all websites say you don't need to turn water off but when I start to remove my old filter there's a whole lot of water, enough to flood my kitchen. why is this happening?
When replacing a water filter, some water spillage is common due to the pressure and residual water inside the system. Even though many websites mention that turning off the water supply isn't necessary, it's not uncommon to experience water coming out when removing the filter.
Thanks you for reaching out Kathy. Replacing your PurePour™ water filter It is not necessary to turn the water supply off to change the filter. Be ready to wipe up any small amounts of water released during the filter replacement. 1. Turn Off the ice maker(s). 2. Remove the filter by pushing on the end/face of the filter. 3. Slide the old water filter cartridge straight out of the housing and discard it. 4. Unpackage the new filter cartridge. Using the alignment guide, slide it gently into the filter housing until it stops against the snap-in connector at the back of the housing. Why is there no information when the filter is stuck? Really disappointed with limited info and lack of contact info.

My alert didn’t turn off even though I used a Frigidaire brand filter. What can I do?

Does not show how to install the new filter. Only to remove old filter. Waste of time
