That's definitely a sibling relationship 😂 We got beef between each other, but nobody else can have beef with them, or there's about to be a problem. 😂
I think in a very weird and fucked up way, Beth was always jealous of how much time Morty had spent with Rick who is her Father. Beth was always seeking Rick's approval and affection. Thus I think she subconsciously started resenting her own son for getting something she didn't get while younger. Doesn't help that the show heavily inplied that she might be some kind of Psychopath.

Lotta theories here. I think Rick was wrong about Beth, I think she's genuinely WORSE than him. She responded before the guy could finish talking, she didn't reconsider, she didn't apologize, she immediately was fine if Morty died. Summer was very obviously heartbroken at the idea that Beth cares so little about Morty that she would let him die at the drop of a hat. Rick pretends not to care about anyone, but Beth's apathy is legit.
Thw fact the summer was at the thought of "this shit is fucked up" makes her a actuall good sister thats not selfish and that they have a brother sister relationship

Not gonna lie I think I can possibly see why Beth chooses summer, despite what led to her birth being something out of pity and an accident Beth still loves summer, but hasn’t really been showing it with one episode even indicating a bit that their lives would have been drastically different had it not been for summer being born (also beth and Jerry’s love for each other)
@@jmanroXD I find it funny how this isn’t even an insult to Jerry, lol. Like that would realistically be the proper reaction to having to choose which one of your kids live.
All of them feel bad for this, but setting feelings aside, Summer was the better option to live. Morty is so close with Rick, that he gets in so much danger and stays away from the family. But if Morty were to be gone, Rick would leave again. Leaving them to live a normal life. A life without Rick is a better life. He creates problems and sometimes doesn’t even solve them. Just ignores them. Or offer a solution that isn’t a real solution to the problem. We even have proof that they are better without Rick and Morty in their lives because of the Cronenberg universe.

That's actually a good point. We like to demonize people with anti-social tendencies, but the majority of them aren't monsters. The lower empathy just makes them brutally practical.
No such things as "part" sociopath. You either are or aren't.
@@shellshockedbros4458 Like with all mental disorders, sociopathy exists in a spectrum. Some people are more sociopathic, some less. Beth is textbook sociopath though, not just “part.”
@@adiaphoros6842 Sure, you could say the same with Autism. However, you can't be a "tad bit" autistic. You don't get a "pinch" of autism. You either are autistic or you aren't.
@@shellshockedbros4458 | It's a spectrum. You can display anti-social tendencies and mannerisms while still possessing a capacity for empathy and love.
Damn even summer looks sad.
Sadly if you have siblings, your parents will ALWAYS have a favorite. Might be different, but each will like a certain child more then their rest as they connect more to that child.
Beth could just argue that Rick was gonna save Morty anyway
she could though about it for more than half a second yo buy rick time
@@danielpritchard510 as if that villain wasnt gonna pop out some over complicated form of slowly killing the kid she didnt choose. Given the people Rick and his family had to deal with, that villain was gonna choose something very slow and painful, which would have given Rick enough time to show up, save the day, and Morty would have probably just lost an arm...which he might already have if he isnt a decoy
@@ghost_anna_reads787 ahd hed of done this after .5 seconds?
@Ghost_Anna _Reads The only reason you have to assume that (the long and slow death) is because you know you're watching a story. There's not only no reason for Beth to assume that there's also no reason to assume that she assumes that.
The entire point of the scene is that what Beth just did was fucked up. It's the implied reason that the memory was removed from Morty in the first place. Why are you defending her action here? XD
@@AlphaOmega1237 my original comment wasnt defending Beth and my following comments were ment to defend myself. I find it strange that this family still values their lives or that of those around them with a mini God like Rick around that somehow always ends up saving the day. As for the monologue and slow death, wouldn't Beth, Morty, Summer and so on recognize a pattern? Which one of the villains have just gotten to the point and killed someone?
Summer might beef with Morty sometimes but at least she still actually has love for him. Especially that one time they got high together.😂
Wasn’t it brake fluid when they got high with?
That's definitely a sibling relationship 😂 We got beef between each other, but nobody else can have beef with them, or there's about to be a problem. 😂
This is why the Beth that went into space was the real one
The real Beth would never give a shit that Morty was dating Planetina
That decision was so fucked up that even Summer thought that was fucked up
It's even more fucked up when you realise Summer was an accident and Morty was actually wanted by them
I think in a very weird and fucked up way, Beth was always jealous of how much time Morty had spent with Rick who is her Father. Beth was always seeking Rick's approval and affection. Thus I think she subconsciously started resenting her own son for getting something she didn't get while younger. Doesn't help that the show heavily inplied that she might be some kind of Psychopath.
I know exactly how that feels
I too have a child who I would let die

@@MauricioBarragan nah I wasn’t telling u any thing lol
I hope it’s only because rick has a machine in Marty to kill everybody except a few people
I wanna know what Beth said to Morty afterwards.
I'm not exactly sure that "I'm sorry" is worth anything after that display of affection, or lack thereof.
Can’t believe i didn’t think of this upon first viewing (or maybe I did and just forgot): That right there is most likely Evil Morty’s origin story…
I would choose Summer too because I think shes more likeable (I wish there were more Summer focused episodes like when she was the leader of the night people) but damn at least hesitate Beth. She answered instantly.
And that's why we have evil Morty...
Lotta theories here. Original daughter, jealous of morty because rick spends more time with him than her, eldest without any mental disabilities (let’s be honest morty has got something jerry about him), maybe just knowing that rick probably has a clone of morty anyhow, maybe knowing morty has safeguards installed in him that would’ve saved him, plenty of stuff.
She knew Morty was from another dimension, that's why she didn't even think about it
No it's because summer is the only reason Jerry and Beth got married
@@user7495 both answers are right

Why does Rick always name everything and relates it to aids. “Booger aids” “poop aids”. All of them are labeled “booger aids”
To be far that probably isn't even her morty
Doesn’t change the fact that at the time she didn’t know that. And at the end of the day that Morty is indistinguishable from her Morty. It’s still her son that she just so callously through side.
It makes sense that a mother would choose her daughter. I’m sure if Jerry was in her position, he would’ve picked his son.
the way she didn’t even wait for him to finish his sentence 🥲
Guess this is from the current season's "Parlamentary Gap" (a.k.a. *AfterMath* of the Past Life Events...)
Nah this one is from an earlier season
I think Rick was wrong about Beth, I think she's genuinely WORSE than him. She responded before the guy could finish talking, she didn't reconsider, she didn't apologize, she immediately was fine if Morty died. Summer was very obviously heartbroken at the idea that Beth cares so little about Morty that she would let him die at the drop of a hat. Rick pretends not to care about anyone, but Beth's apathy is legit.
Rick always knew that. That is why he created a paralel dimension that beth could do anything she wanted without killing real people
@@UchihaFabioAnd even then we know what she did to Tommy 💀
We need an episode based on that scene
She would have saved Morty some trauma if she had waited ONE DAMN SECOND.
I will choose Summer! >.>
Morty, you are loved.
damn, Morty probably reminds Beth of Jerry too much 😂
Thw fact the summer was at the thought of "this shit is fucked up" makes her a actuall good sister thats not selfish and that they have a brother sister relationship
This reminds me of that scene from Firefly when the bad guy was making a character choose one of two people to save and thought it would cause her to freak out but she went for one almost instantly. This made him mad so he proceeded to rip the ear off the one she didn't pick.
Not gonna lie I think I can possibly see why Beth chooses summer, despite what led to her birth being something out of pity and an accident Beth still loves summer, but hasn’t really been showing it with one episode even indicating a bit that their lives would have been drastically different had it not been for summer being born (also beth and Jerry’s love for each other)
See, the only reason i can think to defend beth is because she knows there are thousands of morty’s, however there are barely any summers
i love the running joke of rick naming everything aids
Rick and Jerry would have chosen Morty
Jerry would have hesitated and crumbled. Rick wouldn't have had to choose.
@@jmanroXD probably true
@@jmanroXD I find it funny how this isn’t even an insult to Jerry, lol. Like that would realistically be the proper reaction to having to choose which one of your kids live.

@@xavierrivera3407 Lol, honestly... still better than Beth's reaction.
Yes but beth wanted that his dad don't leave her again
Gotta love how Summer is literally the accidental, unplaned child that Beth didn't even want as a teen...and yet she's STILL the favorite and most loved ❤
The funny thing is he labeled this memory poop aids and when summer has to help them with blind hopping, all files are called booger aids, atleast hes consistent
She chose Summer out of mercy for Morty
mercy? More like summer is her first born.
@@Ndasuunyeand she was the accident

Phoebe and Titan are vastly different in basically all characteristics aside from "orbits Saturn"
Yeah this makes evil morty more relatable cause morty prime is so close to being an evil morty with family like that
Damn no hesitation with her
It amazes me how Beth manages to be the most unlikable character in this show and that’s saying alot. Rick is arguably evil, like actually evil. And somehow Beth makes me disgusted and annoyed whenever she’s present.
Well Rick is very open and honest about where he stands, which warrants some level of respect because that kind of honesty is extremely hard to come by. Beth pretends and lies to others as much as she lies to herself and puts on a show that shes a good person. Thats what makes her disgusting. She can't even be honest about her evil nature, and Rick even said that the apple fell straight down from the tree. She blames her problems on everybody else around her and abuses the people who genuinely love her while placing herself on a morally high pedestal. F*ck Beth.
It's probably just misogyny.
@@lum26akua28or the fact that she just threw morty away like he was a stained shirt, bro straight up would’ve died if Rick hadn’t shown up
@@DALWAG That isn't even close to the shit Rick or even Morty has done. Not even close. Yet Beth is the most unlikable? Sure...
