reflect that. They try and give every MC a different gimmick.
I love Bayek and Kassandra a shitton, but I do hope the next AC game has a protag who has fun animations.

I definitely think that Unity is the best as far as weapons, clothing, and parkour is concerned. Black Flag was cool with the Jackdaw, but the aforementioned suffered a big hit. IMO, Origins and Odyssey have taken the formula _way_ too far away from what made the earlier games great, that's for sure. An abysmal launch and a few other bad hiccups not withstanding, this was one of the best AC games.

I still can't believe that this game came out in 2014. The visuals, the gameplay it's all just amazing and man o' man the parkour is the best in the series. My third favorite entry in the series after The Ezio trilogy and Black Flag.
To this day Unity has some of the best parkour in the series. Love how floaty yet precise it can be and it makes for a fun game to watch.

It's not really cookie cutter, combat is way better then most RPGs...the parkour isn't as good as it is here but it's still pretty slick, no RPGs I know of with any wall climbing anyways. The assassinations are cool and satisfying still and stealth is still huge if you wanna play that way. Odessey is different for sure but the core assassin's Creed shit is still there.
Can you do the painting heist mission, it's quite hard to do fully stealth but I would like to see what you can do
I remember doing that mission over and over with friends to lvl fast and make good money after doing it so much we got perfect stealth Everytime

The art of actually right and well-staged play. This bring me joy of well-designed games. Although Devs definetily didn't finished the game due to Ubisoft's greed and game lacks many mechanics that were supposed to be included in the game - it is still have much smoother gameplay than last three "AC"-games... As much as I've tried to play Valhalla properly and have beautiful, tactical approach with stealth streaks - it's always something that breaks the flow.
I miss old AC-formula so much... Really love such gameplays.
