I've always liked the Red Artificial Lightsaber Crystal from the EU than Bleeding, it just feels more Sith to create something better to prove themselves superior to Jedi.
I totally agree. I didn't like how Vader got his lightsaber crystal in the newer comics. Star Wars Legends is way better in every way.
I do too. It seems silly that they bleed or whatever. I prefer the color to be nothing more than color.
Yeah I agree I prefer the Sith having their own lightsaber crystal over the whole bleeding it’s the way of Sith to go against the nature.
In Legends, the Hurrikane crystal Mace Windu used his his purple saber allows the wielder to better penetrate an opponent’s defenses
@@darylsdesigns6679 I liked how in Legends certain Lightsaber Crystals had powers.
Seeing a Red lightsaber or Cortosis blade being used in live action to break or deactivate a protag's lightsaber would genuinely be awesome an awesome premise as the entire encounter becomes less of a fight, and more of a battle of survival with the protag on the back foot.
Red is by far my favorite color in general and definitely my favorite saber color!
It would be interesting to see why some Jedi chose to have a red light saber
A common misconception of Red crystals used by Jedi is that where they tended to show up was in comics, where colors could be muddied and as such what was supposed to be orange would actually appear more red before comics went to a higher quality of paper. Also in cases where it's obviously red (Quinlin Vos as an example) he was actually in an undercover state to infiltrate and gain intel an insight into how the (relatively) few fallen jedi during the clone wars were recruited by the count.
Also legends versus Canon as far as I know, but with the extreme rarity of red kyber and any one single attraction to it 99% of the energy of sith blades were projected through synthetically produced crystals forged via sith alchemy. Which also attuned them directly with the dark side.
I know that modern Disney canon has altered this somewhat as having a fallen Jedi "Bleed" or corrupt their own kyber crystal. But I feel like this is only a way to explain the consistency during a period where practically every truly fallen jedi would still end up with red blades. Where as fallen Jedi that did not fully fall to the dark side itself or an era where they could be taken in by sith, continued to use their previously built lightsabers in full. My only interaction with "Bleeding" was through Jedi: Survivor, and it seems like that is primarily an option for someone that truly embraces the dark side through extremely intense negatively driven emotion and TOTAL embracing of the dark side. That is how it appears from my singular perspective.
Can you make a video on every Jedi, who purified a red crystal?
Yes pls do a vid on all red saber wielding Jedi
yea i'm interested in that as well
I too wish to see this Holocron open
My Jedi Exile, much to the chagrin of Atton Rand despite her ultimately being a goody-two-shoes other than disposing of Master Vrook for those sweet, sweet Jedi Master robes. 😂
This is giving me some strong feelings of nostalgia, looting color crystals & modifying them in the game "Knights of the Old Republic" #1 & 2.
..Great modding community too👍
Because Red is the superior color of them all. Bias since red is my favorite color. Like Mace Windu's purple lightsaber, I, as a Jedi, would want a red Lightsaber.
Purple is that royal shit
Actually BLUE is superoior , because it is color the best recognizable by human eye
@@jjjb90 It's my 2nd favorite color.
The Sith and the Darkside are worshipped in Star Wars. That's why red is stronger. I'm BlueSniper. And I approve this message.
It’s because everything in red is hotter
Not always true. Blue flames are hotter than red flames.
@@nathanchristman6660It’s a double meaning joke
Especially redheads
I wish that were true...
We definitely need a video about all the Jedi that were allowed to use red lightsabers!!! Great watch as always.
Please do more red Saber studies 😅
Red lightsabers are the symbol of the sith order
Wow. That's a different way of looking at it. When I first read this passage all those long years ago, I just thought it was darkly humorous, but practical. You make it sound almost insidious.
Do go over the Jedi that used red. It’ll help with others learning the truth
Please make a video on the black wing kyber crystal
My character in a tabletop game just got a red bladed saber from a fallen foe. Knowing a little more lore behind them is neat =]
Definitely would like to know which Jedi used red light sabers.
What if star wars had power armor or gundam size robots Because honestly They should, especially with their technology. They've had for thousands of years
Because Gundam battle robot suits are lame and too nerdy. Save those for sci-fi anime. I'm glad SW underuses giant robotic suits. Not trying to be offensive and it's just my opinion, not a fact.
@@Voidliife F you Batkizis war droids!
For what its worth the setting is remarkably stagnant.
Has Star Wars ever had anything like giant force empowered guardian statues that are normally inanimate but once activated would fight until their task was completed or they were destroyed? For reference I was thinking Yu-Gi-Oh Giant soldier of stone that looks like it was carved in a defensive state but when switched to attack it would stand straight up while drawing its sword from the scabbard or to a lesser extent the stone sentinels/guardians from Harry Potter.
Synthetic crystals were usually the hallmark of Sith or Dark Jedi, but Jedi and Imperial Jedi used them a lot too, exclusively in the case of the Imperial Jedi. There was nothing inherently wrong about them, but usually Jedi saw them as 'taking the quick and easy path'. Luke Skywalker had to use a synth crystal for his first lightsabre, which was green, and Jaina Solo used one too for hers, which was violet.
I would like to see how red lighsabers were used in jedi order when allowed during certain times and who were exact members of the order to allowed to do so. Thanks.
I could see the sith using synthetic crystals for battle while the bled crystals are for decorations as reminders of their triumphs. Albeit that's the only way I could think of for them both to exist at the same time, but the only problem I have with it is the fact that Kyber Crystals used to have special properties I find it sad that such interesting lore was just completely removed for no justifiable reason that I can think of or have heard at all.
I would love a red lightsaber background lore video
Just saying, if a lightsaber clash resulted in a lightsaber blade shattering on-screen, I'd be terrified.
Yes, please look into the true Star Wars lore 😊 and see why they used red lightsabers
To see a blade broken during a duel would be awesome to see.
"one of the steps" for the creation of a artificial lightsaber crystal require multiple things, it's generally used by those who don't restrain and let the energy flow fully; the process requires patience for the creation and blending the energy(your) to the crystal, yellow ones are natural.
The artificial crystals are meld by a blast furnace and the force sensitive meditate for 7 or more sittings for at least 7-8 days or more to form the crystal, it's not just the Sith it's also Luke Skywalker.
(state)red crystals are less suitable for a beam generator for blade generator, cycle circuit?
that's why i'm liking windu more and more. his style understands the manipulation and power of the dark side, and turns it against them.
Red goes fastaaaaaa
@T.el.eg.ram_the_stupendouswave NO
Give me baylan skoll breaking a lightsaber in ahsoka season 2
I always thought it had something to do with all the hatred and anger Sith connected through.
6:38 Is that a real Sith or just concept art? If so, I need to know who that is right now
My like is 1000th :D
Would honestly like an anti-hero type sith that has an appetite for the darkside where he hunts and destroys other dark siders, but completely avoids light siders as their power weakens him, even finding that harming the innocent isn’t worth it. What would make this “dark hunter” very potent is wrist mounted, red kyber sabers, with a mastery in trakata, the most despised of lightsaber forms.
Watch Star Wars visions. There’s an episode about a ronin samurai sith who hunts down sith and kills them. He had a red saber by the way
@@riquestrong9496 oh I saw. I was picturing someone with a different weapon style with the same mindset. I like wrist blades 😂
If the lightsaber blade actually broke wouldn't it just grow by reactivating it or something I know it sounds like a dumb question but I am kind of curious what does blade is made of light and plasma
Me personally I would like to see that overload break on a light saber.
One logical reason the Jedi would be allowed to a red light Sabres would be simple battle confusion …. the Sith thinking that they had more on their side and not knowing who was who free for a split second would be confusing enough for The Jedi to actually win over the sith
Wonderful!
The color of Red is not simply a symbolic representation of the Dark Side as a lightsaber color, but more importantly, it represents that which the Sith embrace whereas the Jedi avoid or even deny.
Passion.
The Sith embrace passionate emotion to facilitate their power, but it is the Dark Side that twists and even perverts that passion into the realm of the negative: Fear, Anger, Hate, and Suffering.
Any negative emotion at all, combined with passion, can be poisoned by the Dark Side, driving a Sith to near madness or zealotry, allowing their emotions not just to augment their power but also possibly rule them. Even the strongest and wisest Sith are subject to this weakness, even at minimal effect, letting it seep into their restraint and nudge them towards arrogance, carelessness, narcissism, and egocentric selfishness that they become blinded to even the smallest possibilities of their enemies potential to turn the tables and defeat them.
Sidious, the culmination of the Rule of Two, showed that even he was susceptible to this weakness when he was torturing Luke, never considering his joke of an apprentice, Vader, would turn against him in that pivotal moment, only for Vader, reclaiming his identity as Anakin Skywalker, moved by the faith and love of his son, to seize the man responsible for all the pain and suffering and loss in his life and then throw him to his demise
Even this emphatic defeat did not teach Sidious a lesson, for when he returned and thot had he triumphed with his Final Order and believed his granddaughter could not defeat him Rey proved him wrong by channeling the Dyad in the Force she shared with Ben Solo, as well as the wisdom, strength, and guidance of the Jedi who came before her, to turn Sidious' power back upon himself, destroying him and the Sith once and for all
Passion is what underlies the emotions of the Sith but their abuse of the Dark Side warps and corrupts them, transforming them into prisoners of their own twisted delusions.
The Red Lightsaber is indeed the symbolic torch of the blazing Dark Side within the Sith, but is also radiates with their own arrogance that blinds them to their flaws, their shortcomings, and their weaknesses or else their enemies' ability to defeat the Sith
Awesome!
If the Sith rule about taking a crystal from a Jedi and bleeding it is true, why have we not gotten a story of where Sirius got his blades? The only Sith vs Jedi battles told during the Rule of Two were with Bane and Zannah.
this is Star Wars Legends not canon just for anyone who's curious.
As far as I'm concerned, Legends is Canon. "Bleeding" your crystal is such an edgy tween thing. "Gah, I'm so angry! I'm going to dramatically take apart my lightsaber so I can make my crystal feel my pain and suffer with me because I'm a Sith now." It's just so dumb. Also, writers are constantly adding stuff from legends back into the canon because that's where all the good content actually is. It's very telling that Disney has done pretty much nothing with the sequels era once they finished the third movie. The original canon is actually well thought out and everybody knows it. I'd almost bet that they'll eventually retcon the whole bleeding thing in a couple years.
@@lilhoss4reals "Bleeding" a crystal is edgy, but Kyber crystals are borderline sentient and the dark side is like an emotional parasite so it hardly seems out of place. it seems to me like it's a representation of the severe narcissism and major mental illnesses present in most if not all of the Sith.
Logically both sides should be able to energize their crystal and presuming a Jedi's blade is charged with resolve from the light then I'd presume it would have a similar effect.
I it's very easy to put up 2 videos a day, when you have 2 good ideas!
The problem is this!
That doesn't mean that I have time, which means probably 95% of all of us dose't have time!
Bude, if you love your work, go ahead and work :D
We all gain on it, in the end either way!
They’re synthetic :P
7:49 Please do.
Cant believe this is a thing, but i really appreciate you not calling your subscribers and fans Casuals haha
I've noticed that the star ships of the rebels shoot red bolts.. the empire ships shoot green.. yet its opposite for light sabers... why?
If the red occurs because the crystal has been forced to bleed, then I’d be surprised that a Jedi would want to wield it. Surely they would want to mend the crystal hence turning it white.
How about the darksaber
I've never really understood the term "more powerful lightsaber."
They let them use red to test them. See what happens. That way they can better predict what’s going to happen.
Yes, all Jedi who used red lightsabers! ⚔️
Isn't this Legends?
I believe it depends on the force wielder to choose his color weather it be red or blue or what ever I don't believe in the two color camp light or dark
This is extremely dangerous. Red lightsabers drawn to the dark. I understand why some Jedi use other lightsaber color. It's ok if some Jedi used red lightsaber, they were allowed. I would like to see red lightsaber broken by another on screen or tv. May the Force be with you too😊
So did the jedi Bleed there crystals to get red ones or what?
Why didn't jedi do the same with there Krystals an the lightside. An yes I would love to see it
I think the armorer just had haterd for sith and red lightsabers in general. Not really something to read into.
The real reason for the colors is blue good red bad. So the audience can have a visual distinction
Day 491 of asking for a part 3 of what if anakin was trained by qui gon
Due to the nature of red crystals, they can short-circuit Jedi lightsabers.
Let's hear more about the jedi using red lightsabers and why.
I think the"red is stronger" does NOT apply to purple & black blades , U would assume purple would be much stronger, when the verse about red being stronger specifally refers to green & blue
Still nothing beats the blue light saber: Obiwan easily block Dookoo Force Lightning with the blue light saber holding by one hand heck even Rey can block both hands of Palpatine force lightning by one of the blue lightsaber also by using one hand however the green lightsaber sucks at blocking the force lightning as Yoda lost his light saber by both hands Palpatine force lightning even though he hold it with both hands.
no i don't want RNG in lightsaber duels, thank you
215th like!👍
Awesome video!🤘
Keep up the awesome work!🤘😎🤘
Because reds da fastest
No. Red crystals cannot lead you to the Dark Side. Only your own fear and hatred can.
I think its getting to be a bit of lazy writing to always have 'the sith version is even moar powerful!' trope.
Here's the skinny, the sith are better at making lightsabers because they are the ones who invented the lightsaber!
I disagree with you I have made made synthetic crystals in the lab the atomic structure can be made perfectly as such there are no imperfections that would hinder the flow of power. A natural crystal would have flaws and inclusions which may interfere with the flow of power. When a Jedi is at peace then the flow of power obeys the will of the force strong emotions concentration and the flaws in the crystal weakens the power out put. The flaws are necessary in a natural crystal to keep the crystal stable. When a crystal is bled the force is used to change the alignment of the atoms of the Crystal like straightening a river to increase the flow of water no matter what the does to the crystal. Bled crystals are always unstable because the crystal is not meant to be that way. the weaker the sith the more unstable the crystal because it wants to go back to it's natural form
C
NNNNNNOOOOOOO
I liked the bleeding the crystal better than this......I guess this is just another way Disney has messed up star wars lore. As a sith you have to kill a Jedi and take his lightsaber, then bleed it with hate........much cooler imo.
No, it's not. The idea that they're all red because they're artifically made makes much more sense and the idea that all kyber crystals are naturally attuned to the light side of the Force is dumb. And the bleeding the crystals thing is a much newer lore - the artifical crystals version is the original lore.
Star Wars Legends is true Star Wars. I'm done with Disney, their stories are so damn boring.
I was a teenager and I grew up here in Australia and then, as now, it was pretty rare to find another young bloke or Sheila who had EVER read, or even owned a full length comic or "illustrated novel" if you like, of any kind.
Even a Batman, Superman or Spiderman enthusiast was a very, very rare thing. And NOT because of "bullying" either. I can only really put it down to being a "cultural difference," though why or how this specific difference came about, I can't seem to say.
It would be a great thing for the subject of a University Paper, though.
You could title it something like "why Aussies don't give a Rat's .... about Comics, the self-important little snotrags, wait till I get 'em out on the Rugby Paddock then we'll see who gives a ..
Blah, blah, blah, blah etc etc" or ...
"Why Australian teenagers don't seem to care for Comics"
not as powerful than black.
