I do miss having a challenge fighting the frigate. God I wish this game had Galleons as a choice, and every ship is around the same time period (1730-50 or so), really wish they had other varieties like spanish galleons, dutch carracks, and hell, cursed ships. The legendary ships were all basically the same thing with different designs (except the Royal Sovereign & HMS Fearless [vise versa]) , I wish they offered a bigger amount of variety like a ghost ship being a early 17th century warship (most beautiful era of ships). an all black man O war would be amazing, and that would be my only one that relies on the Man 'O war body style. Another could be an accurate Pirate ship with red and white striped sails, ornamentation of riches and plenty of tricks up its sleaves. A ship of the line would be so neat, 4 rows of cannons each side and mostly focused on being a shooting ship with tons o health, power, and slow movement aspect. What these games really needed was a ship switch mode when you defeat certain things. If you get all 100 Trophies you get a new ship. Would be so cool if the fleet modes were actual real battles you could do, with your own frigates, brigs, and schooners. I really wish the game had better wood textures too, because it's just so gaped and dodgy looking, very dirty and unkept.

He only knew of one man who could take on an entire fort by himself but he had long passed. He grabbed his looking glass and almost died on the spot. The robes were one thing but the moves were unmistakeable. His soldiers called to him but he ignored them. He charged alone but carried the confidence of being back up by a hundred men. With his sword in hand he clashed his blade with the phantom before him. The colonel was old but had the strength of young man. He parried every blow and got a few good hits in. Connor hadn't faced anyone like this. He wondered, was he a Templar? Or maybe this was the infamous Shay Achilles had warned him about? Before the old man could deliver the killer blow, Connor shot both of his pistols and used his hidden blades to finally end this fight. As the man fell to his knees, the assassin expected him to justify his actions or curse at him. But all he had to give was a smile and laughter. The man's thoughts went to a simpler era, when he has but 19 and adrift at sea. He had been marooned for what felt like years. But just as he was about to surrender to oblivion, he saw it. The Jackdaw. And the hooded legend that commanded it. "The Kings navy- Ha! What a joke! These sorry lads have NOTHING- On us. Too many- Too many years, looking for a fitting end. ANYTHING, to feel alive again. I've been drifting for too long. And now, at long last. I am home once more. Thank you for saving me again, Captain." Connor was confused. Not by the man's words but by these sudden feelings of regret and sorrow in his heart. He kneeled and closed the man's eyes. As the patriots took the rest of the fort, the Assassin asked for a small boat and loaded the man's body on it. As he pushed boat to sea, he fired a blazing arrow it. Giving a burial at sea. Connor stood at shore watching as the boat got further and further. A patriot interrupted his moment of peace with ale in hand. "Hey! They said you snuffed Old Man Sam! Nice! Bastard! Nothing but a fucking pirate he was! He went from terrorizing merchant ships to still doing it but under the King's flag now! HA! Freaking rat! What people do for gold!" The patriot left the assassin alone with a bottle of ale. As he drank it. Connor pondered more. This soldier had thanked him for ending his life. Gold held no importance to him, he was honored bound to his captain whoever he was. Desperate to belong once more to whatever flag came his way. No matter the cost. The assassin spoke in his native tongue before taking his leave. "In a world without flags, we might've been allies."
