WOW! Skiathos - BOEING 757 JETBLASTS away some people

- Skiathos Airport is the most amazing airport in Europe. In todays flashback friday video I was going through my Skiathos footage from 2015, 2016 and 2017 and I was looking for crazy jetblast situation. My favorite scene happened in 2016, when a Boeing 757 jetblasts an inner tube which was hidden in a car. The B757 managed to pull the tube out of the car and blasted it far away. They weren` t able to bring it back cause it was floating on the ocean.
There are always a few people who underestimate the power of a jet engine during departure. That` s why you frequently see people falling on the ground or motor cycles and cars get damaged by the powerful jetblast of departing aircrafts at Skiathos.
The Boeing 757 is the biggest plane which is allowed to land at Skiathos Airport. The runway is too short for bigger aircrafts. The island is located in greece and you mainly see british and italian charter airlines at Skiathos airport.

note to self: Park well port or starboard of jet blast and keep loose objects tied down... unless you want your car repainted and need to sandblast, whereas.. have at it!

I was here two weeks ago it was AMAZING and beats TNCM by a mile! The planes I flew on was G-TCDX and G-TCDJ btw ;-)
Your so lucky, I'm from New Zealand and my local airport is NZCH and there is no good spotting places i know of and all you see here is a320s, q300 and q400s, the odd a380 and recently NASA's 747-SP SOFIA. I wish I had the opportunity like you, keep up the good work.
Eden Beechey at least there are turboprops in NZ here in Singapore WSSS there are only Boeing and Airbus and a ATR-72 (the only turboprop that comes to Singapore)

During the summer season Transavia always leases Boeing 737 aircrafts from GOL, Sunwing Airlines or Flydubai.

Recently one girl got smashed with her head against that wall stone near the road and died. So actually these adults should be fined for allowing children to stand there.
lenny108 I agree that this is dangerous, however the accident happened in Saint Maarten, not in Skiathos.
There are warnings in both airports, so everybody there knows that any accidents will be their own fault.
That's the difference between The U.S. and the rest of the world. In the US there would be barricades in place and nobody could get near the blast zone. Elsewhere in the world, they let Darwin claim his victims.
