I travel a lot, and when I do I always plan it just a little bit, so I can still do whatever I want when I discover the place while knowing enough not to miss the best parts. That's pretty much the conclusion of this video: Be efficient, but chill.
It’s Friday night. I’m watching TEDtalks. I’m working on learning information. After visiting my parents for about 2!hours (scheduled). I got home, made dinner, doing laundry. In the meantime, I’m watching TEDtalks and calling my family. Calling my family is enjoyable, but I did schedule it. Revelation!
"Time is the medium thru which we live". Love this perspective! I will make my daily life more roughly scheduled than specifically scheduled. Thank you Dr. Selin Malkoc ♥️
Hi, I don't follow your reasoning. I watch b/c Ted Talks are a source of wisdom & further my understanding. Who wouldn't want to keep coming back for that?
Nice interpretation of time. But there is another thing to evaluate - living standards in the US and Turkey. I think they differ even greater, but in the opposite way.
I am French and have the same conception of the american... I don't think it's cultural because i have also French friend that are with the turkish mindset....
This kinda reminds me of something Bob Proctor said recently, that awareness is more important than education. Awareness referring to general knowledge, education referring to minutely detailed knowledge. Statistically, book smart people work for street smart people.
Am still trying to figure out what she was saying... she analyzes everything she's always going to the lab trying to figure stuff out with some study group. Being spontaneous is okay sometimes but you got to have/make plans lady
Some of this seems shallow thinking. Consider perhaps that those productive people prefer relaxing activities that are also productive. Productivity =/= work. Consider hiking a mountain in a foreign country as opposed to sitting on beach in a foreign country as opposed to exploring a music museum in a foreign country. All three of these things are considered relaxing to some people; enjoyability and what is relaxing differ between people. I will however agree that being obsessed with productivity leads to negative feelings but it is worse when it is REQUIRED to be continuously productive and different from when you are choosing to be productive in ways you want to be. I would also disagree with scheduling causing a work like feeling. I think perhaps that those people may have been pressured to schedule things by family or other people to make sure everything is right. That is what I think would cause that unhappiness. I won't argue I am right due to my background because that would be an appeal to authority fallacy but will provide it nonetheless. Game designer / engineer / premed I am one of those who schedules everything and I find that I am at my happiest when my schedule is at a medium amount of filling allowing for some spontaneity as the speaker mentioned but I also am depressed when that schedule does not have at least some amount of scheduling and tend to fill that time volunteering for health organizations which tends to make me consistently happier as I see the positive effects my work has on other people's lives (I don't see it as work). I am at my most depressed when everything is completely spontaneous and uncoordinated. My opinion would thus be that a fair balance of both rather than an exclusion of either would be a more effective solution.
Well that was another 15 minutes of time Spent ,each second drawing nearer to the end ,death and no more time ,memories and everything else gone forever ,kinda funny really

You actually dont want to be efficient with your time, you want to be effective!
Effeciency is still in this view of maximizing your resources

We are missing this life by thinking and being sad that’s not right at all we must focus on present not past and future 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😃

Learning never ends
Multi-billionaires spend fortunes on self-education and consulting both in business and personal life even if they are beyond "there"
Doing the things in life that make us happy is the most important thing we can do in life.
Living for Jesus is the most important thing!

time is an illusion . inside our head , created , invented by memories from past and expectations from future !

Yes, well explained about time. time can change our life . If we respect the time then one day time will also respect us .

Nice talk! Sometimes we value the very things that will bring us down on the future.
Time requires observation, that's why the big bang seems like a bang. Time is compressed until life interacts and creates it...

I am watching at work, working at a spreadsheet while listening. Because I have to optimize my time, of course... Oh my, is that me?
I maximize my time by staring at the wall and not doing anything else.

But wouldn't this mean you would fall into being unproductive
You can use this trick only for leisure activities.
Pues si, quizás no podamos usarlo para todo, solamente en cuanto al ocio
estoyvendiendo but the only reason people want to be productive is it will lead to happiness, so why not just have the happiness?
Productive ≠ 24/7 time scheduled
