Lucy and Maximus are both around 20 so Shady Sands being nuked 10 or 15 years ago makes sense. Maximus looked around 8 years old when Shady Sands was destroyed.

Max is a young squire with the other young squires. Lucy is a young woman just starting her life. Ella literally just played a highschool kid on another show.

Maximus is like 6 when Shady sands is blown up. Assuming the explosion happened in 2282, right after New Vegas, that would make him arround 20 since the show takes place in 2296, so 14 years after that. Makes sense.
Exactly, just because Aaron Moten is 30+ doesn't mean the character is that age. No one growing up in a nuclear wasteland is going to look like a modern 20yr old actor.

The Fall of Shady Sands occurring in 2277 lines up with the First Battle of the Hoover Dam, so it looks like that year, and that battle was the beginning of the downfall of the NCR. The nuking of Shady Sands was clearly after the events of New Vegas. It’s not a retcon. It’s continuing the story in a unique and interesting way

@@YungBeezer The Fall was the battle with Legion and House. Nuke was it's own event, dumbo, which came years after the fall. Have you played New Vegas? If yes, time to play it again, because you clearly missed a LOT of lore.
if this takes place just after the events of new vegas the main question on my mind is how is vault tec somehow or possibly in control of new vegas will this be following after the ending where we rule new vegas and kick cesars legions out of nevada or will this be after the events of a different ending from fallout new vegas?

Just one question: where is Shady Sands? Fallout 1 & 2 have it hundreds of miles north of the Boneyard (LA). The show seems to show that the Shady Sands that was nuked was in Los Angeles itself or somewhere nearby. Was Shady Sands moved from its original location between Fallout 2 and the show? Or is this a straight retcon?
Enclave and vault 31 could have made a deal for protection of the vaults experiment. hence it survived from mutants in fo1
I've been saying this since the release of the show; there is a HUGE difference between the FALL of something and the DESTRUCTION of something. People need to learn basic grammar.
As a non-native speaker, to me the arrow in between events made it clear. There was the fall and afterwards it got nuked. People arguing it's the same thing; then why have it take up two spots on the time line with an arrow in between? You don't even need to know grammar to have common sense.

The exact location is irrelevant, it’s still in Cali. That’s all that rly matters, plus for all we know they could’ve relocated shady sands before 2296 and that’s why it’s over near LA. Isn’t the first time a franchise as moved a location a little bit to serve the story, ultimately it doesn’t matter.

The 1st battle of Hoover Dam was in 2277. Most likely, Josua managed to capture shady sands using a small legion force while the NCR was busy protectong the dam. However, the NCR whiped the floor with legion, so Shady Sands was probably captured for a very small amount of time.
Alot of debate for a chalkboard image. My best guess is that they wanted to keep the date of the bomb vague so instead of giving a proper date with event they just used a mushroom cloud. In the video Todd says 'sometime after New Vegas' so even he doesn't know the date (or he might not know when New Vegas takes place). As for the Fall of 77 could mean anything. Hopeville did get blown up. The was the First Battle of Hoover Dam which the NCR won, but led to more fighting with the Legion. Or maybe it's an event that they want to explain in season 2. If it does turn out to be a mistake date then they left themselves enough wiggle room to get out of it.
I'm curious to see what became of the Mojave, and if the courier will be involved with this crazy story. We going back, baybee!

My only complaint is that the cars just look like regular cars form the 40s and 50s. No nuclear powered looking cars.

There are multiple variants. The Prydwyn is the flagship in FO4 but there are other copies of it as well with different names. Similar to the Titantic and it's sister ships. You can find terminals In FO4 describing the fleet of air ships.

Downfall is 2077, followed by the nuke, with no date. Downfall is most likely related to president Aaron Kimball, NCR going imperial and being spread thin, as to NV.

Even if the nuke happened after the events of FNV and is a seperate event from the Fall of Shady Sands I'm pretty sure some of the characters in FNV would've mentioned something about it in the game if the capital had already fallen.. No one did though. So, it still seems like an inconsistency to me.
Chances are by 2281 Shady Sands is no longer the capital, just a popular city.

From the timeline, the most likely cameo or a character in season 2 will be the "Sole Survivor" from Vault 111 in FO4. Its the closest in the timeline. Or a descendant of
the Courier from FONV, that if the "Yes Man" ending is a canon and prolong his/her life.

How did Shady Sands teleport 250 miles south? It doesn't make sense that it's that far from Vault 13... The show isn't canon
unfortunately , The Game Deveplopers themselves said the show is canon and that all game events that happened did happen and tie into the lore, the distance of shady sands was most likely just for the shows story, and theres a lotta time cuts so we dont know just how far the characters traveled.

They already did? in the games? One thing is to weave in content that they are going to use for next seasons, the other is revisiting old lore for the sake of old lore. They are not going to revisit Zeta because it's already been covered.
The Mother ship Zeta was known only by a few people, who mostly opted to remain on the ship, so basically no one in the Wasteland knew it happened, and would only be shrugged off as rumor or a tall tale.
If you're still complaining about whats canon and whats not at this point after everyone has been so clear, you're not a real fallout fan.
