I’m all for these coaches interviews. We’ve had a lot of players perspective in the last few years, throwing in coaches and staff members really help see the game from a different angle as fans

Dwight knows. One of the reasons he's been ripped apart by media is because he doesn't care about the media. People can think what they want. Dwight's going to do him and have a great time doing it. People are ripping him right now for not playing in the NBA. He looks like he's having the best time ever over there. Dwight and Stan are fine. It's us media consumers I'm worried about.

Yeah, you can really tell the reps make him more and more comfortable. Really insightful stuff. And as a Knicks fan I've always loved Q, just a stand-up dude.

I just want to thank you for having Stan on. To give him a platform and hear him speak about basketball and his experiences was great. He came off as a genuine person who cares about the game and people.

More coach interviews please! Stan might be the most polarizing coach ever, but the man knows his basketball! DMiles really shined in this episode as well.
THIS is the best episode of Knuckleheads. The best part of this podcast is when people who are knowledgeable about basketball just brag on other basketball people, whether they be big names or not.
You can tell that Coach Van Gundy has loved his life in basketball as well; that kind of thing tends to shine through. You can hear the big smile on his face when talking about the good times and the bad.
This dude gave praise to pretty much everyone who ever played or coached basketball besides himself, so much respect for the game.

Ooooooo....Gerald Wallace was low key cold for his time but can do a lot 💯💪🏾...he can score enough and play enough defense but I am a fan of his defense primarily but he was cold overall!

Been wanting a Stan Van interview for a long time. Hearing a lot players speak on him and how amazing his mind is but how wild he could be.
One thing about Stan is that he has always shown respect to all his former players, even ones that might've not spoken highly of him. And Stan was a really good coach. Turned the Magic into a perennial 50 win team, even brought the pistons back to the playoffs for the first time post the billups/wallace/hamilton era.
You can tell Stan and Jeff were raised by good parents.
This really turned out to be one of my favorite episodes great job

Stan Van Gundy is spittin' jewels on Knuckleheads. For an old school guy he's super cool it seems. Dwight Howard should have been named Top 75 Greatest Players in NBA History.

Ever since Van Gundy became a a media personality and I’ve gotten to hear him call games I really enjoy him. Insightful and I find he has a good sense of humor
Great interview, great insight! I love the way coach gave EVERYONE their props. I wish more coaches/players would speak more against negative media narratives during their playing/coaching days, so we don’t believe or assume for years that what the media says is the TRUTH and assume a guy is a bum or hard to coach for example. Thank God for these podcasts from the people who played and coached the game -very refreshing!

Stan was spittin but that saying career wise you can’t compare mj to lebron is ridiculous to me imo😂I get why he said that cuz bron is the all time leading scorer, top 5 in assists. One player won 6 chips, the other 4, 10x nba first team, the other 13x, 9x all defensive first team, 5x all defensive first team, 6x mvp, 5x mvp, 6x finals mvp, 4x finals mvp, 10x scoring champ, 1x scoring champ. Very comparable to me.
You can give Lebron the case that every team he’s been on, they’ve won!
