Cool. I’ve owned about 35 novas. Never a 62-67. Maybe I need to get one. Lol

Man I cannot wait to get some more space, and more experience, so I can start really digging into my Camaro as opposed to just my rinky dinky little freshing up project. Good job on your explanations and creativity!! Impressive and I will be watching more. Thanks.

I worked for years in a driveway and then a 20X20 garage that I could only use half of. My shop is brand new and only 30x40 but I love it.

I just sat here thinking of the geometry and with out putting inside something like Autodesk inventor I would have to agree with you. The twist from a hard launch would benefit the shocks being on the backside. Depending on how much travel you’re going to have in the suspension that would determine the angle of the struts. But you would need a lot more the 3-5in to angle it back.

Yeah. The factory shocks have about 8 inches of travel. I should be right about 60% of that at ride height. I hope.

u are right on the shocks it does matter i kept my stock and still had nice meats but my was a 73 ss i think they have more room in the back wheel can't remember were the shocks are under my car been years since i been under it . my car is all factory but the engine and trans had to have a bb it is the only way i go they just look so much better under the hood . right now i am building a 79 z28 rs t top hep it is getting a stroked 454 just like my 68 pu i just got on the road still have a few thing to do to it then tare back down for a full restoration first do all mjy custom work and cutting or what ever i need to do test drive it then i restore them plus it tells me how much more i want to do with the engine or need to change something .

Theirs a reason that the manufacturer placed, one shock in the back and the other shock up front, is to solve the problem of wheel hopping. Staggering the shocks make the operate at different frequency, thus one canceling (dampening) the other, thus eliminating wheel hopping during hard acceleration, just like installing dampeners on a valve train.

Yep. With traction bars it isn’t necessary.

I just used rustoleum. Cleaned it with a grinder with wire wheel. Then used rustoleum rust converter then black rustoleum paint. 2 heavy coats.
