Frog Tape is great! But not all painters tape is equal. Frog Tape specifically is coated with a powder that causes paint to gel up, which is why it is good at leaving such crisp lines. 3M painters tape, especially the delicate surfaces variety has the gelling agent infused into the tape itself. What’s the difference? Not much, but it IS possible to wipe or wash the powder off of frog tape on accident which can then cause the tape to wick paint under it as opposed stopping bleed through. It’s rarely a problem, and I personally prefer frog tape because 3M is stupid expensive, but it is something to watch out for.
I saw one of your shorts and clicked into your videos because I was impressed at the finish you got on furniture with using a brush and wanted to see what you were using. Lucky for me you just made a video on it!
Have you ever added a little bit of Flotrol to your paint before painting furniture?
@@RoidedGay That's really interesting about the frog tape, I didn't know that! That makes a lot of sense now why sometimes you can buy the frog tape in the containers that clicks shut, I'm gonna make sure that I save the container for my other rolls.
Yep, I've used Flotrol before in the past, it was quite a long time ago but I believe it worked well. Now I often use enamel paints that are self-leveling since then and I just try not to overwork them, typically using a Wizz high density foam roller if I'm not using good quality synthetic bristle brush. It was a really nice change of pace to work with this type of chalk paint this time:) Especially in the stage before I put the clearcoat on, the color is just so perfect looking, It reminded me of back in the early 2000's when it was popular to wear high coverage super matte foundation haha 😍
When you are taking off the hardware, what is the panel behind your piece? 😊
@@Stacy_Romero They're fabric panels that click together👍🏻 I wish I had a link for where to get them but like most things I have they're secondhand haha😅 I just snagged them off marketplace for cheap. I just like using them as a plain background😊
where do you find the little wood for the legs
@idmbledjkj I bought one long piece of wood at Home Depot and cut it pieces ( two long pieces for across and four short pieces for the legs) and attach them together with pocket holes for the front and back base 😊 I show it in more detail in my little "Short" here if you want to take look!

I bought one long piece of wood at Home Depot, cut in into the separate pieces and drilled them together with pocket holes. And then drilled it all into baseboards I attached underneath. I show more of the steps in my quick little "Short" here if you wanna take a look! 😊
