    It took me a long time to get the factory short tube off. They used a metric ton of locktite that I had to burn off. You make it look really easy, and it is once you get the tube loose. When I installed the full length tube, I used just a bit of blue locktite.

    I really do appreciate how you have a long-form tutorial for the most common modifications that are done using parts your company sells.
    That being said, I wish I had watched this before I received my parts, because apparently I've never needed a heat gun until today.
    Edit and update two days later: the current models are secured using red loctite. I used a DeWalt heat gun with a digital temperature display. I started at the lower end of the heat spectrum at 250 degrees, and then once the metal started heating up gradually increased it to 1000 degrees over a period of 30 minutes or so; at that point the seal was easy to break with hand strength.
    Given that the manufacturer secures the tube with thread locker, I will be applying blue loctite to stay within manufacturer spec (blue is designed to be broken with deliberate force without heat).
    All parts that had been heated were cool to the touch again within 10 minutes after the original tube removal had occurred; you're not going to be sitting around for any significant amount of time.

    Thanks for a very useful video. I think you will put less heat into the gun with a higher heat gun setting for a shorter time. I used a Porter Cable gun set on high for 5min, and the receiver was not very hot after tube removal. I heated it just long enough for it to start to move. I cleaned the threads with an auto battery terminal wire brush.

    Just received my titanium tube, and installed it all good, love it, and made my m4 lighter. One thing to note, DEFINITELY GET THE TRIGGER KIT AND BOLT CARRIER OUT BEFORE YOU APPLY HEAT GUN. The heat will melt the trigger kit's plastic, and that can effect the trigger mechanism, meaning hammer will get stuck. Good thing I found out early, only had a little melted plastic in the front. The hammer got stuck and I cleaned it thoroughly with cleaner and it works again. whew... close call.

    Hey man, I enjoy your videos on the Benelli M4, and while I don't own one myself, but I do own a Benelli M2 that comes with a 7+1 capacity right out of the box, so with that said, keep up the good work dude!!! Plus, I have a question for you regarding the magazine removal and installation of the full tube:
    How problematic was trying to get the spring from the tube to go back and stay inside of it, without it flying right back out (let alone in your face)?
    I ask this question, is because i'm putting my Benelli M2 together as we speak, and it's kind of tricky to get the spring back in the tube (basically me learning as I go while using your videos as a sort-of "guide", since i'm new to owning shotguns)

    Asking for some advice. I installed one of these on a Tac12. The fit was extremely tight but I got it all the way on where the tube stopped rotating and there's a slight gap if you look inside the receiver. I haven't shot it yet but when I use dummy rounds the rim of the shell gets caught on that small gap between the tube and the receiver. It looks like the last shell is in place at first glance but it's not, and barely touching/wiggling the shell seems to snap it into place so it can cycle. It seems to cycle alright but when loading and pushing the last shell in, sometimes it gets stuck unless you wiggle the shell. If that happens, when you go to press the carrier latch nothing will happen. The shell will stay in the mag tube. What would be the best solution? Try to find a way to fill that gap somehow? I'd so, how? Because the tube is such a tight fit I don't know if I can get it off again without damaging threads if I haven't already.

    • @FreedomFighterTactical
      @FreedomFighterTactical  Před 2 lety

      I haven’t had an opportunity to work a problem like that so I don’t have any advice. But there is a real problem for consumers when it comes to the clones because the manufacturers claim the parts and fit of all parts are identical to OEM Benelli when in fact many of these claims are not true. Our parts are made for Benelli only and because of the inconsistencies, the lack of being proven, and the volume of knock-offs, we will never market our parts for the clones and instead I advise that people choose the real deal.
