Having grown up in this era I can't listen to the radio these days, so my digital library is loaded with these old classics.
Me too,and I only use digital radio,I still use records & tapes!! There are still qood radio stations like Capital Gold and Boom out there who play the Sweet too.
In 1975 15 year old's everywhere would crank this song up on their stereo's in their bedrooms driving their parents crazy - I was one of those 15 year olds !
How could you not!?!?!? Back when music was music and times were great!
I was 8 and still remember this .... but took years to really appreciate what these guys were doing !
You right mate ,I was 14 and I agree with you 100%...Sweet for ever!
Hell Yes!!!
In 1975 I was still Quark in the shop window 😂 I was born in 80 and love music. 🫶
But also hardcore 😅
RIP the three members of The Sweet
Brian Connolly (October 5, 1945 - February 9, 1997), aged 51
Mick Tucker (July 17, 1947 - February 14, 2002), aged 54
Steve Priest (February 23, 1948 - June 4, 2020), aged 72
You will be remembered as legends.
Brian hat sich totgesoffen, selber schuld!
Brian drank himself to death, it was his own fault!
😢
R.I.P❤
64 and still love them. And to all the naysayers comparing them to other bands? Sweet were in a category of their own.
58 yrs. old and still loving it!!!!!!!!
53 years old and definitely still loving it 😍😍😍
Me to
58 3 yrs later 😆
Good taste doesn't age out.
He is already 60-61?
Hard to believe that 3 members of the original group are all gone .One of the most underrated rock group in British history .
I wish this was in real time. These guys were fabulous!!!!!! They should be in Rock and Rolll Hall of Fame. Love them!!!!!!!
Yes!
When Elon musk builds a time machine ill pick you up and we will go to this concert together................drinking and smoking mad bluntz,,,,,,,,,,
@@danielmadden1688 When he builds a time machine, he can get in it and disappear.
I think sweet and grand funk should go in hof together.
They do, but sadly only Andy Scott would be around to be honored.
Sweet is without question the most underrated band of the 1970’s. They really just had one great album, “Desolation Boulevard” but it’s one of the best albums of that decade. 👍
Completly wrong comment.
they were 10 years ahead glam rock sweet metal..pop metal great vibe,,,, so cool ,,, Love the sound,,,band,,, iconic,,,,,, raw edge,,,,, not boring .. they had a magic fewe bands ever had......
They weren`t under-rated,they sold 35 MILLION records!!
@@mjh5437
They may have sold 35 million records brother, but compared to there contemporaries (The Who, Queen, Bowie, Led Zeppelin etc)
They are considered just a foot note in that era by Rock historians.
They are considered one of the great “forgotten” bands of that era. I would say that makes them “underrated”
@@danielevans9379 You weren't there then ?
Oh to be young again. If I could I'd return to the 70's & stay there.
Never knew sex like this before. Do you feel like?
hang on im comming with you they were the best times
KIMMI WERTZ WE ALL HATED THE 70’s - IT WAS SO BORING COMPARED TO THE ROARING SIXTIES
You are only as old as you feel. I’m still young decades later. JUST ROCK! BUT, I love the 70s too.
Amen
2023 and still rockin' Sweet! 🤘
Today's music : talking with musical accompaniment.

Great song from one of the most underrated rock albums of the 1970's. Desolation Boulevard.😎👍
1975-76 was my freshman year in high school. This song was always on the radio. So many great memories❤
Mine too !
Class of 1978 !
think he was class of 79...I also was 78@@rudeawakening3833
Steve Priest🫦,,,what a fantastic bassist~singer. Bassists have such great rhythm.
Brian Connolly was just a major talent.....He was unique....I would say he is one of the most interesting and intense lead singers in rock history....I would put him up there with Jaggar and even Elvis as far as being a sweet, natural talent....Connolly was a down to earth dude with a sad past, but despite it all, he was just a tower of energy, charisma and power.
We love Brian!
He had an awesome voice! Just incredible!
This is one of my top ten songs. It doesn't get any better than this.
He was such an amazing talent. That voice!
Beautifully said and I'd say 100% on point. I'd love to see a documentary on his life. Such an intriguing man and I agree he was the best in the business
One of the most underrated bands of all time
Rip brian,mick and steve.god bless.
One of the most underrated bands ever. This takes me back to my childhood. What a great song.
THE BEST BAND EVER

@@davidevans8355 Says you. Sweet have yet to get their full due, and there's only one member left alive should the laughable RRHoF decide, very belatedly, that Sweet finally belong in there. There are generations of younger snots who look down on Sweet as a "mere Glam Rock" band getting most of their hits supplied to them, they choose to ignore the talent of the individual members and the way they inspired the heavy metal and big hair bands that were to come. Sweet evolved and it is pleasing to see comments from people discovering them for the first time on YT, and seeing the talent, rather than how the alternative "comedy" fraternity like to sell it: nothing but platform shoes, bad hair, bad teeth and hairy chests.
We had such awesome bands in the 70’s. Finding Sweet on CZcams, I was so happy. R.I.P. Brian, Mick, and Steve.
BLOODY BRILLIANT BAND, NEVER WAS AND NEVER WILL BE A BETTER BAND.
did they all die
@@paparazzina1 Andy is the only 1 still alive.
70S RULED,
They compliment each other in everyway. Voices and musical instruments. I was in middle school when this came out... still love it today!
Me, too. Still gives me a thrill every time I hear it.
It's called studio production. It's not completely real. You think those voices are real.
@@guitarszenare you talking about the falsetto voices?
josephford92 that other guy acting like falsettos don't exist? ☠
Being 62 years old and loving this song brought me here. Also love Ballroom Blitz.
Boy does this song take me back when I was a young teen. When I hear it on the car radio I blast it up!. I never get tired of it. Probably never will.
Rebecca Rogers true class Rebecca 😎
I was 8 or 9 and I remember this
Same with me that year my family moved to USA English is a new language for me can't understand to much so I listed a lot of radio stations that play music this one of the song I like
Me too. I was 15.
You have good taste lady... Live a long and happy life.... A 70s puppy born 1969.
This is what music is missing raw innocence
Fox on the Run was on Side B of another 45 I bought in 1975. I was blown away!!! I loved the song. I did not know what the group "Sweet" looked like, however, Brian was FOXY AND adorable!!!! They all are actually!!!
Brian Connolly's live vocals are amazing!
This was not live. It was lipsynced.
He was gorgeous and what a voice. Xxxx
Love this song❤
Glam - Rock - Forever .Thank you , Mick ,Andy ,Brian and Steve .The Best .

Yes. They died much too early. They have not been forgotten. RiP sweet Brian and Mick
I have listened to this song a zillion times over and ...I still never get tired of it! I had a serious crush on these guys in those days. Brian Connolly(lead singer) and Steve Priest(bass)were my faves lol. Mick Tucker was an exceptional drummer. Glamrock kings!😍
I put this Song in a list I thought up, " Love Songs only Guys Love " . Oh Oh...curious to ask you what are some other Rock Love Songs that you really Love, too.
Longtime Bassist for The Sweet, Dies at 72 "Rest in peace" Steve Priest, "The Fox Will Run Forever"
From the opening synthesizer swirl to the stomping, riff-heavy verse to the insanely catchy chorus - this is Sweet still in their pomp.
'Fox On The Run' is a dynamic, supercharged record that 47 years on, still has plenty of bite.
One of the most perfect songs on pop history.

My, what a pretty group they were. I loved this song as a teenager, and still do. Great song, great band, great fun.
Sweet in the Hall of Fame!!!!😀❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This was my beginning with Real Rock n roll! Awesome!!
Sweet - for me the best band ever. A good decade to have fantastic music. Many other music groups of the 70s have also released great songs: Slade, S.Quadro, Mud, St.Quo, P.Floyd, L.Zeppelin, D.Purple, T.Rex, A.Cooper, U.Heep ...
They ware the good days
Few lead singers had the fire, the passion and the talent of Brian Connolly. He put his heart and soul into every not and song....
And also enjoy himself i love to see Brian Smile and Dancing
This was my teenage dream band at the time, (1975) before I was even a teen... "🐺 on the Run"....
Brian so fabulous and handsome 😃❤
It makes me want to go back in time good old days
I enjoyed listening to this song. This song will be heard from one generation to another.

My best group from the 70s and I'm gutted that this sweet will never be again
Legendary band of the 70s pure magic
They were one of the most popular bands when I was a teenage. They gave me a rebellious outlet. Great band!
And Slade, there was a rivalry between their fans.
Mick is one of the first drummers that when I was a kid he made me want to play drums ALL the time...still a drummer at 53.
Yet you can't find him on any list of "Greatest Rock Drummers." What crying shame he never got the recognition he deserved.
I swear Mick is so fantastic he makes ME want to drum, and I'm 58 and never even done it before! He's that good and a huge influence.
💯
It has been almost 20 years since Brian Connolly's death. I want to pay a tribute here and say I loved him in this band. I was born in the 70's and grew up listening to this band. Brian you were an Angel here on Earth and now you are an Angel in Heaven.
Daphne Dedrick a brilliant singer Daphne very sadly missed 😧
Yes
I couldn't agree more Daphne
Let's just hope there's no alcohol or drugs in heaven
It's going to be 23 years since we lost one of the greatest and most talented singers of all time. Miss you Brian. Love- A fan of yours P.S. you're awesome
The amazibg vocals of Brian and the high harmonies of the rest . Plus Steve's cool vocals as well.
Memories of the roller rink, pinball and the cool, free 70s

The Sweet forever !!!! Yeah!!!
RIP Steve Priest
I love this band !
this was a big hit in 75, we use to hear it at the skate rink when i was a kid, looking back at their music, i think they were ahead of their time, the band was a trend setter for other rock bands, Andy Scott had lots of great guitar riffs, i still hear in other bands songs. i think they were the first glam rock , heavy metal band. and they blazed a trail for hard rock. THANKS.... to THE SWEET !!! you will live for ever,,,
I knew I heard this song somewhere . It was at the skating rink when I was a kid . Thank :)
@@DSpeir-pi6tm Me too! They used to play this song for speed skating. Fun times!

and begins to dance/perform for all the guys,
so it was quite the experience, Wyatts sister it was.

A work collegue of mine befriended Brian in Brians local towards the end of his life and would spend hours chatting and drinking....a smashing guy with tales to tell R.I.P.
This band had truly the most amazing singing by each member. Gold standard on vocals.
Missed Brian and Mick so much. The whole band was very stunning.
Love it look at the dress sense total glam rock summed up by sweet Brian such a great frontman who could sing
Never gets old. And, got to love the platforms. Wish they would make a comeback. People would ask how we could walk in them and we would explain how much more comfortable they were than high heels---less incline from front to back. I must have had a dozen pairs.
