- This is a crazy apartment… but the price tag is even crazier (at least to me). If you can afford it, youll enjoy every minute you spend here.

Great news! If you make a purchase from any link above, my channel earns a small affiliate commission from the site.
People who can afford to pay $4,500 a month in tax aren't worried about paying $4,500 a month in tax.
Exactly
The difference in what NY considers a great view (ie: bunch of building and a freeway) compared to what everyone else in the country considers a great view (land, tree’s, ocean, lake, mountains, etc) is mind blowing.
The skyscrapers are magnificent! 😍
I never understood why anyone cares about a view.
@michelledml3162 Thank for saying that! The architecture is nice, otherwise this feels like hell.
Inmates have the same opinion
@@sexygeek8996 I have a skyline view and words can't describe....it's so reviving to the soul
Even if you bought one of these for me because I'm such a nice guy, I couldn't afford to live here. $50,000/year for taxes, plus building fees and utilities would total more than twice my income.
$4500/mo in just taxes? Lmao. You could buy a property of that quality in a dozen major metros for less than that in total mortgage and fees.
That’s what I’m saying
That’s why no one will buy it lol
And they aren’t NYC. If you work in New York you live in New York - and get paid NYC money.
@@jadedavis822: you don't understand NYC or its real estate market. The developer will have no problem finding a buyer who wants to live in midtown Manhattan.
@@jadedavis822 The headline sez rent, not buy. It’ll sell quick.
$2.5 million and you get fake rumpled grass in the backyard
😂😂 I was thinking the same thing.
Yeah, with a garden it would sell quicker imo
Any newbie designer would change that out immediately. Me, I'd do some pretty mosaic tiles, and add patches of low growing plants, like clover or moss.
54,000 a YEAR just in taxes?!? For an apartment??? Who, what, WHY???
this isn't meant for us peons that work 9-5s and shop at costco
Right? My house was $40K. And taxes are &400. A YEAR! Ok, my furnishings aren't as nice but I'm pretty sure I could do it for a lot less than that.
AND, I have a yard and a double garage.
No thanks, NYC. I'm happy with what I've got.
The filming angles and video editing is really phenomenal. So fun to watch!
Fun is his dirty shoes inside every single bath and shower, every single video I watch he does the same. disgusting.
Cash- You and Jamin are the consummate sales team. Under the- Are you convinced yet clause-(which might be listed next to the (in)sanity clause😊) will definitely work for the many billionaires and millionaires in NYC. If you go to Chicago you will find relatively little difference.
Your energy is always top notch.
Keep going!☮️👏👏👏👏
Is it just me or does seeing Jordan & other people in these crazy expensive places with their shoes on super disturbing? Like you've been stepping on street mixed with sewage water/rat/garbage and now you have that all over the house, the bathroom, rug etc.
Japanese would probably have a heart attack lol
At 4:40 Even if you paid ALL CASH, $2.5 million !!! you'd still have to pay $4500 a month taxes and $2100 in common charges = *$6600 FOR ETERNITY !!!* There's something wrong with this picture. The city, the builders, and the management, it's all just a money grab. What do the insanely high monthly taxes and common charges actually pay for. Someone needs to investigate the city records and laws and challenge them.
It’s all going to house the illegal aliens
Well said

Dude, stop smoking the ganja.
Heyyyy.... Jamin is back! Him being a somewhat a regular is a hoot
Being able to look out into the backyard (even though the grass is “plastic turf”) makes you feel like you live in a house with a real yard. I really like this place.
Plant whatever you like. It is only limited by your imagination. :)
I did not like the fake grass... I'd rather have the cement and plants all around...
Taxes = Kryptonite to rich people.
Kryptonite to ANYONE!😅
I don't feel sorry for the rich. Heck, let taxes be $10,000 a month.
Always great to see Jamin. Seeing Jamin riding a giraffe, bonus! 🦒⚘️
Is your office still in a closet? Enquiring mind (nosy fans) want to know.
Did dude just say you pay 4500 a month taxes? Lol what? Why didn't you just leave right then lol. What in the world
those taxes are the only negative thing for me.
My mortgage plus taxes together in Austin aren't anywhere NEAR $4500 a month.
Mine either and that is awesome!😊
I like watching these videos to remind me about how poor I am.
Love the bottom townhome. Very nicely decorated and plenty of space. The price is not as bad as others I have seen for the same price. See ya
Hi Cash and to your friend wow this is gorgeous penthouse in NYC. The price is good too. I wish I can afford to rent in NYC stay cool and hopeful👍😀
Love this place. Jamin is a jem😊😊
I can why y’all are realtors. This is a beautiful place and for NYC it’s a “steal.” However I could stay here in SC and buy something much more grand for that price. I do enjoy your videos Cash! Keep up the good work.
It’s beautiful! Both of them. Love the triplex a lot!
Jamin, that stitching on your jacket was 🔥 🔥 🔥! Love you, friend.
merci beaucoup
I can think of other things to spend $4500 a month on other than property taxes. Fail!
He spouts out these ridiculous fees like it's not robbery. All that plus 45 hundred a month. Only a fool would pay this. If you can afford this you should be on a quiet property upstate. Not inhaling smog and dealing with the bs of the city
Try Singapore. "In this city, the right to own a car starts at $76,000. And that doesn’t include the car." CNN
"Then there are the costs of the vehicle itself to think about.
The quota system was introduced in 1990 to minimize traffic and reduce emissions in a space-starved city state that is home to 5.9 million but boasts an impressive public transport network.
It has put cars out of reach for the average resident of Singapore, where the median monthly household income in 2022 was $7,376 (10,099 Singapore dollars), according to the Department of Statistics....
Locals say living in Singapore, already ranked the world’s most costly city, has gotten extraordinarily expensive in recent years amid persistent inflation, rising costs of public housing and a slowing economy.
But supporters of the quota system say it has helped spare Singapore the sort of congestion that routinely snarls up other Southeast Asian capitals such as Bangkok, Jakarta and Hanoi.
Those who can’t afford a Certificate of Entitlement can also make use of Singapore’s extensive public transport system they point out.
Failing that, there is the option of getting a motorbike - permits for which are a relative snip at $7,930 (10,856 Singapore dollars)."
True.
So many stairs and the taxes 🤐
Jamin Lin is a wonderful compliment 2 Cash. I would luv 2c more of those 2 unique names!
Thank you for another great video ❤❤
@cash. I’ve lived in NY most of my life the taxes are crazy but the price $2.75mil for 2bedroom/3 story penthouse w/all that outdoor space is not outrageous for that part of manhattan. What is crazy is the $4,500/mo taxes (too high for huge market like NYC), + $2.100/monthly maintenance.
They need to take long hard look at those taxes.
I did photoshoot project years ago Chelsea-meat packaging neighborhood of Manhattan, in some hideous triplex, penthouse apt that was $19million, had 4 tiny shoe box bedroom and construction was horribly cheap/inferior. Everything was darkly lit, deliberately I assume to hide all the faulty details. I am sure no one with brains bought that apt.
Thank you very much for sharing wonderful gorges enjoyable video take care
Awesome video!
I love this part of NYC! Right near the Javits, the best meat market, and Hudson Yards!!!!
This place is awesome with the warehouses, parking lots and scaffolding lol
great apartment hope someone can afford it.
And 7k per month!😩
@@bungeechord1 If that is too rich for your blood, move on to the next and leave it for those with serious wealth.

Maybe when I finally win the Publisher's Clearing House sweepstakes. LOL
Not many people afford that. Or if they can arw willing to spend it
Jamin is adorable! 😊

Aaaw, he really is...❤❤❤❤
Love Jamlin!
Brownstones are much nicer.
Plus better made. Ever hear of "tofu dreg".
Lovely penthouse, spacious and light.
I love that Cash will never learn how to pronounce Miele. 😄😄😄
I like the modernity of both and the price for each is good for midtown Manhattan but the decor and fitments are BLAND. I would buy off plan and specify my own bathrooms and kitchen.
This is Gonna b so Good CJ🔥🔥🔥👍n Happy Thursday😀….
Im here for the first time so fast! :D Once again, great apartment.
Over here in the Netherlands we have a candy-store chain called Jamin :-)

That cannot be right. Even for rich people that's a hard sell.

I can’t pretend I’m not missing Charles….BUT I do like Jamin - he’s cool. He could probably persuade me to buy that wonderful triplex, and don’t ask me how I’d afford it.
Just wondering...are there any ADA apartments available there. If so, can we see a couple? If there aren't any, why not?
I kept waiting for the reason nobody would rent it. Turns out, that the reason nobody would rent is because it's for sale not rent. I block channels that use clickbait titles as to not feed their greed.
Ok - I think in addition to the sink sprayers, we are gonna need monthly taxes amounts from here on out 😁😁😁 Thanks Cash!
I'm all for this! With property taxes and building maintenance, this adds 50% on top of the mortgage payment. Highway criminality.
Pretending that $$$$$ wasn’t an issue- and the fact the taxes would be equivalent to renting a separate apartment or mortgage on another condo- do like the neighborhood and many things about the residence. I could see myself living there when I’m not at my beach house on the beach of my choice :)
YES Cash and it has a sink sprinkler!!
$87,600 a year for Property Taxes and HOA fees? Close to Port Authority Bus Terminal fumes … Nice!
Listen for all that money you better leave my giraffe 🦒 alone! 😂😂😂😂
Imagine your money in Miami... You would be in an insane condo with private parking on ocean views or a house on inlet to the ocean with a boat docked right outside... Your extra tax money could go towards the sports cars you put into your 3 to 5 car garage there...NY has got to drop the taxes a lot if they want to compete..
But, I will watch Cash any time he posts!
Only one problem with that plan. it's Miami.

Always great to see Jamin. I loved his pants! Hmm... I think that $2.5M is a very good price for that triplex and it does have a lot of space, but something just doesn't excite me about it. Maybe it's the monthly fees and taxes. That's expensive!!! For some reason I liked the penthouse much better but not at $2.75M. Again, maybe it's the monthly fees and taxes. I just have mixed emotions about them both and when you're talking about that type of money, I think you really need to love something or just pass on it.
Nope. Even if I had the money I wouldn't buy it because of the taxes. 4500 a month? No sir!
LOL @ that agent, he made high property tax sounded completely justified.
I lived in NYC for 25 years. You could not pay me enough money to live in any of these shit hole over priced apartments. Not $100M - I would never go back.
The clear railings on those balconies are enough to scare the crap out of me. I’m afraid of heights so they couldn’t even give that place to me and I wouldn’t or should say couldn’t walk that many stairs. There should be an small elevator that holds 2. Big time pass on this one.
That’s $4500 common fees, meaning utilities, upkeep and taxes. Seems high for no doorman. But - keeps the hoi polloi out.
Crazy high for no D/M.
No. It's $4500 in taxes PLUS $2100 maintenance fees. $79,200 per year. Yikes!
Actually it keeps everyone out!😅
lol after 31 years uve paid for it twice

I thought my property taxes were high. $4500 per month. Wow!!!!! Gorgeous place though and I agree the price is great.
Love the triplex. Wish I had the bucks.
Don’t think I’d fancy a lift that opened straight into my apartment. I’m sure there are codes and things but have visions of a masked marauder bursting in😅
Right!? The first thing I could think of was putting some type of metal door at the elevator 😂😂
feeling this one
Manhattan: The nepo baby of the friend group. She's got generational wealth and is a bit smug and disconnected, but still a really fun party girl and she buys shots for her friends.
Brooklyn: The hipster who used to be poor and then got a bit of money, but she's a bit a bit stingy. She's really wild though, she'll be the girl doing tequila shots at 4AM.
Queens: She's a bit quiet, but still knows how to have a good time. She doesn't put up with people's crap, has a little bit of a ghetto side but mostly polite.
Bronx, The: She's the ghetto girl, loves to get into fights especially when drunk, but she has a heart of gold. She's a bit scary but really fun once you get to know her.
Staten Island: Mom made the rest of the boroughs hang out with her. Nobody really wants her there, and the one time per year she makes it out, she just kinda kills the vibes. And she definitely voted for Trump.
cheaper to buy then rent.
Love the character of the other realtor 😊
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Say bro. You f****** did this one. 👏🏾👌🏾💯
We love Cash Jordan. Beautiful penthouse!
That’s what wrong with NY. Over priced homes that are taxed to death. Good luck with that.
Exactly !!! Because the city is so wasteful and corrupt, they continue to raise property taxes, cut services for the poor, and the elites get rich and the expense of everyone else. Just imagine, $2.5 million. 20% down = $500,000. First off, who has $500,000 laying around? ... and that's just the beginning. With a 30 year fixed mortgage at 8% = $14,000 a month. This is highway criminality, for a small builder grade 2 bedroom apartment. Add to that, nearly $7,000 a month in perpetuity for the rest of your life, you're looking at monthly payments of $21,000 a month. It wasn't long ago when the world balked at paying $50,000 a month for an entire mansion on 5th Avenue, across the street from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Only oligarchs and dirty money will be buying this slightly-better-than-IKEA apartment.
Number 1 rule of selling real estate: don’t mention property taxes!!!
Morning all
Uh, I have a two-bedroom boutique condo unit five miles from downtown's skyscrapers and ten miles from the airport. Mortgage: $502. HOA: $145. Just hop into the car and go about 2,500 miles west.
But what is the elevation of that basement after all the recent flooding?
The Lincoln Tunnel would have to flood first.
Maybe it's just me but all these luxury apartments are all staring to look the same! The prices are of course ridiculous especially for the tri-plex with the windowless room! I thought that was illegal in a new build.
Theres only so much you can do with a rectangle floating in the sky
$2.5 million. 20% down = $500,000. First off, who has $500,000 laying around? ... and that's just the beginning. With a 30 year fixed mortgage at 8% = $14,000 a month. Your thinking in YOUR world. In the financial capital of the world, clearly folk can buy that as a tax write off . If money isn’t an object- this place is a relative steal in a city where they have 100 MILLION dollar units that are just 20 blocks away. This isn’t for the 99%. But for the robber barons of today? This is a steal in mindtown Manhattan. If you are plain regular rich? Then I agree you are a fool lol
4500 monthly in taxes is just crazy😂
Love this place EXCEPT for the awful fake grass. That shit has to go.
Great apartment. I just wish it were in Alabama where it could be a bit more affordable. LOL It wouldn't have the same character if it were anywhere else though.
Hmmm. I can see this working for the target buyer. The price is ok, this potential buyer does not need a mortgage and this 2.5 mil is not their whole net worth obviously. They “park” the cash in this apartment (which is priced lower than others in the area), and pay taxes and HOA as if it is rent (and actual rent for this place would be higher). So they get: asset diversification (maybe this doesn’t appreciate as much, but may be ok for diversification) and lower monthly than rent for equivalent.
It can definitely work for them, if they want to live in that area.
Or maybe the even rent it out. Who knows.
NYC has plenty of ppl that fit this potential buyer profile. This is not a place to take a mortgage on.
Nice.... I think I want that one two
My idea of a beautiful view is much different that what people in NYC consider a great view.
Nope taxes nope

I can easily see oil money paying for this! If a diplomat or Saudi Prince wants their sons or daughters who want to go to Columbia and live in NYC, then this is perfect.
