  • Mt. Tachibana is just a short bus ride from the Tenjin area of Fukuoka City. Its relatively easy accessibility, moderate difficulty, and great views make it a wonderful place to climb for locals and visitors alike! Join me on this solo hiking adventure!

Great background music, you put me there on the trail. I can see the hard work you do to produce great vids...you made me hungry eating that rice cake (yummy fer the tummy). I will always be a subscriber and look forward to viewing your vids. bravo!

Thank you for the inspiration! Last year I went to Nakasendo trail after watching your video and reading a blog post - and it is one of the brightest memories now for me. Thanks again!
This year I go to Osaka and Kyoto in the end of May, and will appreciate recommendations for nice easy hikes my son - 6 yo can do ::)

I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! Walking the Nakasendo is one of my favorite memories as well.
I haven't done as many hikes in Kyoto / Osaka, but one that I really enjoyed was in the Kibune area near Kuramadera Temple (maps.app.goo.gl/nqmTjo8zxGEm513r9). I took a bus to the area, walked in the mountains to the temple and over to Kibune which is an area known for dining over a flowing river. After, I walked back to the bus stop which took me back to Kyoto.

We’ve been to Japan 18 times and heading there again in late May. We’ve never made it to Kyushu yet. Yeah I know it’s embarrassing.. so finally considering going there this time. You have a number of good videos that are great for inspirations on what/where to do/go.

I hope you come to Kyushu and enjoy! There is a lot to explore in the region from food to outdoors to crafts. If you would like some inspiration for your travels, here are some articles I've written about Kyushu. www.marisaroundtheworld.com/kyushu/

I enjoy a much longer more detailed video about your hike. I think if you uses this style of this video as your b-roll for a long video, it would be nice!
