Exceptional striking skills by Blencowe minus the defense. As Bencowe moves up in competition better strikers may cause unnecessary punishment if the face isn't protected better (head movement, hands, etc). Definitely one of the best jabs in women's MMA that I've seen so far.

Please remember the big fight 5 minutes go for 5 rounds. a bit more heavy bag work, and pound those punches in with plenty of power and regularity. Get those lungs of yours in top condition. You bang hard enough you may well keep both Cyborg and Julia Budd out of your space. As for Cat Zingano, she loves it rough and tough and has the capacity to do serious damage to an opponent. Cyborg dominated Leslie and Arlene is not so the biggest difference is cyborg seemed to be stronger and faster than Leslie so if she is having this much trouble with Leslie it’s not hard to believe that cyborg will win. Maybe not flawless but a win nevertheless

Big John is a big dud when it comes to scoring rounds. That first round was clearly Arlene.
Lmao he helped write the judging criteria. But yeah Bruce on youtube knows more about judging fights then him.
Agree - he thinks holding against the cage scored more in the first round than crisp boxing - everyone has a bad day though - he's usually good

It's funny how big John McCarthy judges these fights better than official judges even though his main focus is on commentating. I don't how those judges could give all 3 rounds to Arlene.
He judged that first round terribly and 3 out of 3 judges disagreed with him
@@MOO67204 John McCarthy himself wrote the damn rules. Those judges are often old boxing judges who don't even care about mma and don't know what they are looking at. It's not about what the majority thinks, it's about who gets it right. I guess by your logic you also agree with everything the majority of your city, people or government decides.
I think Blencowe won all three rounds and judges saw it that way too. It was close but she did enough to win all 3.

Start using former fighters to judge MMA matches please, these judges screw up way too regularly.

@@MOO67204 John McCarthy had them going into the 3rd round at 1-1. Blencowe clearly won the 1st , Smith clearly won the 2nd. The 3rd round was extremely close.
I'm not debating whether or not Blencowe deserved to win. I'm saying there is no way that should have been scored 30-27 by all 3 judges.
It should have been a 29-28 victory for the winner.
30-27 means that all 3 judges thought Blencowe dominated all 3 rounds and that simply isn't the case
