Jim Benning has really come into his own as a GM in the last couple years. He's improved a lot over his time as GM, and since the start of the 2018-2019 season, he's made a lot of awesome moves. This was one of them.

Miller has been a revelation for the team and a strong mentor to the young core.
This guys got a lot of compete in him. Just what this team needed, his work ethic and drive is contagious in the locker room and on the ice I’m sure. I’m glad he’s here. I have a great feeling about this group.

What a great trade watch his mic'ed up traing camp.
People criticized the trade saying we gave up too much. But we got a point per game guy that fits perfectly atop our lineup and at 4 years on his team friendly deal, other teams couldnt find that value at that price now if they tried
One of the best trades in recent years. We gave up a first but got a fantastic player for it. JT Miller was one of the reasons why watching the Canucks this season has been so fun and refreshing. I want to see what the Canucks are capable of with the lotto line back and Toffoli on the 2nd line with Bo and Pearson, even though I have a feeling Toffoli is saying goodbye for next season. Really miss watching hockey now.

Doesn't matter honestly. As long as he continues to be the play driver he was he will continue to be an amazing player.
