I absolutely love Fukuoka. It has some amazing beaches. Amazing food. After Tokyo it’s my favourite place to visit
I totally agree! The water was so nice, super warm all the way into November too!
Thanks for making this. I love Fukuoka, and have seen lots of vlogs, but none of them captured the city quite like yours did. Nice job :) I also enjoyed your general style and narration. Very engaging!
What kind words! Thank you so much 😁 Fukuoka is such a cool spot, I hope to visit again someday
Totally agree, I cant wait to visit Fukuoka this year. Thank you for sharing your video!
Thank you for watching!! I hope you have an incredible time in Fukuoka :)
Your journey is so beautiful! I can't wait for the next part of it!!
Thank you so much!! I just got back from another Japan trip so I'll be editing those videos soon :)
Fukuoka looks so prestigious and Jessica you always make the ocean and beach look so inviting. I’m intrigued by Japanese history and customs so thank you for your beautiful expose’. ❤😊
Thank you for watching! Japanese history is absolutely amazing, I learn new things all the time that blow my mind
You’re really out here living your best life aren’t you 😂 I’ve always wanted to go here so thanks for this tour 🙏🙏
I'm pretty sure you can take the ferry from Busan!! But maybe flying is more convenient lol. You'd love it here though so definitely visit!
Lovely video! I was considering Fukuoka as one of the stops for my next trip to Japan and your video convinced me that’s worth to go there! Generally I’m looking for locations off the beaten path for my next trip. Happy for recommendations and thanks for the video! 🙏 😊
Yeah it’s not as popular as Tokyo, Osaka, or Kyoto but still such a cool place to visit! I hope you have a great time there!!
This is such a chill and relaxing vid! I'm going to Japan for the first time in Oct but never thought of checking out Fukuoka. After watching your vid I might just plan a quick 2-3 day stop over there instead! Also, I can't help but feel like someone here has a sweet tooth with all the ice cream/dessert/snack recs haha - love it though, keep up the vids!
Thank you! And you definitely should check out Fukuoka, there’s so many things to do!! And yes I’m a snack queen haha it’s hard not to be when all the snacks in Japan are so tasty
Incredible. Loved seeing your products and enjoyed your narrative. I want to go to Fukuoka! Wonderful.
Glad you enjoyed it! I hope you get to visit some day, it's such a cool place :)
Hiya Jessica, lovely video about Fukuoka! I lived in Fukuoka for a couple of years so this brings back memories, I loved chilling at Futamigaura beach, hiking in Itoshima, and running in Ohori Park^^ Looking forward to more of such gems from you!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! Fukuoka is such a fun place, that's so cool you lived there!
Astonishing! Hey friend, big thanks for sharing that video! Watched it all, completely mesmerized! Subscribed to your channel as well!
🥹🥹 reading that made me so happy :) thank you for the support!!
So many nice spot to visit in Japan :)
So true! Always so many fun things and places to explore
So lovely! :O
Thank you!! :)
Thank you for sharing. Fukuoka is on my list. Especially want to try the street vendors there (Yatai)
You should! The food smelled sooo so good, I wish I had more time to try them all
Lovee your videoss!! Where do you get your swimsuits from??
Which ones? I loooove PQ for swimming and tanning, the fabric is super nice, but sometimes I'll wear cheaper brands for surfing since the salt water and wetsuits seem to wear them out quickly. I also have a 25% off code you can use for PQ!! PQLOVESJESSICA25 hopefully this link works, it's through rakuten click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=BXWo0EBQkpY&offerid=1529566.4&bids=1529566.4&type=3&subid=0
Best? U kidding? Barely scratched the surface love lol.
Nice vid though.
Hahahah your youtube handle! Love it
Hello! May I know what month you went to the beaches? I’ll be going to Fukuoka next week and i’m not sure if we’ll be allowed to swim. Also, are there shower rooms around the beaches?
I was there first week of November and there wasn't anyone swimming! No one stopped me from going in the ocean, but just be careful of strong currents. The water temperature now looks pretty comfortable for a swim when I looked at some surf reports.
Some beaches have showers but I'm not sure they're running when swimming season is "closed". Typically swimming season in Japan is from July to August (where all the beach huts and food kiosks are up) but some places are a bit longer, if a beach or some destination or beach gear rental shop has a website, they'll usually have "swimming season" listed. I hope that helped!
14:32 I often go there on my morning walks.
It's so peaceful! Where does it connect to? I wasn't quite sure so I turned around a bit after the amusement park
@@JessicaMiyukiArt If you turn left on this road, it will lead you to Kamado (Demon slayer)Shrine. If you turn right it will lead you to the back of the Kyushu National Museum. However, Kamado Shrine is far away.
I only see cold water cold water cold water 🥶 , you’re so beautiful btw ❤️.
The water was at least 77F (25C) that day! Maybe warmer. I’m used to California water where it’s barely 60F
@@JessicaMiyukiArt 25 it’s pretty decent, you’ll like New Zealand then , even in summer the water is pretty cold , everything is beautiful and blue and clear but … cold 🥶.

How were able to book a room with APA? I think we tried to book to an APA hotel once but I believe it was requiring us to input citizen information or something... Can foreigners book a room with APA hotels?
Oh really? I don’t remember how I booked it but I’m assuming either through their site or maybe Agoda. I’ve seen foreigners there pretty often so they can definitely book. If you still have issues, try Route Inn hotels, they’re pretty similar to APA with their amenities and locations close to train stations, sometimes a bit cheaper too! I booked Route Inn hotels with Agoda
What camera do you use? : )
I used my iphone (15 pro) and my GoPro Hero 10!
Ice cream, oden, bikini, scenery, eye lash, cutey, chawan-mushi. Welcome back to CA.
I can't get enough of Japanese ice cream! 🍦😋
Korea and the whole Eurasia continent is not far away from Fukuoka. The hazy hills seen on the ferry trip might already be in Korea.
The ferry from Fukuoka to Busan takes almost 4 hours! The ferry I was taking was within the Bay Area where Hakata port is, so those hills are part of Itoshima
Hi, just came across your video. I live in one of those places. Did you really have fun here in Fukuoka?🤔I'm curious because here is nothing special compared to Tokyo, Osaka etc...
I did! Maybe I have a different perspective since I grew up in Kawasaki. I liked how clean the ocean water was and the beaches were very pretty. Shonan water can be very brown and not clear, and the sand is also very dark and sometimes sticky. My favorite ramen style is also tonkotsu and I like how the food in Fukuoka was different, I like trying food from all different regions in Japan. I think I prefer the trains in Kanagawa/Tokyo area since they are more convenient, but I am thinking about moving to Fukuoka one day, I just want to see peak summer season since I love to surf!
@@JessicaMiyukiArt Oh you grew up in Kawasaki. I used to live in Tokyo. Indeed I didn't like Shonan beach either. Here the beaches are clean so that snorkeling and scuba diving are nice but the waves are small typically. I used to surf here before. Fukuoka is a great place to live, not for sightseeing at least.
@@JessicaMiyukiArt P.S there are no waves during summer. It's so calm. Lol.
Typhoon season which is around September and October brings nice swells. Other than that, during winter season is better for surfing.
@@mokumiki9916 Ohhh maybe I just missed it, I was there first week of November and it was really calm everywhere. But the water was so warm! I live in California now and I usually wear a wetsuit for most of the year, maybe a couple months with a springsuit
@@JessicaMiyukiArt I’ve heard of that. Even summer the water is cold there. I’ve been to Hawaii for surfing but never been to the main land in the US😅
their beaches are amazing feel sad that locals couldnt enjoy as you but i guess japanese working culture were drawn to be working hard and hardly have time to enjoy these free stuff that nature gives ya
I also think that after "swimming season" ends, people are worried about jellyfish, rough seas, and cooler water temps. Not that it's always the case, but many people are used to thinking this way (at least when I grew up in Japan)
so you're famous and have your own brand? that's so cool, you dont need to be working as a slave like me 🤯🤯
haha I'm not famous but I do have my own brand! Still gotta work hard but I set my own hours so I'm lucky to be able to travel :)
No trip to Fukuoka is complete without a stop at "I'm Donut" near Tenjin-Minami.
They have those in Tokyo too!! I’m forever a Mister Donut girl haha
@@JessicaMiyukiArt The Tenjin Chikagai is also worth checking out on a rainy or hot day.
@@w3s77 Yes! I went there to eat dinner and dessert :)
Why aren’t you on the big screen? @ 25:31 that how it feels whenever you come on camera! God bless
Haha it’s hard to beat the view of fresh baked bread!
