Andy is the reason that Ron is happily married and has a son 😂
That little snippet where we see Andy write with chalk on the floor "Ron likes you" ahah that was adorable and so wholesome
not surprising Andy was the king of don't over think it, the exact philosophy on love Ron stated earlier in the series
I never caught that scene till now and God Andy and Ron's relationship was so special
And Ron’s the reason he has April since Ron brought April back by saying Andy said something but he couldn’t recall what
If a sitcom is funny, it's a good sitcom.
If a sitcom is funny while simultaneously being insightful, nuanced and heartfelt, then it's a great sitcom.
Whenever Ron and Tammy 2 interact, whether it’s amicable or vengeful, it’s always chaotic and I’m here for it.😂😂😂
which is even weirder cause that's his actual real wife lmao
The fact that they are a couple irl makes it funnier
"and I'm here for it" god I cannot wait until this extremely cringey phrase dies a much needed death.
god... simply typing that abomination out just made me wince multiple times

He loves small gov but hates irresponsible people. He likes Leslie because she believes in doing the right thing plus she is responsible, and for him, that's better than her loving the one thing he really hates, the government.
For him, Leslie, Ben, and other responsible in the government is better than small gov. The show didn't show us but I bet that he is absolutely delighted when Leslie/Ben becomes the president of the USA.
3:13 Best thing I ever heard this week so far: "I would wish you the best of luck but, I believe luck is a concept invented by the weak to explain their failures."
@Guy Incognito to be fair Ron will do the bare minimum at his job to not get fired when it comes up like the water fountain project, hosting the department appreciation picnic, and attending CTMTS
The brilliant mind of someone who doesn't get that Ron is a satirical character. Meaning lines like that are being made fun of.
@@statesofgracie Ironically, it's people like Ron who perpetuate the failure of government. They're inventing a problem for a solution they subscribe to. Libertarians have no place in government.
@@mechanomics2649 Ron is a satirical character, but only the obvious lines are effective satire. The stuff about fish being basically a vegetable, dogs below 40 lbs. are basically cats, and he'd like to bring the entire government down are all satirical. However, the bit about luck ... not such much. There's a lot of wisdom in Ron Swanson. Oh, and the way he normally describes himself would be more as an anarchist than a true libertarian.
@@mechanomics2649 Just because the righters "meant" something to be satirical doesn't necessarily mean there is no truth to it.
I love how Andy as a character is goofy and whimsical, but is actually deep empathetic and relatable, while also being a great wingman.

People shouldn't feel scared about being born a certain way, and I genuinely feel like Ron would be in support of that, he entirely believes in freedom to do whatever you want.
Thinking about communism for a minute, if "real communism" has "never been tried" by now, how could it *ever* be? With that in mind, how could it *ever* work, if it *can not* ever be done?
Careful, you're making too much sense!
Who said it can never not be done? Just because it hasn't been properly executed, doesn't meant it can't be. I'm not even a communist but your logic makes no sense.
@@mechanomics2649 The part where it's historically proven *impossible* to "properly" implement, since *all* failures are written off as "not real communism"
@@InfernosReaper you have to admit tho that it's pretty difficult to implement communism (or anything adjacent) in a globally capitalist economy that is willing to use violence to protect the status quo. look at the recent history of cia backed coups in south america for example.
early tries like the ussr did fail in their implementation because their approach was authoritarian, but if you look at for example the zapatistas, their approach seems to work pretty well.
@@janus2773 I honestly feel like the capabilities of groups like the CIA are a bit overestimated, since they're also working against other groups with comparable resources, even within the same government, since even when the agendas align, miscommunication and distrust are rampant in such organizations, so one hand doesn't know what the other is doing, but they're "sure" it's going to involve stabbing them in the back

I agree with Ron on pretty much everything. The child labor laws might need review but I’m not saying lose them altogether.
Logic
Ron Swanson reminds me of Mike Pence but less religious 😂😂😂😂
They did a pretty good job over all on his character, but it gets me every time I see the scene where he praises the US dollar. Clearly written by someone who has never met a libertarian.
There are a surprising number of people in the US who call themselves libertarians but absolutely do not adhere to that ideology, so maybe they were going for that? Idk I feel like 60% of “libertarians” in the US are just republicans who are cool with weed
When communism first gained popularity, capitalism was in it's early stages and honestly wasn't looking so good. Early stage capitalism looked like the same class divide as ever but with even more wealth at the top and more work hours and health hazards at the bottom. Communist Revolution made sense. What people didn't predict was the insane technological advancements that arose due to competitive markets. Technology advanced and the standard of living went up for everyone far beyond what we could imagine, including the working class and marginalized people. After seeing the great wealth and comfort capitalism brought to everyone, the communists lost support of the working class. So they tried to pivot and claim capitalism is bad because of the environment, and then nuclear energy came along and it pissed them off so much because yet again capitalism just out-technologied their problems. Out of spite, communists are trying to sabotage nuclear energy and force people to use "renewables" to manufacture a crisis, even though nuclear is greener by every metric. Communism made this sad shift from a hopeful alternative to spiteful lunacy.
The only major flaw left in our capitalist society is the real estate market. Since land "owners" just have a piece of paper which is a claim, they don't need to provide value to the land or society to own the land, they don't even need to use the land themselves. So we are left with this archaic landlord system where someone can just fine you for living in a house instead of selling you the house and mega corporations are buying massive residential areas just so they aren't sold to possible tenants. Owning a house is by far the most important metric in cost of living, so really if we abolish the land lord class and put heavy restrictions on corporations from buying residential buildings, that would open up the competitive house buying market only for people who actually want to live in said houses, we would have basically perfect capitalism then. Add a solution to plastic waste on top of that and we've really nailed it.
tl:dr Ron is right, capitalism is a beautiful system.
I wish it was 40%……
Nice to know ron is a libertarian! 🎉
Ron: “Child labor laws are ruining this country”
Chuds: “He just like me fr”
@league fan The majority of liberterian's are not on the right and don't advocate for no child labor laws 🙄 the child labor law line was a joke and does not represent liberterians.

No government is better
Ron Swanson is a satire of Libertarians. So it's fitting that a joke character is the voice of a joke ideology.
@@mechanomics2649is explanation of taxation was fantastic. 40%? If he’s rounding up from the 37% I’m pretty sure it maxes at then to make the analogy accurate he should have presented the little girl with a seven course meal of the finest foods and taken 40% of that, and see how upset the girl was.
She might be annoyed that she has less than she could have had, but realistically she still has many times more than she could ever need and she probably wouldn’t care that much.
Edit: just checked the brackets, 37% on income above $540,000. Working full time for 50 weeks (which I won’t) at my minimum wage job I’d make $30,000 before taxes. In order to be taxed at the rate Ron acts is normal I would need to make as much in a year as I’m likely to see in a decade accounting for the likelihood that I will get a better paying job now that I’ve graduated. And since we have a progressive tax system I would only be taxed that rate on income 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 that amount, not all of it.
I’d pay a flat 50% on the whole to make that much money.
What about meat?

Death and taxes
How else are we gonna pay for public workers or services?
Jeez get over it
If you expect Libertarians to know how government works, you expect too much.
It's more the amount of taxes. Most libertarians are ok with a sales tax and small government. The problem is they tax pretty much everything and have massive bloat in government
Every service in all history was private in some time. Food is provided by government? Nothing more vital.
So get over it, dude.
