5 years later I find this. Probably one of the BEST straight to the point, DIY home repair I have watched. If you still see replies...thank you sir and I wish you the BEST.
Thank you!
This guy is so gentle mild and kind haha
The perfect DIY demonstration. That zoom on your grout removal was stellar. Thanks for taking the time to add that extra touch!
I can watch you all day! Thank you for making it look so simple for this single mom!
Wow, this was not just informative, but simple, clear, and well-paced information. Thank you so much for this service!
I love that this is clear and to the point without a lot of off the cuff chit chat in between that takes unnecessary time. This helps me so much!
A very helpful and easy to watch video. You have a great teaching voice...easy to follow and not a lot of uhs and ums. Thanks for posting!
Thanks for the easy-to-understand, straight-to-the-point instructional video!

Thanks for watching!
Absolutely brilliant! Clear precise instructions!!! For a new DIYer this is exactly what I needed - thanks
Excellent discussion and demonstration. Demonstration of dealing with inside edge could add to completeness.
Thank you for this video. Very straight forward, simple but helpful instructions and tips!
Wow you made it so easy. Took me about 1/2 hours to repair a small section. Now to find one to replace silicone caulking around my shower.
What a great teacher this man is! Speaks concisely, knows just how to demonstrate and point out the important pieces of information. Thank you for this video!
Wow, thanks!
Good cleaned job bro, easy and straight to the core. Thanks!

Thank you! Very clear, very precise, with sufficient explanation and subsequent demonstration. You are a very good teacher!!
Aww -- thank you, Mockingbird7504!
Oh boy, I am going to fix all the grout now! Thank you!
Video was very helpful and the simple and straightforward instructions enabled me to successfully re-grout my daughter and Son in lawâs shower.
Yup, they've been tearing it up.
Very Bob Ross-like pace and tone. Certainly educational. Thanks!
Thank you for the small important details like swiping the grout DIAGNOLLY when applying. Small details are so important. Great Video
Hey Susan - thanks for the feedback, and thanks for watching. :)
Thank you so much for the video. I feel confident enough to fix the cracks in my shower
Thank you. You are a great teacher. You explain things well and have a kind demeanor .
So nice of you!
Thank you! My house is 2 years old and I found some sections of grout that are just plain missing and some that were cracking. Your video gave me the confidence to do it myself!
Nice!
This happens when your house is subject to a lot movement (vibrations) called settlement. Probably your tiles have been laid directly on wood which is not a good substrate to tile onto. Happened the same in place which wasn't built as well more than 2 years ago.
Can I use that little grout removal tool to remove grout on my kitchen floor ? Probably tough since it's a larger area plus the grout lines are thicker. thx
Thank you so much! I've got a few cracked out pieces of my grout that need to be filled and this will help immensely!
Thanks for the simple instruction
Well done. Very carefully instructed with product name and background reasons.
For anyone wondering, there's a triangle grout remover tool that is much easier and has 3 different sizes on each side, when I used the saw the blade quickly dulled. The triangle tool costs 2 dollars more than the saw. I bought both, tried the triangle tool and much more efficient, cleaner edges
Thanks for sharing!
@AmplifyDIY video was awesome and informative tho, was able to gain the confidence to do my grout on my own.
I'm with arte C+: really good, clear video. After all of those careful, patient instructions, I would add that you want to use unsanded grout on the tiles due to the small distance between the tiles. Really good video. My thanks.
After reading comments from so many other videos to not do what they do I found yours, and it helped a first timer so much. Iâm not a handyman, so this was very useful and I thank you.
You are so welcome!
Thanks so much for the inspirational video! I never imagined I could re-grout my bathroom on my own, but now I know I can!
You can do it!
You really can learn anything on CZcams! Thanks!
This is exactly the situation I have to deal with! Thank you!
Perfectly informative and descriptive tutorial with no bs. Watching this video was like sipping a cold one after a long week. Thanks man!
I'm glad you liked it. Thank you!
Excellent tutorial! Thanks.
Nice video.
It has taken me a few attempts at this and its slowly looking better each time. Learning the amount of moisture required in the sponge and the amount of time to wait before sponging seems to be the key for me.
It's a delicate balance for sure. Thanks for watching!
SMARTEST instruction I've seen yet. Thank you for your patient explanations and perfect speaking voice! â„â„â„
@@hb2088 Perhaps you should be asking the maker of this video.
@@enriquesanchez2001 so sorry. I thought I did.
Thank you for the grout vid! Thank you multiple times.
Taking a moment to appreciate that camera work. Thanks for the info and good camera work.
Thanks for the feedback, and for watching!
Nice, clear, simple. Thanks for your approach.
Thanks for watching!
So glad I found your video. Easily explained. Iâve done a lot of home improvement jobs on my own but never grout. I have same problem as you did but in more spots. I found a bag of grout the previous owners left. They put the same exact tile on the floor so Iâm assuming they used same grout for both bathtub tile and floor tile. Now all I need is to find out the right consistency to make it Making sure itâs not going to flake like you said if itâs too watery. Thanks. This helped a lot.
You are so welcome!
Thank you for a clearly shown demonstration! Your end result looks great.
Thank you!
Thank you for this video! I've been in my house for about 2 years now. I've called the builder twice already about the same problem! now off to elbow grease grout!
Explained and demonstrated very well, thank you.

Great video Thank you !
Tremendous teaching thank you!
Thank you, Isaiah!
Nicely done tutorial. I'm just about ready to regrout our shower wall tiles above the tub. When removing the cracked grout (over a week ago), I discovered (to my dismay) that there WAS NO MORTAR behind some of the tiles -- the 20-year-old gypsum wall had disintegrated from being wet. Instead of fixing a few grout lines, I ended up removing about 30 tiles and rebuilding 5 square feet of wall (with Durock), cleaning off and re-installing the old tiles with thinset, and FINALLY got to this point of regrouting. Took days, not including the 30-mile round trip to the nearest "big box store" for tools, materials and supplies. Your cheerful demeanor here gives me strength as I round the final lap in this project. THANKS!
Oof.. I feel your pain. I'm having flashbacks to when I bought my very first house around 20ish years ago... everything passed inspection, but the day we took possession I pulled up the carpeting in the family room as we planned to re-do the floors before moving in. The floor in one corner was damp and rotted almost completely through. Turns out the tiled shower in the master bathroom backed up to that room, and had been leaking for many years. Had to do a complete bathroom gut/remodel on top of all the other plans we already had for that house.
Anyhow, I'm glad to hear you are closing in on finishing your project! Sounds like you caught it before it got REALLY bad!
Great easy to follow video. Thank you!!
Thanks for watching!
This is so helpful!!!! Great job! bell rang!
Well done video, thank you!
Thank you very much. Well narrated & helpful!
You're very welcome!

Thanks, very clear!
Super video. Love the close up shots. Makes me confident I can do this
You got this!
@@AmplifyDIY I did it and it turned out pretty good. No more leaking. Just wished I used sanded grout as the rest of the old grout looks slightly different, rough
Good stuff, Iâm going to buy a Ryobi One multi tool to remove the grout. Itâll come in handy for other tasks as well.
Thanks for the perfect video!
Within the first minute, this video wasnât suitable for my needs. However this will now be my go to video next time I need to grout the bathroom.
Thank you.
