- Cycling the world - Europe: episode 87 - Camino de Santiago by bike
On my third day on the Camino de Santiago I made it to Villatuerta where my friend Maria and her partner were managing the albergue La Casa Magica, I crashed here for a week and helped them closing up shop (eating and drinking the stock that is). Apparently running an albergue is not that profitable.
We left together but parted very soon off to different destinies. I met Maria years ago while crossing the Americas at a Warmshowers host in Colombia with her previous boyfriend Ulysses. I spent a week with them and another Argentinian couple and they taught me to travel with no money. We met again in the amazon where we spent a few weeks with an indigenous community and I saw them again in Ushuaia in Patagonia right before leaving the continent for Africa. If I'm still on the road and fulfilling my dream of cycling the world I owe it for the most part to those four human beings.
I continued riding the trail of the Camino Frances towards Logroño capital of La Rioja where I was hosted by someone I met in Alaska back in August 2015 when I started my adventure.

@@DavideTravelli their is a big difference in volume between the fast forward music and your voice over that could do with balancing a bit, all good though great narrative 👍
I usually lower the music to -4.5dB but I guess is not enough, thanks.

Hola! Esencialmente para tener una mejor distribución del peso y permitir un mejor control/tracción en terrenos como grava suelta, arena, etc.
Is there a way to watch this video at a reduced speed? Like, 0.25 or something? I thought there was a way to slow the video down, what am I missing?
Ciao Dan, yes youtube videos can playback at different speed, I usually speed them up but you can slow down down indeed. Click/tap on the gear icon , there you'll see Plack Back speed, the defaul is to normal but you can slow it down to 0.25 or speed it up to 2
@@DavideTravelli Okay, the problem is likely my 10 yr old MacBook as the gear icon disappeared. That's why I couldn't slow it down, thanks. I'll view on my other Mac
It should be there regardless, I see on my phone I tap on the video the gear icon is on the top right. On my laptop I hover on the video with my mouse and the gear icon is on the bottom right.
@@DavideTravelli I was looking for it up top.I got it now, thanks. This is a new video for me, I think it was the last video you saw a mountain goat up close and personal;. you really had two chances of that happening, either walking, or cycling, preferably uphill and quietly. They be more common over there than the U.S. but that was pretty cool.
