The big paint restoration has begun.

- After many months of preparation by Steve and his team of Graham, Claire, Pete and Jessica, the first layer of undercoat has gone on the fin.
Over the coming months the preparations will continue and more painting will be done when the temperatures are better. we will update you all when painting recommences in the Spring.
Its about time the old girl got some respect I worked on her back in the day in the RAF.

No. We are going to keep it as original as possible when it retired from service at Binbrook.

No Not really, We are restoring it to as it was during her final years at Binbrook. Nice thought though but she didn't fly in with that registration.
I wouldn't want that bloke to spray my car, what was he doing, totally amateur.
Steve and his team are doing a fantastic job. They have been sanding and repairing for well over a year and myself and the rest of the team are very happy with what they are doing and believe me when I say our standards are high but his personal standards are even higher. Please feel free to troll the other Lightning groups. 😴
