One of the most scary things that I am seeing more and more is that there seem to be an increase of "Christian content channels" where the creators are sharing their "deep insights" into the Scriptures with no thought of Exegesis but instead getting these "revelations" by the Spirit and their interpretation of the passage is so far out of context. Makes me appreciate channels like this.

What If you had a teacher who kept teaching you things that could not be found in the school books or any scholarly studies, or contradicted the school book? They kept saying go make an appointment' with the principle to see if what I am saying is correct. At some point you would think that teacher may not known what they are talking about.
Also who in the bible taught that way? Did Jesus repeatedly say go pray and fast to see if what I am saying is true? Did any prophet, judge, man or woman of God repeatedly do this?

@@captainmartin1219 You can’t be serious denouncing prayer and fasting? 🤦🏾‍♀️Sadly, my brother, it appears from your carnal understanding that you are lost in the sauce and never actually read and studied the Holy Bible guided by the Holy Spirit. Do you not know that the Holy Spirit teaches all God’s truth and bears witness? The greatest weapon and most powerful resources true believers of Jesus Christ have on this earth is to fight against the enemy are combining PRAYER & FASTING!!! Don’t get it twisted and don’t be deceived!!!
Spiritual Blindness is an epidemic amongst the masses and its so very sad. 🥲Your flawed, misguided viewpoint and opinion is perpetuated from the devil. Please rebuke him so he will flee and you will no longer be deceived by him.
Let me see if my limited time can throw you a peep and a way out of spiritual blindness with the undeniable correct words of God.
      FASTING
Fasting, a voluntary abstinence from food, is a principle of the gospel of Jesus Christ for developing spiritual strength; it has always existed among true believers. Without doubt it was practiced by Adam and his posterity from the beginning whenever they had the gospel among them.
LUKE 5:33 And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink?
34 And he said unto them, Can ye make the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
35 But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days. KJV
1 CORINTHIANS 7:5 Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency. KJV
ACTS 14:23 And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.KJV
ACTS 13:3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away. KJV
MATTHEW 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting. KJV This is what Jesus teaching about prayer and fasting. Jesus fasted 40 days and forty nights.
MATTHEW 6:18 That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly. KJV
JAMES 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. KJV
46 Behold, I say unto you they are made known unto me by the Holy Spirit of God. Behold, I have fasted and prayed many days that I might know these things of myself. And now I do know of myself that they are true; for the Lord God hath made them manifest unto me by his Holy Spirit; and this is the spirit of revelation which is in me.
You fail when you rely on your flesh and not the spiritual things of God to know his truth that on,y comes through the Holy Spirit.
PROVERBS 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. KJV
Do not condemn what you do not know or understand as it will be to your destruction. Those who have ears to hear will hear and those whom have eyes to see will see.
Only a foolish man would rely on his carnal mind and reject seeking the power of God to draw closer to him through prayers and fasting.
I suggest you do some research on what prayer and fasting truly is and there’s many references in the Bible which you don’t have to look further as it is the words of God that brings greater blessings into our lives. You know not because you ask not.
MARK 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. KJV
LUKE 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. KJV

While I do agree with Corey on this for the most part, I believe there should be a balance. Many of the reformed people appear to believe in the Father, Son, and Holy Bible.
Again, the Bible does not say test the spirit by the Spirit. But it does say there is a gift of discerning of spirits. What does that look like? There are some things that the Holy Spirit will reveal to us. Is the Holy Spirit still at work in the lives of believers?
Again, I believe in following what the scriptures say, but we shouldn't just rule out the idea that God may reveal something to us.

(scripture and Holy Spirit?) didn’t the religious leaders only use scripture to try and “test” Jesus, but didn’t have the Holy Spirit to bear witness and discern who Jesus was? Yes, it’s both in a sense.
I think what the message is that there are people out there who are so-called “testing the spirit by the spirit” but what they’re really doing is going off of feelings and signs around them with no foundation in God’s word (which is high risk).
As believers, we ought to test the spirit by God’s Word seeing if things line up with what He has given us to know Him by which we know is the divinely inspired Word of God meaning that it was inspired by the Spirit of the Lord.
Additionally, we pray over whatever the situation is so that the Holy Spirit will give us clarity on the matter (whether that’s more than likely by looking at the text or in addition to).

Okay, so I concur with you, but also disagree with you. The bible says the following:
"Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world." 1 John 4
It doesn't say to test or try the spirits by the Spirit, nor does it say to test them by the word of God. It just says test them. So, one can use whatever Godly means available to test or try the Spirits which may be by the word of God and/or by the Spirit. To say that you cannot test the Spirit by the Spirit and you are only able to test Spirits by the word of God is wrong. Also, the bible says, "The Word of God is spirit and life (John 6:63); it is living and active (Hebrews 4:12) and, when quickened by the Holy Spirit, has dynamic power to impart spiritual life to us." Thus, if you are testing/trying the spirits by the Word of God, you are therefore by design testing/trying them by the Spirit. You test the spirits the way you want, I'll test them the way I want to. See, I just tested the spirit of what you said by the bible and the Spirit and God told me both ways you were not wholly correct in your analysis.

There is a spiritual side to the law, or to the letter which is the wedding feast or marriage where they become one, The Word and Holy Spirit.
“Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: but we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.”
    ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭2‬:‭6‬-‭16‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Jesus said you would know them by their fruit, and he was talking about the fruit of the spirit.
“Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit. O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”
