I know i was also star strucked by her beauty and voice.
Oh, dear, she is still very much around :) She is an absolute master at pronouncing words, showing her emotions through her music, and she had absolute control over her voice, her dedication to music and her fans is just something else. Many people say her music is cheesy, well, everyone his or her own opinion, but I think that cheesiness is not a weakness, but a huge strenght.
When you stopped and said "it's kind of emotional", I thought ... you ain't seen nothin yet!

yeah that is what Lara does, touching you deep inside. no need to compare her to dimash, she has her own unique style, she knows how to sing with her whole heart and soul. I have to jump in, sorry for that. This song have a bit of history, written in the 70´s by Serge Lama, who gave it (with the tools at that time!) all it’s meaning.

Lara Fabian is a singer songwriter and sings many of her own songs as well as some classical covers. This is one of her own songs. Dimash sings some of her songs too, he rates her very highly and you can hear influences from her in his own performances (Adagio and Mademoiselle Hyde come to mind). You should probably watch their performances of both of those songs. Different...but both of them are absolutely stunning.

Fabian’s parents recognized her talents early on and enrolled her in the Royal Conservatory of Brussels when she was eight years old. This is an old song and others did sing it before. But she lifted to a level, I don't know who can reach it. I think nobody will even try.
Lara has been singing for many years and has many fans all over the world, except the USA where almost everything that is not American is considered garbage and is not just her case. Lara had an attempt to perform in the USA but those in Celine Dion's team did everything they could to block her. And they succeeded. Lara speaks fluent French, English, Italian, Spanish, Belgian, if I'm not mistaken she also speaks German and obviously has songs and sings in all these languages. She is also a composer, having enough pieces written by her. As for the relationship with Dimash, she was a model, an example for him but from my point of view, without minimizing his vocal qualities, if you compare the two with the world of cars. Dimash is a luxurious, high-performance car but full of bling bling. Lara is a Rolls Royce.
What do you mean by Belgian ? She was educated in Brussels, that means she speaks French. The nothern part of Belgique speaks " flamand " ( a sort of netherlandish language, she doesn't speak) . Because she lived her first six years in Italy with her mother ( italian), then back to the french speaking part of Belgique. Belgian doesn't exist.

Dimash listed Lara Fabian as one of his musical influencer over the years. There is a short video clip when they first met in person a few years ago and Dimash looks like a starry eyed 6 year old, totally beside himself to be standing next to her. He says in the video that he dreamed of this moment since he was (gesture) this high.

Lara worked a lot in the past with Igor Krutoy, as does Dimash today. This performance of Ti Amo Cosi (a Krutoy song) is together with Aida Garifullina (a trio) at the 65th birthday concert of Igor Krutoy in November 2019. Lara wrote the lyrics for Your Love for Dimash (another Krutoy masterpiece).

I really appreciate your insights. Your observation of her ability to tap into those emotions with your own experiences knowing just how difficult it is is something I haven't heard people say. At least not quite that way. And it's easy for many of us to have that thought, "Oh that must be hard" like a Monday morning quarterback but to hear you, someone who has years of experience trying to do just that, recognizing in her that ability conveys that little extra weight.

Hi Lukas. Lovely to have you back. Yes Lara is still alive and she recently turned 50. Dimash is a great fan of hers and he sang her version of Adagio on the Singer competition in China. Lara has worked with Igor Krutoy and sang his compositions. She sang The love of tired Swans in Russian and in French too more than 10 years before Dimash did and she also sang Know vocalise as Dimash did. She wrote the lyrics and Igor wrote the music for the song Your love for Dimash in 2020. They also sang together and with Zarina Garifullina Ti amo cosi. Beautiful trio. You can definitely see and hear the influence she's had on Dimash as an artist.

I've heard of Lara Fabian for years but never listened because I thought her music was not for me. I was so wrong! Yes I Discovered Lara because of Dimash. He has covered many of her songs like Adagio, Madimoselle Hyde, Know/Know Vocalise. Lara has collaborated a lot with Igor Krutoy, she also wrote lyrics for Dimash.

Lara Fabian was Igor Krutoy's Muse and He wrote for and with her - Adagio, Love of Tired Swans, Know, Mademoiselle Hyde. Those are songs that Krutoy gifted to Dimash at the beginning of their collaboration... Dimash is now Krutoy's Muse and both He and Lara collaborated to write Your Love for Dimash- she wrote the lyrics, called Krutoy up and told him how the music should be like, so Krutoy composed the music, and Dimash and Erlan -His music arranger -arranged it with Krutoy! If you remember the performance of Dimash, Aida Garifullina , and Lara Fabian of Tiamo Cosi, that was his and Lara's first time performing together, and a fulfillment of Dimash's childhood dream!She is amazing!!! I don't know if you meant the music but she wrote the lyrics of all the songs Krutoy composed for her and Adagio was made by Lara and Rick Allison (+Albinoni of course), it was on her first english album

Loved your reactions for a long time. This was great. Welcome to Lara's world...she is the deep end of the pool. The best singer\songwriter\performer of the last 30 years. FYI - Always choose live with Lara...it needs to said. "Malade" is a practically the French national anthem. No one does it better. "Broken Vow" (English - she wrote it) is going to ruin your day. "Perdere L’amore" is a powerhouse Italian classic - a masterclass level of song and performance, in perfect Italian, that you will not be able to get out of your head (effortless perfection). "Mademoiselle Hyde" (English, tho she does another version in Russian) is written by Lara and Igor Krutoy the maestro, is, lets say, a slightly more mature version of Lara slaying a beautiful, intriguing, kind of sexy weird song with an almost Arabic feel...killer Lara. "Caruso", another great Italian classic, is flawless and my favorite version of the song ever done including Pavarotti (and that is really saying something). Just her and a piano and she crushes it. Her biggets hit, "Adagio", a must see as are all of the titles I have mentioned and many more, has been covered by everyone including the great Dimash, but Lara is the queen and no one does it better (It is a hundreds of years old classical song she wrote words to and resurrected. "Je T'aime" (I Love you) is written by Lara and now a French standard that everyone knows by heart. More on that at the bottom.

Lara Fabian is an idol of Dimash, so it's only natural he asked her to sing with him. He also invited Russian soprano Aida Gaifullina to sing with both of them. The result is Ti Amo Cosi. I think it was done in 2019 and it's spectacular. You'll find it on CZcams. It's just beautiful. I enjoy your going back to hear more of the song. I sometimes do that. Thanks for a beautiful time. I think it would be more correct to say that Igor invited his lingtime collaborator, Lara Fabian, who had already sung Ti Amo Cosi many times, to celebrate his birthday by singing it again, among songs from the album they cowrote, as well a to perform a sweet duet with him. Igor also asked the extremely accomplished Aida to come partake. And Igor asked the up-and-coming Dimash to be a part of it all.as well. Alongside world renowned skating champions, and famous vocalists like Andrea Bocelli.
