I honestly think they over did it. In the books Lizzie was never this uncaring or dismissive of Lydia. And even when she was Lydia didn't particularly take Lizzie's opinions into account either. She was not lonely because she had her mom, her sister Kitty, her sister Mary and even Jane. They really over did it. Although after saying all that I forget all my family's birthdays. I forget my own birthday.

You know what's worse than having a December birthday? A January 1st birthday. Everyone is awake for the firstt few hours and then they crash for the rest of the day. Not to mention that it's so close to Christmas that I usually just get some Christmas presents withheld and givin a week later :(

Haha, for some reason, there are a ton of people in my family with January birthdays. It begins the week before Christmas and doesn't stop until the end of January, and then there's one more at the beginning of February. It's a nonstop party.
***** A good friend of mine's birthday is in May right around all the finals, AP tests, and standardized testing. She told this hilarious and sad story about how she cried while eating her birthday cake as she studied for chemistry.

I think they're referring to Harriet Foster, the Colonel's wife who takes Lydia to Brighton in the book. Though it would be awesome if it were Harriet Smith instead.

I can't see it all that clearly, but I think it is a low French tuck. Do you know how to do a French braid? I would try to do it by starting the braid not at the top, but in the middle of the back of your head, finish it with just a few, thicker additions from the sides, tuck the finished braid under and fasten it with pins... (Of course, this might sound pretty cryptical if you're not into the hairstyle slang... XD)

Lydia's sweater is amazing!
A couple days ago there was a very loud and very near train whistle going off intermittently in my neighborhood. There are no trains even remotely close. I'll now maintain the fantasy that the Bennets live down the street from me. Or that Mr. Bennet's whistle has the power to reach me all the way in Northern California.

This is an excellent example of all the character development that's taken place over the course of the series. Near the start, Lizzie told stories about Lydia's antics and I was all "Ohhhh, that wacky Lydia. When will she learn?"
Now she wants to invite a volleyball team to a secret party and I'm not entirely sure whose side I'm on. Because they're both characters with depth and have both been right and wrong and THIS WEBSERIES IS GIVING ME THE FEELS.
