I just finished placing this on my truck. I loaded my wife’s scooter and took the truck out on the road to see how well this carrier works. It did very well. Doesn’t shake and it does exactly as advertised. I removed the scooter and folded the ramp in its unloaded configuration and I can’t even see it from the cab via any of my mirrors. It sits below the tailgate and is narrower than the width of the truck. Once I removed it from the shipping box, I checked out how it was constructed, it seems to be very well constructed in all parts. None of the included parts are cheap plastic, even the reflectors are a good quality,it is genuinely solid in construction. It’s not difficult to put together, though I would recommend two people to lift and place it in the hitch receiver, not easy by yourself. This is one of those purchases, because of cost, that you hope it’s correctly advertised and does what they say, it does. This will work very well for our need.

What model lift is this ? Instruction manual for DR300 is missing important installation instructions ! e.g. where do provided washers go ? Two fender washer and two regular washer used to attach the two brackets together and to attach the assembled bracket to the lift. Missing instructions !

There are two weights advertised for this, one is 350 lbs, the other is 500 lbs. I couldn’t determine the difference initially. I believe the aluminum version is 350 lbs and the steel version is 500 lbs.
