Ok State is very much a mid tier Big 12 program. It's funny how SEC apologists such as your self move the goal posts whenever it's convenient. The hard truth is there is not a lot of difference between Mississippi State, Kentucky, Arkansas, Vandy, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Missouri and Tennessee compared to the mid and bottom tier of the Big 12 except stadium size. 7-5 to 8-4. It's a stacked league this year and Oklahoma is getting most of those teams. Maybe 5 games vs top 10. They'll be solid eventually perennial top 5 SEC which puts you in playoff picture. That's all that matters now anyway. They won't be there every year but I'd think most. We shall see. Definitely possible to be a Florida type mod program as well. Here it's not about name on your chest it's about having a great coach who can utilize talent because everyone has it. The great coaches stay at the top. Guys like heupple and Kelly and Napier haven't proved themselves consistently yet anyway. Drinkwitz may be there with Smart and Kiffin guessing Sarkisian likely Debore if you've followed his path basically great every stop. That's your top tier. No real OU fans are going to say “7-5, what a great season”. a 7-5 season is unacceptable at Oklahoma. When that Iron Bowl played at Jordan Hare it’s definitely going to be a toss up not matter how bad Auburn record is. Remember in 2021, the Iron Bowl was 10-10, going into OT. The thing about the SEC you can knock off Bama thinking every game after may be a breeze lol, have a lower team come in and smoke your team. Every team not Bama and Georgia but remember EVERY team has those type of athletes. Look at what happened to Tennessee, they beat Bama and ranked #5 in the country, a playoff contender. Road games to Auburn LSU Ole Miss and Mizzou this season is going to be tough on all SEC teams. Then playing top 5 talented teams in Alabama and Texas, Oklahoma has a tough schedule this season. I myself decide to watch tape from games last year and then compile the weaknesses versus games that Oklahoma played with other teams last year. SEC is a grind everyday most teams you have to bring your A game. It makes a long season. Hope your 3 deep every position. Oklahoma will be fine.
