    But is this Texas 6.25% tax paid only one time at the purchase, or is it somehow yearly. Or are there any additional yearly taxes for cars in TX?

    • @EdwardInTX
      @EdwardInTX  Před 6 měsíci

      one time at purchase, then a flat $75/yr

    Question. Is it regular yearly registration in TX, and the amount varies yearly? Is it the same for cars and trucks --- I suppose the actual question is, whats the difference in registering a car in TX from CA? -- TY.

      The amounts here are one time on initial registration. Annual renewals are $75 a year for us.

    Hi, that was a helpful video. I purchased my car in California in 2016 and moved to Texas this month. To register here what should I use as the sale price? We bought it brand new from a dealer in 2016. And what should i fill in the Form 130 U in the field 38(a). Please help

      Shouldn't need to put a sale price, as it's a transfer. I didn't list a sale price on the form when I moved. What does field 38a say?

    • @shalinis3874
      @shalinis3874 Před 4 lety

      EdwardInTX the field 38 (a)
      Sales Price ($____________)
      rebate has been deducted
      Since the current value of my car isn’t going to be the same as it was when I bought it in 2016, I am not sure what fields I should fill in “Sale and Use Tax Computation “ section. Kindly let me know if you know which fields I need to fill in the Form 130-U. Am only registering the car no Title

      @@shalinis3874 Don't fill that box in. You could try checking "registration only." Look at the circled fields in 1:40 here czcams.com/video/RV2XVa6U0SE/video.html

    Left the same comment on a different video, hopefully you can help me out.
    Hi I just bought a new truck from a Louisiana dealer. They mentioned that they would send the information required to the texas dmv so I could register the truck in texas. I’m so confused about the taxes. Would I have to pay a texas tax on a new truck I bought from the dealer?
    Thank you

      Yes, TX state would collect the taxes. Louisiana should not charge you tax.

    Your video is very informative. Because I thought my small dealer is cheating.
