Bruh y’all gotta overturn this fight to a NC after the illegal knees to the back of the head as “finishing shots” and how the entire fight was changed from an illegal grasping and pushing off the fence that gave one person such an advantage they were able to go from being in a rear naked choke to all of the sudden be on top passing guard landing damage.
If Coker doesn’t turn this to a NC, this just looks so fixed with this being a hometown fight for the cheater to promote him into a title shot. So much so that referee and rules expertise Fat John said nothing about the fence grab and push off playing a factor in completely changing the momentum of the fight, but made sure to let everyone know James is a heavyweight title contender fighting in front of his home crowd.

This was a fuckin banger. I applauded Daniel James getting out of that choke and recovering from that nut shot. Love seeing a heavyweight with solid striking and takedown defense and offense. BIG BOYS, LET'S GOOOO!

cant believe this wasnt overturned as a NC or even a disqualification of James and giving Fortune the win....these are the most illegal elbows i have ever seen in a fight and they are the ones that finished it .... what a scam mma is
Not to mention the whole “turn of momentum of the fight” moment coming from a full grasp and push off of the cage to completely reverse a position from in danger to passing the guard and landing damage. Embarrassment.
The only reason he got out of that choke is because he grabbed the fence, he aint a fighter. Them elbow strikes in the end was arguably illegal strikes. Good on Tyrell keeping his cool.

1000% not to mention Tyrell telling the ref he’s grabbing inside the glove, Jones saying “nah” while continuing to do so, and the referee saying and doing nothing.
Mauro as someone who’s never been inside the cage pointed out ALL THREE BLATANT INFRACTIONS, while Big John McCarthy who’s only hired to color commentate because of his rules expertise and referee experience, doesn’t mention any of the 3 violations while trying to be Joe Rogan as someone who’s never fought professionally overreacting to telling us how James going from having his back taken to passing guard to drop hammers which ended up changing the entire complexion of the fight, ALL WHILE FAILING TO REALIZE THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY HUMANLY POSSIBLE FOR JAMES TO REVERSE THAT POSITION INTO SUCH A FAVORABLE SWEEP WHICH IS BY GRASPING THEN PUSHING OFF AND UP ON THE FENCE!!
Embarrassing all around by everyone but Mauro and everything Tyrell did outside of hiring and listening to whatever boxing coach he has sending him in there with that kind of overextension on his punches as a powerful quick twitch athlete that doesn’t need wound up looping punches ESPECIALLY with opponents thinking so much about his wrestling ability.

I was in the building for this one! only MMA event I've gotten to go to so far, and this fight made the night. The whole city was behind him and it's by far the craziest submission escape I've ever seen.
Because it was illegal submission escape due to using the fence/cage to grasp and push off of in order to improve position not only to defend the submission but to completely change the momentum of the fight having him end up passing guard landing damage.
Putting him in front of his hometown fans where the referee didn’t say a word after Tyrell said he’s pulling the inside of my gloves, just for James to say nuh-uh and keep doing it, just shows you how fixed this was for James. Typical Coker fix move.

@Turner Young That too, but Daniel looked to push up on the nose and face of his opponent as Commander Dale has shown on videos. He talks about it, and credits tose DUST videos, in interviews as well as on our podcast. It's pretty cool! Daniel is one hell of a guy, and can't WAIT to see him back in there on this quick turnaround, and then DEMAND his title shot!!!
