You literally can make this video as short as 10 sec: m1014 won’t collapse. Buy this tube!
Yes, so true 👊🏻 only thousands of questions would then follow - hopefully the vid prevents that
Amen. Didn’t answer any questions besides that.
I agree. Video is way too long. Restates the same thing about 20 times once you finally talk about it…. “You need the right tube!”… but thanks for the information regardless 👍
His drive to point out and empathize over road that you need the three position tube, 2 minute video, move on......
I talked to a Benelli rep who explained why a lot of fixed stock M4s have a 3 position tubes hidden under the fixed stock. He told be that since a lot of people want a collapsible stock , but can't legally have the collapsible stock in their states they install the stock on a solid tube. They now have an over abundance of the 3 position tubes and are putting them under the fixed stock because that stock won't collapse and won't be a legal issue in any state. It makes sense to me.
I'm Chinese American (citizen) and I love guns (staunch conservative and 2A advocate) - I understand that many viruses are named after their place of origin (Lyme Disease, West Nile, Ebola, German Measles, etc.) I just want to let you know that there are many of us in your corner, and although I understand why you call it the Chinese virus, that might alienate some of us who are more under the sway of MSM...
Otherwise, thank you for the video - really good content - thinking about buying a Benelli M4 for my dad
agree with that
Todd, you described my experience exactly! I was so excited to find a M4 in stock. I held it, worked the action, tried to collapse the stock and just assumed there was some nuance I would learn later, and bought the gun. I hope you get more 3 position tubes in soon, and get around to posting the swap out tutorial. Thanks for all the information you share!
I swear, Benelli just does this to piss people off lol...
Do an install video on it please! It can be done, I feel it seems similar to the 7round mag tube install (at least in theory) but we need you to show us lol
some of us are very mechanically inclined, we just need direction is all
I work at a gun shop and, yes, the issue with the tube is common knowledge. At least where I work. Any gun shop worth their salt should be able to advise a customer about this if they are looking for an M4.
Agreed!
Received my package of goodies from FFT today and looking forward to some fun tomorrow making some enhancements to my M4. Thanks, Todd! Appreciate the helpful videos,
Thank you so much for this video. You saved me soooo much money. Don’t laugh at my ignorance. But here we go. I have two m4’s. One newer m1014 model with the collapsible stock and the one position tube. And an older model that I bought used with a mesa Urbino stock a long time ago. The stock was already on the gun. I never pulled it off. I’ve been wanting the collapsible stock and I decided to buy the stock to convert the older model with the urbino stock. Because of this video I decided to pull the urbino off. To my amazement, LE 3 position tube!!! So now instead of dropping 1200 on gun broker like I was about to for a collapsible stock. A stock that was going to severely disappoint me because after carefully reading the description, it did not include the tube. I instead only have to swap the pistol grip and stock from my newer model on to my older and vice versa. Just like that I have an LE m4 with working collapsible stock. And a second with the urbino. And not a dime spent! I just bought the few remaining parts I need to make these 922r compliant from your site. I owe you dinner sir. Thanks a lot!
Great video as usual. Keep it up. I agree with the comments below. It would be very helpful to have a how to install part number 70130 video. For more information go to the Benelli Forum where there are a few good threads on changing out the recoil tube.
I bought the telescoping stock assm m4 (Benelli part 70085)...should I buy the m4 or the m1014? Or is it too late? Should I have bought the 3 position stock post first?
This is an awesome channel, and I really appreciate you taking the time to address these issues/questions along with providing solutions based on our circumstances. Thanks!
I’m so happy to have you with me and thank you for positive feedback 👊🏻
To change the recoil tube, I don’t need to file any paperwork when changing it ? Or just wait for it to show up and change it and I’m good ?
Is the 1014 Limited Edition in the same boat? I know it comes with the fixed skeletonized stock. Is the only thing I need to purchase is the right extension tube and the stock it comes with will be fine?
Perfect I just bout a M1014 with the "non" collapsible stock. This will be in my needs as well.
Im from Seattle where there isn't any middle ground, just left. You do a great service on CZcams promoting your business. Thumbs up and keep up the good work.
Ken: Thanks for watching, for your comments, and your support!
i'm here too! gotta keep the fight going
The skeletoninzed stock does have an advantage in some states where a collapsible stock is illegal, like here in NY. They can sell the skeletonized here in NY to non-LE buyers but the collapsible is illegal....
Hey Todd, thanks for the videos. Could you possibly put up a tutorial video showing how to swap out the 1 position tube to the 3 position tube?
At some point, yes. Just been too busy for that video because 1) I've never done that job myself, yet, and 2) I need to do it a few times before I do the video and 3) time just won't free up for that video anytime in the near future. At some point, yes. Thanks for watching! 👊🏻
Thank you so much. I was so mad when I got home.
I bought one today and love it, until i found the stock issue however fully extended fits me like a glove. Im gonna chuck it in my mill and notch it myself, buuuuuuuuut i will order the mag tube extension tube and the spring.
Great vid and good info!
Thanks!
Great channel ! Just sub. Thank you
Thank you. Why aren't there any after market collapsable stocks? Seems odd given the high demand.
Thanks for your video, after watching it I made sure the M4 I bought had the collapsible stock...!!!
Excellent move! Glad to help 👊🏻
Where do I get an magazime extention for the Panzer M4? some.say the threads.are different?
Excellent, thank you.
You’re welcome!
Thank you so much for this I almost spent 1k because I was going to buy the collapsible stock on gun broker. Can’t wait till you guys have the recoil tube back in stock
You’re welcome! 👊🏻
Very surprising, I guess I lucked out. I just bought an H2O M4 with the standard stock (non-pistol) and I installed the collapsible stock and it all worked. I didn't even know about this.
Nice score
Thanks for the videos. I have a new M4 and I have the one piece pistol grip. Its lop is 14” which is too long for me. I want to replace with a adjustable stock. Did I here you correctly in saying it is possible I have the correct multi position recoil tube under this stock? To check, simply removing the stock would allow visual inspection to validate? If it is not the correct tube, is swapping out the tube assembly a big deal? I am very handy, so mechanical items arent usually a problem. Do you have a video on how to change that tube out? I saw a video on changing out the magazine tube and they showed heating it up quite hot to break the blue locktite free. Would this be the same or no? Thanks again!
Did you ever get an answer? I’m in the same boat. Thinking of disassembling my stock to see if I already have the adjustable tube.
I'm very new to shotguns, not firearms in general but is there a stock option "like" the M4s 3-position collapsible stock but works with the 1303 of the A300? just wondering if there is a way to do a "poor mans" Benelli M4. lol
Thanks for this video. I was driving myself crazy thinking I was doing something wrong.
you're welcome!
Where can I find a good gunsmith to change this tube on my Benelli
Thnx for the informative video. I always thought the actual collapsible were for qualifying agency's only. Now I know why when I see the non collapsible skeletonized stock in stores.. Its a question of do you need it? Looks great, but, it comes down to do you need it that bad...
Benelli can’t sell the collapsible stock with the functioning recoil tube in the USA due to 922R compliance. Same thing with the M1014 not having the full capacity magazine tube. 922r means you have to add US made parts to make it legal with the collapsing stock and full capacity tube.
Unfortunately no, they sell the h20 model with both the extended tube and collapsible stock. They’re us made parts on that version. The real reason is due to them not trusting civilians.
@@rainman2222 Exactly! That's the only real reason.
Thanks❤
This might sound off but aren’t collapsible stocks illegal on Semi Auto shotguns?
Glad my version has the 3 position tube. I paid $275 for my collapsible stock years ago. Good lord the prices are insane. Everyone is gonna have a hell of a time getting parts now that the m4 clones from turkey are everywhere. I wouldn't get the clone though because their quality is showing many lemons.
I have the real deal and clone, and it runs flawlessly I'm around 400 down the tube so far.
could a metal shop cut the notches on the tube?
I was about to buy one at cabelas, then tried to callapse the stock and was unable to.
Why do some M4s come with the 3 notch tube and others dont?
I don’t mind that mine doesn’t collapse, but how do I get it to stop wobbling? It doesn’t lock in unless I turn it sideways.
Ran into the same issue when I first picked mine up. Here's the trick:
1. While depressing the button on the stock, slide stock on tube in the 10 o’clock position.
2. Slide the stock all the way forward.
3. Rotate stock to the 2 o’clock position.
4. Pull the stock all the way rearward.
5. Rotate stock to the 12 o’clock position.
@@fn6266 Got it to lock in. Thanks for the tip. Hey what’s the softest shooting rounds you can get to cycle through your Benelli? 7/8 oz aren’t cycling at all. Having trouble with 1&1/8oz as well.
@@fn6266 thanks for this. After wading through copious amounts of info, this is exactly what I needed to learn.
Thought this was just gonna be more useless clickbait at first. Boy was I wrong! Very informative and you've saved me time and money. I'll be becoming a customer very soon
I am trading my skeletonized stock for a straight stock. When I sell the skeletonized one, am I supposed to keep the 1 position buffer tube and install a different one for the straight stock? Or do I slide the straight stock on what I have now?
I know that's poorly worded but I hope you get what I'm asking
any recoil tube works with the straight stock
@@FreedomFighterTactical thanks!!!
Installation video on this please
Thanks for that information, long time subscriber , this is the year I’m getting my M4 and I was looking at one of those skeletonize stock thinking it was collapsing stock online glad i watched this video , definitely going to order all the titanium aftermarket parts from you to keep it Legal
Todd, you are the man! The M-4 guru! Pre Chinese Flu I bought an M-4 with the skeleton stock, and watched your videos on why it would not collapse, as well as learning about the R-22 compliance laws... thanks for your information and your store, as I am also a customer! Keep up the great information videos!
Glad I was in the marine corps and knew what to look for before I bought one.
Semper Fi muhfukka !
Got lucky and had the 3 position tube under the fixed stock.
will the Benelli super nova pump collapsible stock work on the M4?
No idea. Doubt it.
So for those of us that already have the skeletonized stock but it’s fixed, is the tube all we need?
yes.
Just got my M4 delivered from KYgunco and I'm in CA and my tube is a 3 position tube with no pin. I ordered the full stock version not a "collapsible" stock version.
I have a non collapse. Do you want to trade?
I'm glad I bought one from you before they went out if stock.
Please get more in stock
I have received my M1014 version? Can the stock be changed? Because it's fixed.
You need part #70043. Hard to get. We dropped a load of them on Friday am and they were gone in about 10 seconds
@@FreedomFighterTactical thanks you!
Wait, is this saying a brand new M4, with the collapsible stock from the factory, might not have the 3-position tube?
This is why I do my research before I buy a gun. Many of the skeletonized stock versions don't take chokes and also have four gas ports instead of two. Which can help run low brass better but it also causes excess part wear and recoil with high brass.
Thank you for the clarification...misleading information in the M1014 owner manual instructs how to collapse the stock .....COME ON BENELLI !!!!
you're welcome!
I Think My Benelli Came With The 3-Position Recoil Tube?
My Tube Has The 3 Notches On Top & 4 On The Left
Good stuff as always. You might create a channel over on Rumble and migrate away from ScrewTube!!
Well you get more of these tubes in stock?
They are in stock right now.
Dose the m4 take 2 3/4 inch shell's
It does!
It’s takes a lot man. Look into it, it’s an impressive firearm.
All this info. SOOO what’s the part called so I can grab one please
Recoil tube part number 71030 and part number 70043
I’m sure that I said what it was in the video…
I say just go get the LE version or h20 version with the collapsible stock.
So I have the m1014 with the skeleton stock that I want to collapse what's the process for swapping the recoil tube? I heard it's a pain because benelli semi permanently attaches the tube to the receiver.
It is a pain. You can either try using a heat gun or finger nail polish remover or breakleen to soften the locktite . I purchased a Benelli 11707 And use the three position recoil tube on my 1014
I know it can be made to collapse and open to the one position. This will be similar to the original 1014s. Problem is if you don’t pull straight back the stock will come off. It needs to be perfectly vertical to catch the notch on the way out. It will work from fully collapsed to full length of pull tho. Still better than than a skeleton stock only.
Are these parts going to be produced again?
Noone has "stock"
We will get more. We actually had 5 yesterday but they sold out in 10 minutes.
@@FreedomFighterTactical thanks for heads up I'll keep my eyes peeled
Noticed that immediately and was not very happy about it
It amazes me that people cznt figure out why it doesn't work 2 minutes of looking its pretty obvious.
Benelli doesn't make the m4 with a collapsible stock anymore. It only comes with a pistol grip stock. Military and law enforcement are the only ones who can get collapsible stocks. You can find one of the remaining civilian m1014s with a FIXED (doesn't collapse) skeleton stock but those are in limited supply. So to reiterate my point, the m4s going forward only come with pistol grip stocks. Yeah it sucks 😑
So I bought the solid stock bc the “collapsible” stock, that they had, I was told it does not collapse it only twists to look around corners. So pay an extra 100 bucks or so for it not to collapse. No thanks.
If your not in Commietardland the gun should come with a fully adjustable stock. It's BS that they would sell the non adjustable ones in "free" states. M1014 just like I had in the Corps, oh wait, no it isn't not yet, have to spend hours converting it and hundreds of dollars for a metal tube if your even lucky enough to find one. Hey at least it has a little flag engraved on the reciever though... Thanks Benelli!
This is honestly infuriatingly pissing me off. Why the actual fuck don’t they mention this though? This really is a public service video. They need to mention this prior to the purchase. I understand why people say they were scammed. The guys behind the counter didn’t even know it couldn’t collapse lol.
This stock guarantee will run you 900-1100$ that’s what I had to pay. Was driving me nuts that ugly oem stock had to go.
I got lucky and the H20 version I bought came w the 3 position recoil tube.
@@9free077
The model 11707 also come with the 3 position recoil tube
I love you LOL
Jesus.... overkill on reiterating info. Otherwise great video.
I get it - it's tiring to me, too. But the reiterating is to help people out. I used to listen to Rush Limbaugh - still devastated that's he's gone - but if you listened to the commercials during his program, you'd hear, in one commercial, over and over and over again, a phone number. This is partly due to giving people a chance to write it down. But it was also to make the number memorable, to make it easy, etc. That's all I'm trying to do. Some people have a real hard time with figuring all this out, and I'm trying to help them have a chance. That's all. Have a great weekend, and thanks for watching.
The c-stock is straight trash. Fully collapsed you can't see down the sights, fully extended it's way too long. Middle position is near impossible to find. And why the f-ck do I need to rotate the stock to move it? It's just a terrible product and ridiculously over-priced.
