- World of Warcraft Dragonflight will offer quite a lot of endgame activities once you reach level 70, but the difference this time is that a lot of it is optional, and there's a lot more out in the world activtities you can take part in, that aren't tied to player power. This is a nice change of pace from other expansions, where as borrowed power has led to us farming things like anima or artifact power, and systems like Torghast, thankfully, don't currently exist in dragonflight endgame, but do you think this is a good thing? Share your thoughts in the comments!

I didn’t mind the soul ash I just don’t like have to re unlock the floors on alts and it being time gated, should be able to get right back up to speed Woth everyone else instead of being capped weekly so you could just grind it out in a day
All these changes in systems and theories around how the game can be played (especially for casual players) marks quite a turning point compared to previous expansions. I'll have to experience each of these activities to get a grip on whether they are fun to do, but I'm liking the change in philosophy and the renewed focus on core WoW mechanics.
yeah its a no for me its is really boring at end game but that has always been a problem with wow. i will probably wait for them to unlock flying if they do because while dragon riding is fast and all i would like to go back to normal flying where i don't have to hit a button ever few seconds to stay in flight.
Hey guys, so.. there is genuinely a tonne of things you can do at endgame in Dragonflight, I havent mentioned them all in this video too, so you can discover some stuff yourself, but it does feel nice to have lots of options of content to do without feeling like you HAVE to do them, but what do you think? p.s. one thing which I think is going to be a lot of fun are the multiplayer dragon riding races that you can see footage of at the end of the video, could be cool to do some tournaments and set up some races for gold or other prizes!

This is great for me, im going to be traveling all of December and with no power grind ill only have to catch up in gear. So happy ill actually play instead of not
I couldn’t play an MMO if I had to just stick to one class. I’m glad they made it a lot easier to have alts now. I’d like to keep up 3 or 4 specs if I can. That was tough in Shadowlands
Absolutely! Yeah shadowlands was horrible for alts, so glad to see them crappy systems go away

Hated leveling just him in expansions let alone multiple chars
To try and keep up, I completed every single side quest I saw as I went through the main story, and I just finished the main story and a ton more unlocked and now I feel like ugh lol. They're not bad, but I'm still mainly excited to look at endgame, and gearing, and hopefully level some alts and not be too burnt out on the questing since I did it this way 😅 great video and very to the point, since I just finished the story and so much unlocked I knew I needed a vid/guide just like this! (I bought df a good bit later than everyone else, so I have a lot of catch-up to do 🥲 thought it was a good expac to not feel behind, but because I couldn't afford it until this past week I feel so behind and missed out on making any gold.)
You can actually get the BoP dragon riding customizations from the new work order system from what I’ve seen!

I'm excited bc I have a full time job and kids like alot of other wow players but I'll be able to compete with pvp gear easier and stay somewhat caught up. In sl I barely had time to play and would get waxed by ppl way more geared than me all the time lol
I cant belive im saying this but. Im actually hyped about DF. It seems like such a chill game. That's what wow needs right now.
Honestly, in a entertainment industry that has been catering to the sweatiest of players for 3-4 years now... something chill and relaxing to pick up after a long 40 hour work week is something im 100% looking forward to.

I am still on the fence if I want to engage with raids/mythic plus this expansion. I took two expansions off from it. And some parts of it I miss, but some of it I don't. Glad that there will be fun stuff to do in the open world.

If there really is no borrowed power, then I can finally invest my time into my alts as well and focus on growing my professions. This will give me a whole lot of freedom.
yeah there is no borrowed power though that was never a problem for me in the past accept for with legion it was why to crazy then. though with bfa and shadowlands i didn't really have an issue keeping up. though like with every expansion their is no flying other then dragon flying and that was way overrated and i will again wait until they unlock normal flying if they do to play again.

@@Anttown123 i mean the only expansion i had a problem keeping up with the borrowed power was legion after that i was able to run four or five toons no problem. and my last remark was dragon flying is trash. does that clear it up for you.

World quests unlock at the completion of the main story questline
Seems they have made a lot of changes more catered to people who like to play solo or in small groups, maybe to pull some of those people playing stuff like ESO and GW2 back? It looks interesting. I haven't played seriously since WotLK, though I bought every expansion except for Shadowlands and at least tried to like it.

Seems Blizzard wants to do stuff with Archeology later on for DF, but not for launch, as they wanted to focus on the current professions. Hoping for some digging world quests across the isles tbh.
Yeah the Dragonscale expedition faction is literally perfect for an archaeology theme too, shame they’ve done nothing with it but hopefully at some point they will

Yeah gonna be interesting, think it’s had a lot of tweaks already on beta which I guess we can expect really, we shall see how it goes!
Biggest problem with Torghast was that it was mandatory. Seems like they learned from that failure and now they allow players to play at their pace.
At the same time, "serious" M. Raiders/M+ pushers won't have to do that open world content if they don't like it, so they won't cry about how they feel "forced" to do these things. This is shaping up to be an awesome expansion.

Seems to be a lack of new content archetype akin to island expeditions or torghast for example.
Yeah there is, with both of those things there was a need to do them to keep progressing, so because we’ve got no borrowed power there’s also no grindy system attached to it that we need to farm for to ‘keep up’. With that said though, there’s plenty of other things to do which you won’t feel pressured to do, definitely things you can fill your time with if you want to, with other types of rewards :)

There should be a teleport like there was for the old ones in SL, I think I did stumble across it on the Beta the other day actually! .. was looking for something else at the time so didn’t pay full attention to it, but I’m sure I remember seeing it and being pleased about it

Possibly mate but I think it probably most likely won’t, as with any other current dragon mounts, I think they’ll either add more actual dragon riding mounts down the line, or add more ‘full customisation’ options

Aye you’re probably right mate, I think the only decent thing really about borrowed power systems, they usually bring something that people feel they need to work towards or keep up with, such as azerite power, so it keeps them playing for that, builds habits and all that.. I do wish we could see the actual player numbers and see how they change at launch and the weeks/months afterwards
Didnt work very well in Shadowlands, so many quit that expansion
So there is nothing raid relevant to do except gear farming? All the events, renown etc. are just things for cosmetic items, mounts, achievements (for collectors)

@@userunknown1030 100% serious. Why? Becuase of the speed. Normal flying is far far far far far far tooooo slow. And dragon flying does provide some interactivity when getting around the world, which is great. My only complaint is that it kind of makes mount collecting obsolete. So it's not a perfect solution, but I do think blizzard deserves credit where credit is due.

I mean yeah, but there are 3 mounts to get. The Spirit of Eche’ro was what got me into Archaeology. I spent my morning in Highmountain while the quest was up farming for the mount. So much fun. Archaeology is really fun once you get into it. They haven’t done anything with it in a while, but it’s fun to play around with what it has to offer at the moment. Be sure to check for the Spirit of Eche’ro quest in 3 months or so :) Enjoy it :)

Hey mate, I don’t think Dragonflight will be discounted for a long time yet, unless you can find it cheap from another supplier by buying a code or something, I’d imagine it would be at least 6 months to a year before it comes down in price in most places but I don’t know for sure
Not sure. I keep hearing, takes a lot of time, meaning, the game is designed so that you have to play, and subscribe continuously, to complete upgrades. I tend to play every three to six months for one month maximum. So, I get the feeling my options are get a years sub or just don't play.
It’s a subscription mmo game, obviously it is designed to never have a finite finishing point but since there’s no maintenance system, it’s very feasible to just play at the start of each patch until you get bored then unsub until the next patch with new content

You gear upp do raids and after all that you farm make money get pets get mounts get achevments and get transmogs and if ur really bored join a rp server look for some erp maybe join some of them there are allot you can do the problem is that people cant think for themselfs nowadays...sadly...if ur one of them get a wife she will always tell you what to do...lol

As a key pusher/mythic raider, not having a AP grind/Korthia/Zereth rep grind for power is going to make my time in game a lot more enjoyable so Im spending more time doing what I CHOOSE to do and not what I HAVE to do.

I'm so sad that they add the 4 extra dungeons for M+ instantly. I'd like to enjoy the 8 DF dungeons first on M+ and as thing start getting repetetive they could switch in the other 4.
The main problem they are trying to solve is that they don't want to have dungeons people haven't practiced competing against dungeons people have practiced for the past 6 months, because the new dungeons get wildly underplayed compared to the ones people know everything about.
The only way they can avoid that while giving us 8 DF dungeons in S1 is to have zero DF dungeons in S2 (or maybe 1-2 new ones at best). That's not better IMO.

They were talking about Archeology and that it needs a bigger rework.
If we get an 11.0 revamp - An Archeology revamp would be perfect for that release.
Yes, give us fewer dungeons so we don't get bored so we can do dungeons many of us have done for years and have gotten bored of already instead 😒. Hopefully, implemented won't be as bad as it sounds. 😔

@@riddert4966 not really that is kind how i do it. its is an mmo after there is no real end goal other then you player level so if you make it to cap that is kind of it i know there is gear and dungeon and all that but honestly they don't really matter once a new xpac comes out.
end game - log in, fly around/stand around to queue. Play a game or two then log off for 2 months. repeat

the fact that people seem to only want to do things is it gies them something and that grinding isnt something people seems to want to do, i think there are going to be a lot of people unhappy with wht there is to do. but to be fair, they would be angry if there was too much to do, so its not that surprising.
yeah i reached level 70 and i am going to be off the game until they unlock normal flying if they do. that is the only thing i care about. this dragon riding thing is crap and overrated. i will say it is faster but that is all it really has going for it though.

Yes cuz leveling in wow is a very small part of the game now. You are at max level in a couple of hours and everything you can do then is considered Endgame.

Really worried this is WOD 2.0 with nothing to do. Those who are excited for that forgot how that xpac killed off the player base. 8 dungeons and a raid isn’t enough to keep subscribers just like WOD.

why are people concerned with what to do when the game isn't even out yet. not having borrowed power is better cause then you can actually grind tmogs, do bgs, m+, raid, level alts, PLAY THE GAME. rather than spend your time grinding borrowed power BS.

All I wanted from the new expansion was for them to remove all the bs and focus on letting us enjoy the main 3 pillars of the game (Raids, Dungeons, and PvP) on every character we want to play.
That and some fun side activities out in the world that can serve as a nice break from the other stuff.
Oh and look here, that’s exactly what we got. I’m satisfied.
Yeah "serious" Mythic Raiders, M+ munchkins and "hardcore" PvPers are the worst crybabies in WoW.

People who thinks they HAD to do things like grind AP, or run nonstop M+ to monmax gear, are the people who miss the whole point of MMOs. It's about getting lost in the world in the story, in the gameplay. Not burning yourself out, grinding. Do the content you WANT to do, not what you perceive you need to do. If you're a raider, all you need is your guilds requires iLvl, not the HIGHEST iLvl possible, even for Mythic Raiders. The ONLY people who NEED to do all that extra grinding are people who are legitimate contenders for World First races, which is realistically less than 100 out of the millions of players in the world. Now stop whining, and be grateful there's no infinite grind anymore.
i didn't mind the infinite grind at least it gave you something to focus on. now it is just do what ever it really doesn't matter. you don't have to touch anything like raiding or mythic plus or even pvp. none of it matters just like it always been lol. the thing they sold this game on was dragon riding and that system sucks who thought lets make riding class and give it a 4 button rotation and once you run out of energy you land lol. its the dumbest shit i have seen yet people swear by it.

Step 2: Raid/M+/PVP
Step 3: Work on Alts
Step 4: profit
A Return to form, WoW so desperately needs.
yeah that profit part actually seems more gutted this time around then before but then i was never to good at making gold in this game. didn't do to bad in SL made enough to get the expansion and couple of wow tokens i will be saving for if they ever put normal flying into the expansion the dragon flying was why overrated its fast don't get me wrong its just a crap system.
man they need to refocus their stuff, we don't want 10 000 quests to do, we want different activities. FFS, this will be a quest grind fest again.

When do mythic 0s open? On launch? Or after 2 weeks ?
Based on all prior expansions, they open on launch but don't reset with the first lockout so you don't need to rush to get them done in the first 1-2 days.

Got to 70 in 8 hours Havent tanked for years honestly it was boring as heck trust me i was holding down w and 1 pulling the entire dungeons first time. I was planning on soloing mythics as a blood dk but honestly im just going to quit while im ahead ggz downloading soulstone survivors

Do the same thing we do every expansion. Get gear play pvp. Dungeons and raids are for lvling and thats it. Why would anyone waste time doing dungeons and raids after lvl 70? Why do people think any of them take skill when addons tell ypu everything and everyone knows the whole raid and dungeon vefore ever entering? Same as always get gear. That simple and look how i did it without a vid
