someone please tell the commentators there's no such thing as a 10-8 round for dominating the round an extra point is awarded for a knockdown

What you missed that the judge didnt was, the submission attempt and take down before the end of the round showing the judge if it went longer she would have been on top right?
There appeared to be an amazing lack of a sense of urgency to win the fight in the 3rd by Budd and was lucky the judges gave it to her.

It has to be because of the takedowns. Otherwise, Blencowe was definitely better.
Don’t let the announcers for this influence what you’re seeing. I’m a bit baffled why they had this weird bias against Budd. This was a pretty easy fight to score. 1st round is easily Julia Budd, the most significant strike landed is a 2 off a faint jab in the middle of the ring by Julia Budd. Blencowe strikes are pretty much blocked by Budd some low kicks get through but nothing significant and she gets taken down to end the round. Round 1 easily Julia Budd. Round 2 again very easy to call. Budd saw her advantage was on the ground went for it early and controlled most of the round could’ve been a 10-8 but hey if you want to see it 10-9 sure. 3rd round was a touch more even maybe 🤷🏾♂️. Budd has a bad habit of putting her back to the cage kinda T. Wood. It doesn’t mean she’s losing the round though but doesn’t look great to the judges. 3rd round does have some back and forth on the feet but Budd gets her down pretty easily again and goes for a arm triangle choke. Get’s a little close on it but actually holds the choke too long instead of just taking the back and trying for a rear naked. Blencowe does get up to her credit, she lands some leg kicks but nothing really telling. She does get Budd against the fence but just gets taken down again by the end of the round. So that’s Round 1 -Budd (most of the strikes by Blencowe are really blocked by Budd which shows better ring generalship to me plus Budd gets a dominant take down to end the round). Round 2 - Budd ( This round could’ve easily been a 10-8, Budd got in on a single early in the Round and controls Blencowe for the rest of the round). Round 3 - Budd ( maybe there could be some argument for Blencowe being busier but once again Budd gets her down, she goes for a sub early but misses and ends up letting Blencowe get up but Blencowe really doesn’t do anything but some some leg kicks. Blencowe does get Budd against the fence for a bit but just gets taken down again). Pretty easy win for Budd. I’m not really sure what made these announcers go against Budd but was a pretty easy fight to call

Decision is completely biased. It should be a draw.
Good dancing school moves. For every second they delay fighting it makes them look rediculous. When I boxed many many years ago my navy instructor insisted we move in and strike, not dance around for position. I can see why many are tired of mma rules and ideas. Either fight or go home?

What the referee did at 4 : 39 of the third round was wrong in my mind. Telling the women " Come on girls, Let's get busy " Trying to dictate the pace of the fight. I'm 100% against that and I think that is totally wrong when ever a boxing or MMA ref does that. If that's the fighters strategy then so be it. The Ref should not interfere and become a factor in that. That's really not his job. His job is to protect the fighters and enforce the rules, not tell them when to fight. Don't get me wrong, I like to see an action packed fight Like the next person but if the fight turns out not to be exciting then tough luck. It was an action packed fight anyway through out . To be fair to the ref he may be underpresher to do that from the organization but it's wrong.

Blencowe was robbed in that.
My score was 29 - 28 in favor of Julia budd but some of the scores were way off. I might understand a 10 - 10 score for one of rounds but a 10 - 8 round scored I can't see. I also don't see it a 30 - 27 score ether as I had Julia clearly losing the last round. I think they gave the win to the right woman though. I had Julie winning the first and second round and had Arlene winning the third round easily.

I thought the commentators were a little too rough on Budd, although it is true that she could have done better or been more aggressive. I think the judges were right though.

Yep! I said on another video comment thread she's got the dirtiest feet in WMMA..If you go check out some of her other matches you will see the same thing. I have a feeling she just doesn't wear shoes or sandals/flip flops before matches.
