Eubank conducted himself in a dignified and educated manner in this interview far superior than his counterpart. He wasnt ARROGANT he was a showman, it made him money and he was honest about his profession, he was in it for the money. A total legend!
My favourite bit in this clip is when Ross picks on the guy in the audience for his broken nose. The guy is clearly really uncomfortable with it and Nigel Benn switches it up by paying him a compliment.
@@Ali-sv5sg Eubank beat Benn who beat The "G" man who was going to be the next big thing in boxing ; who was himself in my opinion one of the best ever.. We don't give a shit about America !! America isn't the only land of boxing in the world, Great Britain with Ireland, Mexico, Porto Rico, Russia and Eastern Euro country's like Kazakhstan and Ukraine along with some other country's like Cuba or Argentina did have great fighters too and are highly involved in boxing.. America is the "Mecqua" of boxing yes but you don't need to win there to be a Legend of the sport.
Hilarious and fascinating watching this back. Did Tessa just compare the injuries of throwing javelins to boxing? Idiot. Eubank was spot on with his response. And the irony of someone saying that Eubank was not fun! He was one of the last entertaining boxing personalities we have had.
I'm guessing it was very unusual for people (expect for many boxers in the business) back then to see how he acted in the ring compared to outside the ring, so people thought he was the same egotistical performer in the ring without understanding that it's not representative of the man we're seeing in this video. So there's a lot of judgmental and suggestive questions and answers about him here, which is kind of frustrating to look back on now.
Chris , his behaviors in the rings , is classic ,is majestic. , He is good human being . I cannot stope watching that behaviors. May the yunas bless you amen.
I'm a huge Benn fan and I used to hate Eubanks because of it, but over time it became more and more difficult to hate him and now I have the upmost respect for him, he's a great man and anybody who says differently clearly doesn't know him.
LOL I remember watching this like it was yesterday..used to see Chris around quite a lot in London Marble Arch..with his truck always said hello to everyone brilliant bloke..
Eubank understood marketing himself. Floyd Mayweather has made MILLIONS of dollars by making himself "the bad guy" who everyone wanted to see lose. Eubank was the same way back then, as a person he is a class act and many of the things he is saying is simply him putting on a show.
19Canadian84 Class act my arse lol 😂. He’s a 5uckin actor, smug, disrespectful and not a sportsman. Got to laugh when he tries to portray himself as articulate too lol 😂
If your talking about the javelin thrower then you're a fucking eejit, her questions and responses where unbearable, actually got me angry 25 or however many years later that anyone could be that ignorant
I was more a Benn supporter at the time, but, as the years have gone by and we see these guys more as entertainers than fighters, it's much more even for me; in fact, I'd call it a draw, much like this fight was!
@illyrian4life Back then, fighters were exciting and the public wanted to see them. No need for media hype. These days, you have mediocre boxers who no one really cares about seeing and needs massive media hype for anyone to really care.
Love how Eubank shut her down about comparing Javelin punishments to a boxer

Tessa Sanderson, please be quiet, we get injured too, yeah you could pull a muscle or hamstring!
My favourite bit in this clip is when Ross picks on the guy in the audience for his broken nose. The guy is clearly really uncomfortable with it and Nigel Benn switches it up by paying him a compliment.
Totally just came here to write your exact comment
How on earth can anyone have the audacity to compare javelin to boxing? Yet, Chris still responded to her in a very respectful and dignified manner...
Barry McGuigan is a person it's impossible to hate. Such a nice, charming, clever man.
Unless your Carl frampton
@@HH-gq7zo lol yeah I was going to say that Carl frampton disagrees
Amazing Intelligent & articulate! Hats off Mr. Eubank Great video!
Chris eubank was in my opinion one of the greatest boxers ever he is a legend
Never conquered America
Ali Didn’t need to
Benn too...

Totally agree. Devastating and masterful in the ring, classy and Gentlemanly outside the ring. A total legend

Captainpinkness Eubank was insincere smug and certainly not a sportsman! Nigel Benn was more honest at least. Strutting, goading. A total prick
People look back on his career with rose tinted glasses tho, he could stink the place out often and got quite a few gifts

Don't think you know how strained your body is when that javelin leaves your hand ever muscle in your body is at full strength
Definately a man you don't meet everyday.
Eubank is a good guy, always used to chat to me in Brighton sad we dont see him down here so much now
Legend has it Tessa sanderson wakes up in a cold sweat at 3 oclock every morning going shit did i say that.
This is one sportsman I have always admired,a very eloquent and confident man.
Golden age of uk boxing , benn is one of my all time favourites
It really was.

I wouldn't mind a private chat with Linda Lusardi!!!

He was the king of showmanship. Ali was good at it but Eubank took it to a whole new level.
Absolutely!!:)
The host is doing a GWEAT job!
The good old days when boxing was free to watch.
Colour TV was all u needed.
boxing needs fighters like benn, eubank, hagler, hearns. exciting guys that fought everyone.
Linda lusardi, God I loved her
A great time for british boxing honestly was there a better time? Benn, Watson and Eubank were great rivals.
You could never show this level of real masculinity now also
Its nice how well spoken the people are minus the speach impediments
Gary Mason @ 3:57. RIP Gary.
7:28 Every sportsman enjoys winning - she seems quite comfortable saying it too :) :) :)

He's gotta be one of the best looking boxers ever.;)
What was the Paul Whitehouse comment all about?
he was in character as mike smash
I will have fun when I have private conversation with that lady lol
Frank Bruno is in the audience. This must've been right after his loss to Lewis.

depressing counting how many of the celebs in the crowd that are dead now !! or really old now.
You probably won't respond but which ones are dead, it was only in the nineties?

@womblewandering very true bro.
When Tony Slattery was relevant...
Who
Is Wendy Richard that old broad from Eastenders?
Boz Ajanovic yeah she’s died since you wrote that
Im not sure what she means by 'I can't imagine Chris having fun' With his eccentric persona, it seems conceivable to me that he would have fun.
Nigel Benn was the best I grew up watching him and he’s a true warrior LEGEND
Jonathan is right He is a good looking guy
Bring Jonathan Ross show back liked this interview brilliant..
Chris was so misunderstood here, still is in a lot of ways all these years later.
If Chris Eubank does think boxing is a mug's game then he is a bit of a hypocrite supporting Eubank Jr in his career!
This to what he's saying
He didn't. He said himself that he done everything he could to stop Jr being a boxer. Now that there is no way to stop, he had to support him.
That quote was originally in the context of how promotors take advantage of fighters.
They could never do this now
Trying to compare javlin with boxing lmao.
What about Eubanks with his American 🇺🇸 police 👮♂️ badge 😂
Tessa the spam javelin sanderson
I was a fan of his and I know boxing misses him now.
He was good for the sport. All sports are really lacking in personalities these days.
Jennifer M fan of who
Thats because Its not covered enough on terrestrial TV
Nigel clearly thinks that Jonathon Ross is a prick…like everyone else does.
No such thing as a bad Benn fight, until after G Mac.
Benns the Mann
Tessa Sanderson made f*ck all throwing a spear. It doesn’t compare. And when did she become a newsreader?
Chris and his dodgy flattop lol
Tessa Saunders thinks she is queen Elizabeth
bollocks, he has even since said benn deserved second fight
@Ronald Jordan except it isn't Ronald Mcdonald

Not a single chavy roadman cheap fake chat here.
Desperate tv
Eubanks : " I wouldn't want that for my son"
well that was a damn lie
It wasn't a lie from Snr. Jnr wanted it. Snr had no choice to get involved so it was done right.
