    I saw a giant black manta ray with white polka dots. it was twice my size, it was in the deep blue waters of keys in florida, scary, but now i know there not like sharks.

    AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!....and the girl talking is pretty good looking too lol. I love how the manta that swam around her in the beginning (which was epic btw) had two fish symmetrically attached to it like earrings or accessories or something.

    Well, I don't think this is a good example of our lack of knowledge. People have probably been seeing these for years without noticing the differences between the two types of manta rays. That said, there are probably tons of species in deep water that we've never see.

  • @Eclipseheart00
    @Eclipseheart00 Před 12 lety

    no, i dont think Mantas are poisonous.
    if u look at a sting ray and at a Manta, there is a difference in their tails.
    Sting rays have this barb at the end of their tail wich is the thing that stings you (mostly if u step on it beacuse the tail can only go above its back) and Mantas dont have that barb on the end of their tails.
    but I could be wrong, there might be a few species of manta that have poisonous barbs on their tails.

  • @zippsy
    @zippsy Před 12 lety

    I would have loved the video if the diver had only refrained from touching the animal. You are definitely sending the wrong message to all other divers. Also, whether or not the manta "enjoyed" the interaction, it was changing its behavior. What happens next time when it happily swims up to a spear fisherman, hoping for a gentle caress or to play in the bubbles? THINK!!!!!
