When Ron laughs, an angel is born.
With a mustache
You are so right
❤
An angel drinks a glass of whiskey
When Tammy laughs a angel dies
"I thought I would teach them to saw" may be the sweetest thing Ron ever says to Dianne. He not only wants to be an active part of their lives, but wants to share something he loves with the people he loves.
Homeplace "acquaintances"
he seemed genuinely excited about it as well
Thts whats great about this character
Just watch the fucking show and stop typing everything u see
@@kit-kkat I don't get it. So weird.
Actors usually drink fake alcohol when filming, but I get the feeling Nick Offerman was really drinking Lagavulin 16 in all of his scenes.
He was!
@@TheRuinedKing At 8:40 he is actually drinking Lagavulin 12
@@HAFhotandfluffy Yeah, on other shows it would be filled with ice tea or something that looks like alcohol but really isn't. But I bet on all of Nick's scenes, Ron Swanson was actually drinking the real thing no matter how many takes were needed.
He even has a special Offerman Lagavulin coming out if it hasn’t already!
There is an outtake where Andy takes a drink in Ron's office and has to spit it out because he didn't expect it to be real alcohol.
“I wish this office had only walls” words to live by
Not for my Sims characters.
the sentiment is understandable, but that really is just jail with isolation and i guess later.. misery. No?
@Hallie I can definitely picture that 😂
@Hallie lmao why'd you directly copy paste someone's top comment on this video?
Leslie's "I don't have time for a history lesson" line felt like one of the rare moments when someone 'Ron'd Ron.
Great line!!
Lesley does " Ron" Ron though. She adapts her speech patterns to others. It's very well written.
He got swansoned
I love how Ron walks on stage without his jacket, fedora and sax but when the camera cuts back to him he suddenly has all three
They are not the same person
Duke Silva is awesome!
Ok weirdo, let’s go
Now step by step as to how everything suddenly appears, should I start at the Big Bang or a closer starting point?
@@letyvasquez2025 Who are you talking to? Hope it wasn't me cause I don't really respond to trolls. I'm wondering if I wasted my time creating this account? How can anyone think they are so important that other people will actually respond to this? Anyways, hope you didn't write to much cause I didn't read it.
6:20
good luck with the schizophrenia there, chief.
I know that this has been said a thousand times but Leslie and Ron's friendship is arguably the best thing about this great show. The dynamic between the actors is fantastic and the dialogues are some of the best for a sitcom.
Aubrey Plaza and Nick Offerman are perfectly awesome together.
April
I'm also glad that it never tries to or flirts with the idea of crossing into romance. Even in this video, Ron explicitly defines it as a friendship and nothing more. Too often, I feel like these things become romantic or the idea is played with and thus I have to roll my eyes at people I watch shows like this with who think it could be a thing. But in no uncertain terms does Parks and Rec define their relationship as strictly a friendship and I do love that very much. Platonic relationships are underrated. It's not that there aren't enough platonic relationships between members of the opposite sex in shows like P&R, but, they often play with the idea of romance even if nothing serious comes of it.
Nah, April is my favourite.
Ron behaving like a kid in a candy store is pure gold
I don’t think people appreciate the complexity of this joke.
@@JoseSanchez-sc6fe Yes, that is accurate.
He’d most probably be working there too
Giddy Ron is kind of strange.
I love that Ron's tv appearance started with him as spokesman for the gala, then ended with him as host of "You're on with Ron"
I would watch that show every night.
@TheSmallestBeast i agree
"Any dog less than 50lbs is a cat and cats are pointless".
Truer words have never been spoken
I have said that all my life before even seeing the show.
This is so hard for me to believe him saying, since he grew up on a farm
my 17 pounds dog who hates cats : 🥲
Does that mean a cat over 50 pounds is now a dog?
7:30 "I don't like you but i respect the effort." Such a man
You can see in his face the "damn that was good"
U only see a true man's personality when he loses😌He's Ron F***ing Swanson!
Every time Ron calls Andy "son" my heart grows a little
Be careful, my heart just exploded
"You are a wonderful person, your friendship means a lot to me, and you look very beautiful."
That sentence alone should have won Nick Offerman an Emmy.
you mean the writers?
@@derlou88 The writers are responsible both for the line and for creating the character of Ron Swanson, that much is true. They also deserved some accolades for what they did, I'm not saying otherwise. What I meant was the acting in the scene. By Ron's own words, crying is acceptable only at funerals and the Grand Canyon. He doesn't have friends; he considers the people in the Parks Department workplace acquaintances. But in this scene he slips and show that for all his gruffness and supposed uncaring, he truly thinks of Leslie as a friend and he is happy and supportive of her. All of this, and more, Offerman shows in a single sentence. That's why he deserved an award for his performance.
@@derlou88 No. Offerman's delivery of the line.
Big Tapdancing Pimp his delivery was spot on though
Lesly responding with "ok weirdo" just shows the degree of friendship theyre at
I love the wedding punch. He let the boy hit him twice didn't hardly budge, then quickly rocked him all nonchalantly.
Jamm's punch is like mosquito bite, useless.
You just got Nose Jammed!
"I don't like you, but I respect the effort."
This show has so many great quips.
One of the things I love about this show is how they all have different political views, like Leslie and Ron, but still talk and love each other very much.
If you can’t get on with people you disagree with or dislike then you aren’t really a ‘good’ person.
Almost like they're functional members of society or something...
It's sad how politicians have managed to make us hate the opponent instead of like them
@Efren Rios heard that
Their core values are the same. So, they get along very well. The politics are just sprinkles.

Why is no one talking about the friendship of Andy and Ron. It’s like a father ,son relationship. It’s so wholesome, you can help but smile when you see it.
I believe you mean Andrew.
"Put on a pair of wet socks and go to sleep.." I almost cried laughing. And that giggle is glorious!

This is why despite all he says about hating the government and much to his chagrin, Ron is an excellent bureaucrat.

@@letyvasquez2025 When Ron mimics reality, it is the reality that is scared.
Okay, Lucy Lawless is a great actress. I never noticed this before when I've watched this episode but at 2:10, Diane has a brief look of distress that she quickly covers up when Leslie comes in and introduces herself. Really lays the ground for the conversation they have later.
Ron actually realizing that he shouldn't give a saw to a little girl is true character growth

I like that Ron loves Dianne and was able to admit that he messed up. He's never had kids now he has two and a girlfriend. It's honestly really amazing. I love that he did grow and change-making sure to love the girls like his son Jon. 6:36 the laugh of angels
Most people smile with their mouth. Ron Swanson smiles with his mustache.
Ron's giggle is why I get up in the morning. 6:35 Case in point.
Leslie and Ron have one of the best platonic love relationships I've seen in a sitcom. I thought Parks and Rec nailed two outstanding characters, and then showed us the kind of people they'd be attracted to romantically, all without muddying up their friendship. It's definitely one of my favorite parts of the series, especially because Ron and Leslie are so VASTLY different; sometimes they're even completely opposite, yet there is a ton of mutual respect and admiration. Leslie is exactly the person you need when your assistant books a year's worth of appointments on the same day, and Ron is the person you need to punch a %^&* out at your wedding.
But they are both honourable, loyal, honest, brave, kind, tolerant, enthusiastic, confident, moral, respectful.
You're right they are vastly different, but also very similar. Someone like Jeremy Jamm is vastly different to Ron.
