- Shoutouts to VesperArcade, he made a great handcam series if you want some pointers doing these trials: • Street Fighter 3 Third...
Today we are beginning our next combo trial challenge: Street Fighter 3: 3rd strike! This is the Online Edition port, released for ps3 and 360 in 2011. These combos are REALLY hard, let's see how far I can get with Akuma, Alex, Chun Li and Dudley!

Alex trials be like "check out this corner-only precise-spacing 1 and a half bar combo. Btw it does like as much damage as other character's meterless bnbs."
Grappler character combos are a plague on humankind
@@CherryDKaya me a honda player: I will never live this down.
(I also fuck with sakura heavy.)
They could have added some flying cross chop corner sweet stuff XD
I love the cat shaking it's head in sychronisation with Dudley's theme....lol...it is adorable and funny as hell...🤣
catJAM
Lol I can’t stop watching it 🐱
Cat has good taste 🤣
Okay, I would NEVER have guessed how to complete Chun's trial number 5
These little niche things are soooo cool. Learning something new about older games is such a treat.
It amazes me how people learned these things without training mode and probably with spending a fair
amount of money.
I use to play 3s cooperatively when I was younger and use to keep up with all the tech. Competitive players that still play on fightcade are insane though. Everyone is basically pyrolee now.

Two Things about the Akuma Trials
1: Since Far HK back turns you can combo into demon (To combo into grab your opponent has to be turned around! ex: see Alex)
2. KKZ Super (The giant blast one) is *unparriable* on the first hit (which is also the strongest single hit in the game), so it might as well be a true combo
3:20 Just clarifying, the KKZ super of Akuma is unparriable and it's unblockable on the air so even though the jab resets, it is conceptually a combo cause you just can't escape. Edit: Hearted uh? Isn't that outside my range?
The first part of the super is unparriable but the rest is
@@coolswag4612 While that is true, in this context you are gonna eat it with some potato fries, most of the damage on KKK is on the first, unparriable, hit.
When you edit you lose heart :(
Bro edit again, it's KKZ not KKK LOL
KKK lol
You should add a timer to the stream so we youtube folks can see how long it took unedited!
Well done, JM! Never played 3rd Strike but love the content nonetheless
We lit the MVC3 trails were amazing so Ik this one is gonna b insane
Dudley's theme is a BANGER, whats up with street fighter have so many fire tracks man geez
I legit just like to sit and chill and watch your videos on youtube while I work. I see your steam schedule. It's perfect for me to watch while I work. Thanks for the awesome FGC content!
This was crazy I grew up playing this and always wondered “why do my combos looked different than his” after getting free’d up
Eyyyy more 3s content! This is my favourite game dude, ya love to see it ❤️
Hardest combos in SF3 are Yun FP Loop, Yun Kara palm loops, Makoto double Fukiage on Chun, and Akuma triple tatsu.
Chun double Fukiage wasn't found until like 2013.
Many of these aren't easy combos but those above are ridiculous
Remy and Urien have some tricky combos as well
No Makoto 0-death combos?
Hm. Okay.
Fp loop only works on crouching opponents no?
urien’s ttth (or even tttt) off of launcher in the corner should probably make this list, especially on certain characters such as twins.
Good video as always Jmcroft.
I love watching JM have a good fkn time. Makes my day when I hear the “let’s goooooo”
Its great to see this series again
„Charge moves are your friend“
Somewhere in the distance you can hear LTG scream.
You should totally do the lua trials for 3s they're really sick!!!
i was about to comment this, these are some hard trials!
Nice. Good to point out there are much more difficult combos than what the game asks you to do, but it's a good start.
I would like to see you play more kof 2002um matches JM. Keep up the great content...
Thanks for the sick vid
Love videos like this! :)
Love your vids! Been a fan for awhile now. I’m an advance tekken player. I can read frames no problem. However, I always wanted to get into SF and I can do the basic combo like jump fierce punch low kick and a quarter circle that type of combo right? But I can never for the love of god can ever read the frames on SF. Any tips please? 😁 thanks dude keep up the good work!
That last dudley combo is what made me give up trying to finish. I branched off and started doing my own dudley combos as chaining the multi punch is to inconsistent for me but a nice random mixup in my style. Its funny cause you can feel combos out as you beome familiat with the game/character I love SF3.
Best game ever made
If you could get a camera setup for your joystick whilst doing these would be dope. Great content btw.
Hope you post all of them! Cheers Jm
That end title is pure class
It’s so great how they have Alex and Hugo start the round posing like Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant 🔥
Cannot wait to see if Remy/Urien has some charge partitioning stuff.
Please do a part 2-3 of this! So sick
Subbed to get working toward the 2nd cam. Great Content man, might have to finally dip my toes into fighting games
cool ass video, loved this
This gone be good 😁😁
Knowing that daigo parried every attack in the chun li combo is fucking wild
Dudley combos in this game are beyond gross. FIVE consecutive low roundhouses? If someone did that to me IRL I would let them have my quarter lol
The cat at the end is a bop
Ah... Dudley's 3rd strike theme... very on point!
Seeing how jank and impractical these combos are really shows why single hit confirms into super rule this game lol
I remember giving up on the evo moment trail
You ended the video right on my SF3 main. Pain
You should organize a 3rd strike tournament, third strike is just too good.
Hell yea trials are back
I've got 3S on switch, the SF arcade thing. Might need to try these Gouki combos
pro tip use an Arcade stick, it would be very hard to do any 3rd Strike Combos on a regular Joy con or procontroller
I love Dudley. Such a kl character
The loudest, most grateful shoutouts to Lord fLoE for designing the combo trials for 3S:OE
I'd like to see u do Urien Makoto Yun Yang Hugo and Elena combos.
I need the ending video, with the catjam
Will we see the second half anytime soon? Or maybf you haven't streamed it yet
Please could I get advice on how to do combos in SF3? I have the 30th Anniversary version and I can beat the AI but I'm not becoming any more familiar with the combos. Any advice would help. Thanks
Would like to see Elena, Ibuki and Remi but man 3rd Strike is just a masterpiece of a game I believe.
Aw I wanted to see all of them.
I wish the anniversary collection had combos challenges
There Is one combo I LOVE to do as Urien. It Is a corner only combo that goes:
Diagonal Heavy kick
Down fierce punch (charge chariot)
Medium chariot tackle
Standing fierce punch (The CHOP)
It's not much but it Is very fun
is there a way to have this or something equivalent (any 3rd strike trials) on PC?
My favourite game of all time.
i love you jmcrofts
@4:43 my man's talm bout that charge partitioning high tier break your wrists and give you arthritis in the long run kind of stuff
when is part 2?
also the hidden Combo Trail for Hugo is to do a Tachi Gigas super
I couldn't even dream of pulling any of these off 😧
Correction: the KKZ *can* be blocked. The 1st hit however *cannot be parried.*
Can't be blocked in that situation tho, he's airborne
And since you can't parry it neither it's basically a combo
@@AmeriKameVictor "I Can't Believe It's Not A Combo!"
Does this game have you do Yun's Daipan Loop?
Waiting for that unist combo challenge
Where cam I download street fighter 3 3rd stike online edition? I can't find it!
Do Makoto's Double Fukiage on Chun-Li, it's probably the hardest combo in the game
its that 100% stun combo, right? ah, i remember trying to land it first time, took me like 3 hours just to get used to kara fukiage and then a couple of hours to land the combo, but i got pretty consistent with it over time, you need a lot of muscle memory for that, very strict timings plus that kara fuki
I always struggled getting Yangs roll super to combo back into itself. To the point I didn't even try in tournament.
Attempting THE HARDEST COMBOS! (So basically every single one of them in my case.)
To be fair tho, at least SFV trials have demos. But I'm still struggle a lot with combos. The struggles of a beginner.
It's how it is for mostly everyone when they get into this stuff, combos that used to take me a ton of practice I can do in just a couple attempts now, you will definitely get better with time. Learn to love practice mode and it all becomes so much easier imo.
@@Section8dc I love street fighter v's trial mode, while I'm not 100% consistent, I can land a few combos here and there. Nothing too fancy, mostly one or two attacks followed by H.Shoryuken canceled into super.
@@costelinha1867 yah SFV is a perfect place to start, or MK as well, both have fairly easy combos overall compared to other games but still challenging enough to help get you better at fighting games. I like to just put on a movie on my phone and just practice whatever I'm trying to learn while I watch the movie, its very relaxing
@@Section8dc I sometimes like playing "How many dragon punches I can do in a row" While waiting for casual matches,
also I have both SFV on ps plus (Which sadly means no dlc characters but still good game) and MKXL
I played street fighter 2 turbo and i only got two to three fights in. I need so much practice with street fight so i got the 30th edition. I'm going to try some of the combos just to see if I can pull it off. (Yes i suck at street fighter, Tekken is more my thing so pray for me)
Interesting fact for those not in the know, Kkz or the down x3 punch super is actually the only move you can’t parry, making that lk tatsu jab reset into kkz a true combo
also the first hit of gill's seraphic wing
@@memejohn86 Yeah but when is someone gonna fight a gill bro
Don’t know if anyone said this but this is on switch, in a bundle pack. One of the best 20 bucks for a switch game.
What is the fighting stick you're using?
LOL YOU JUST HAD TO HAVE THE CAT SYCHRONIZE PERFECTLY WITH DUDLEY'S THEME DIDN'T YOU CROFTS!!
You should try crystal_cube's fightcade Lua for trials! It's really cool and relies on sick game knowledge to finish the trials
Should have done Twelve's. He has some of the most difficult combos in the game.
Quick observation on SFV does Abigail say white power?
I’m good with out seeing what you did with your hands
what configs u use to play with both characters?
I'd love to see Remy, Yang and Urien.
Let's fight like gentlemen
I actually wanted to watch them all
how did you cancel chunli #5 into super????
You weren't kidding about popular supers. I literally can't name all of Chun's supers. There's the Super #2 from EVO Moment 37. Then...I'm assuming a giant fireball? Is the other one...something vetical?
Jab
Strong
Fierce
Short
Forward
Roundhouse
The vocabulary of my childhood.
came for the combos, stayed for the catJAM
I hope you get back to persona 4 arena trials I really wanted to see more of those
I wish this was on switch this is the game I'd be willing to learn these combos for.
But I dont play on my ps4 as much anymore.
Best sf3 edition so far.
3:19 actually, that's not it. That super is blockable, but unparriable. In third strike, when you air reset opponents, they become invulnerable to anything except supers until they touch the ground, meaning that if you reset into a super, they have to air parry to survive, but that aint an option with KKZ. That makes this combo a true reset
Just to clarify for any passers-by, only the lightning strike (close first hit) is impossible to parry. That's what makes this work!
@@VMP_MBD oh yeah forgot to clarify that. Your only option to "true parry" KKZ is to block the first hit, red parry the second and pray that you parry the rest
Floe came up with these trials right?
3:44 I didn't know Alex had a unique intro with Hugo in 3rd Strike. That is so awesome! I love how they stand chest to chest and stare each other down. You see guys, tiddie streamers aren't the only ones puffing out their chests.
Its a reference to Hulk Hogan and André the giant, which is the inspiration for alex and hugo respectively. They had a wrestling match where they looked eachother down like that.
Yeah, the famous Wrestlemania match between Hulk and Andre. Ah... Professional wrestling in it's hay day. Excellent stuff.
havent watched yet, but heres hoping tominagas combo is here.
Ok I just saw you do the KKZ combo, its actually not a reset, its 100 percent guaranteed because you can't air block, only air parry, and the first hit of KKZ is unparryable
Street Fighter 3 isn't available on newer consoles?
Baf had one of these with some crazier combos you should look them up
Bro i would never be able to do any combos. The last fighting game i played was Marvel Superheroes on PS2. I don't recall doing combos on that😕
pt.2 when?!
On mcv2 how do u use training mode
download the dreamcast rom
For fightcade?
@@1sm41lll6 Yes
Things cancel into raging demon that wouldn't normally cancel
You can cancel sweep on hit
Do Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha (and EX2 Plus)
I think this game have the best looking Chun-li!
You have no dignity
-Dudley
Now the the trials Lua for fb alpha. I swear half of them are near impossible....
