Very clean setup, I like the near stock appearance, open trailer, and cool truck to pull them. Great performance out of small cubes!
V6 Performance is awesome. When I go out to the track and there's all the v8 guys it's like, oh look, another V8, another 12 second run...hey look another v8, another fast run...it gets boring. When me in my friend run our V6's down people are like, WHAT? That's a V6? DANG that thing is quick! SO what if it doesn't have hp to cash gain, you're making a freakin 3.8L run 12's!!!!!

Thank you!!! We got believers here. I own a V6 as well because my parents didn't want me having a V8 because one too much power and two bad fuel mpg. The worst out of this its an automatic so its even slower, but the price for the car was hard to pass only 3 grand lol

I also have a v6 Mustang (1997 3.8L) but different mods and it now sounds like a GT but it doesn't run 12's..

The thing comes out the gates pretty damn strong for a stock clutch on slicks.

my uncles 5.0 on a 100 shot runs 12.5s on drag radials so your car is doing pretty damn good! :D keep it up, gotta love the underdog

Not bad at all, don't see too many guys putting a new edge V6 in the 12s with stock bore internals, cams, etc. Running low 12s right now on regular street tires, but I do have 2 more cylinders and a blower.

where I live thats all people have they get civics,cavaliers and put spoilers on them,loud exhaust and act like theyre race cars,get something no one would expect to be fast,like a Lumina,they look big but theyre very light and cheap to mod,if you get a base model,rip out the 3.1 and get a supercharged 3.8 for around $1500 get these 35 hp chips,15 hp intake,and 5 hp exhaust on ebay all for like $290 get headers and stuff,eibach springs,you'd have like a 350 hp sleeper for under $10,000.

me and my dad just started working on this so far we put in underglow new led head lights and rearlights also a new full body kit and with the engine we just got new headers not much

after the first race u give a list of mods is it all stock or is it just a stock block. gorgeous car btw. im in the process of buildin mine but im gonna put M112 cobra superchager on mine since i found the conversion kit to make it fit and spray a 75 shot

I had a modded v6 (no power adder), and 01 Cobra, a 2000 GT, and right now I got a FULL bolt on/cam/heads 95 5.0 but looking at this makes me wanna get another 6banger but put more into it. Ive seen alot of people doing the M112 set up. Seems pretty sweet. What new setup are you on right now?

@punypony Thats cool I really want another one lol I also had a GTP with ported s/c all bolt ons/cammed but with stock mufflers so it was quiet ;) I love sleepers. But I also love the loud v8s haha Im caught in between. Im 22 but ive already had 8 different cars hahaha Cant seem to make my mind up
Mine fills up with about 40 bucks. And that's also good for about a week, depending on how much I travel during the week, and how I drive.

im planning to do a rear end swap on my v6, did u just get the 8:8 differential from a GT same model?? or where did u get it from n did it bolt right up or did u have to make adjustments , sorry for all the questions n thanks in advance =)

hell yeah I own a 01 v6 stang with ram air induction and duels with a tuner chip there isn't not one import car that can beat me..5.0 owners don't think that the 3.8 engine cant compete with you're stang cuz it can :D
@punypony Ohhh one more thing. The NOS system you have do you have the one that has the NMU or with just typical button spray?
@MrSiscub I'm not really sure how much of a gain you will get from that but it should be somewhere around that. Usually when you start to change all that and forging pistons it's for the car to handle more power. To answer your question though, I'm not positive but I can see where you can gain that much HP.

Would have helped your 60' too... How much did your car weigh on that run? I've got a supercoupe 3.8 in my "fox body" and I'm looking to be this fast with minimal mods. That and I'm a fan of how your car sounds :D
you would be correct. he put a D1SC procharger on it 2 years ago. he got a tune in it and then blew his head gaskets on the dyno at the car craft summer nats in minneapolis last summer. we fixed the car at the show and drove it home... He was horsing on it one night after bar close and blew it up at about 130 mph. i dont think it cooked a piston, we pulled the oil pan and no aluminum shit. So i think it broke a ring land in the piston. high compr not designed for boost...
What do you have modified to the chassis on this 'Stang? Seemed to have a lot of flex on the launch. Were you running the stock struts and shocks as well?
How long were you running the spray and did you have detonation?
Was this a daily driver as well or just track car?
I have a 94 3.8 shit it's not to bad stock. Only mod is H duals Wish I could come up with the three grand for the summit charger. Any sugestions on a budget other than a cold air?

but yes, a beefed v6 (everything done to it) plus a turbo is pushing over 500HP but he blew the engine before tracking lol
I think he had to much boost but now I plain on a turbo with all the internals needed but I'm only hopping for that much HP
i saw your new set up and was wondering if you were planning on selling your old zex nitrous kit.
Im just wondering if the motor or rear end is blown yet?? I blew my 03 gt motor with a 75 shot over 2 years time. Slicks on a 7.5 rear end is crazy. Good luck though.

but hey, i've got a 2000 V6 5speed with full boltons and a 75wet shot and i ran a 8.79@80.21 with a 1.8 60' . im interested in what your launch rpm is, and what your 60ft is.
How much weight removal was done?I want to pretty much copy your mods but do a Windstar Intake Cams and Direct Port NX Kit but dont want to have to do too much weight removal.

I think we will be seeing a lot more v6 mustangs at the track with the 2011 model v6's.
@MrSiscub You need to do a split port swap. It's the heads, upper and lower intake. Google "V6 mustang split port swap"
@punypony Yea Ive had an 01 Cobra and those things are powerful as hell. All i had on it was LTs, CAI, UDPs, TB, Gears and aluminum headsd and that thing HAULLED lol I really wanna a stroked 4.6 (5.0) though. Idk why haha Ive got a sn95 5.0 but still want a 99-04 5.0 :) I heard somewhere that the 6 bangers had the same concept as the buick so the 6 banger Mustang was basically meant to handle boost like a G. How true is that?

hey how did the pulleys help because i just ran mine this past Friday and went a 14.9 but had a worst time of 15.1 and want something to keep me going in the 14's consecutively. thanks,

well if you got a lumina and put a 3800 in it,it would be really easy to mod,with all of the superchargers out for them.theres a vid on here of a 3800 grand prix running a 9 sec 1/4 mile.but I just love sleepers like that.

@atomickilla do you know if i were to put 99-04 heads on a 98 v6 mustang, would it add about 50 horsepower? i heard that somewhere but im not too sure if thats true.

I'm currently putting a turbo on my v6,i have full exhaust,4.10s, ported heads, ported Intake,39lbs injectors, and jmod, i'm sure i'm gonna break my rear end soon
