    When you put two actuators on a board, did you wire them in series or parallel? Or how did you run them together?

    • @AmplifyDIY
      @AmplifyDIY Před 3 dny

      I used 2 amps, which were fed the same signal from my laptop using a splitter. Each exciter was wired to a single channel on each amp, and the subwoofer was wired to a dedicated sub channel on one of the amps. So, these were wired in parallel - though you *can* certainly wire them in series, if your amp is rated for the increased resistance per channel. Thanks for watching!

    • @SuperLittleTyke
      @SuperLittleTyke Před 4 dny

      @@AmplifyDIY I was desperate to do something, because the dang carpet was such a nuisance. And 5mm MDF is so cheap, if it fails after six months I'll just buy another sheet! I didn't want to use 10 mm, because I didn't want there to be a step to trip over. The 5mm kinda sinks into the carpet, making the transition from carpet to hard floor very gentle.

  • @SuperLittleTyke
    @SuperLittleTyke Před 5 dny

    I hate carpets. I just happen to be lumbered with them. I moved into my current brand-new house a few years ago and it had fitted carpet throughout except in the bathroom. It really looked nice as the builder showed me around. Pristine beige carpet everywhere! It didn't stay pristine for long. Soon I was buying a more powerful vacuum cleaner. As I got older, I needed more stamina to push the nozzle across the carpet, especially when the suction was turned right up. But as time passed, inevitably the carpet got dirty. So I then purchased a carpet washer. This does work, though the manufacturer's genuine detergent (which you're supposed to use exclusively if you don't want to void the warranty) costs and arm and a leg. Actually, both arms and both legs. That liquid is exorbitantly priced. I should have had all the carpet ripped out ages ago and had wood flooring laid instead. I have a lot of contact with European families and in practically every house I visit, they have either wooden floors or ceramic tiles, both of which a dead easy to keep clean compared to carpet. I believe hard flooring is also the norm in Australia.

The heater is Bradford White and the Temp is in "A" position. when I check the water temp coming out of faucet (via infrared thermometer) is comes out at about 145F. • @AmplifyDIY
      @AmplifyDIY Před 4 dny

      Do you have an expansion tank? If not, it may be time to install one, as the pressure rise due to water expansion when heating that hot (145F is quite hot) is likely enough to cause your T&P valve to dribble just a bit. Here's more on expansion tanks: czcams.com/video/NGygvtP6Sdk/video.html

      @@AmplifyDIY Thank you for this information. Yes, my system has an expansion tank. What I find odd, is that the tank thermostat is unlabeled, - it is the one by Icon System and the information what each settings mean is no where near to be found. Some say that A setting is 120, B 130 and C 140, but my water as I mentioned before is at 145 F with the A settings. I lowered the setting to HOT and will retest. I will also watch the other video to learn more about the expansion tanks.
