Great guide, thank you. Follower dungeons drop everything a normal dungeon drops btw. And for trying out new classes and specs are fantastic. Don't expect them to play perfectly, nobody does AI or not, but for the most part they are quite competent, and extremely non-toxic.
its actually crazy how much of WoW's content I don`t even interact with anymore. Like bare min story and first two weeks of weekly world gear then straight into raid and m+ with my guild. Ive just auto pioleted gearing my main 3 characters since legion and adjusted for the incramental system changes. Kinda insane how daunting this much info could be to new people considering this is an overview of just endgame gear giving content. Not to mention pvp, transmog, or pet battles. Great vid.
Yeah, the game is "easier" the first patch of an expansion, when everyone is on the same gear level and discover things together. The further we are in an expansion, the discrepancy grows. That's why I keep telling people to just enjoy the game rather than just jump into "what they're supposed to do"

I started a month ago and just got to level 70 a couple days ago, and was pretty frustrated that the game didnt tell me what to do next haha. So this guide came at the perfect time!
You very briefly mention it, but I think you're greatly undervaluing crafting in this video. As a fresh 70 the best thing you can do is get familiar with the crafting system and crafting orders (you don't need a crafting profession to do this if you use crafting orders). Doing the Emerald Dream weeklies, world boss, and LFR will give players Sparks of Dreams they can use to craft 463 ilvl gear - pretty good, but in addition to this by doing the entire Emerald Dream questline and doing the raid quest at the end of it players will get an Enchanted Wyrm's Dreaming Crest which you can use to empower crafted items up to 476. This is massive. Normally you can only get Wyrm's crests by doing +11-15 keys or the Heroic raid, which a fresh 70 is not likely going to do anytime soon. Now this quest is only a one time thing, but every week from the vault if the player checks at least 3 boxes they can also get six Aspect's Tokens of Merit. Using these tokens a player can exchange them at the NPC next to the vault for 45 Wyrm's crests, exactly the number you need to purchase a Nascent Wyrm's Dreaming Crest which you can turn into the Enchanted Crest to craft another 476 piece. The only downside to crafted gear is you can't turn it into tier at the catalyst. So you'll have to get lucky from dungeons/raids/weeklies to get those.
Yeah, it's more of a dealer's choice what everyone chooses to do. I didn't insist on professions as it would require an entire guide on how those work themselves (and I don't currently have one if those out), and while I consider proffessions an important part of the gearing process, I also believe that they are not the fastest for someone who just dinged. You need sparks first of all for any decent ilvl for this patch, and those take 250 flightstones to be created, after already having the actual item, which takes some time and farming, meanwhile, the same flightstones can be used to already upgrade gear that you may or may not have gotten from other content, for free, as crafting also costs some gold which not all players have. For the highest item level items, you would need 60 aspect crests, which means 6 +16 dungeons timed, again not something a new, undergeared player can easily do if he doesn't get carried a little bit, especially if we refer to those who just dinged recently. Again, I consider professions important, even vital due to the embellishments, but I don't consider them to be the fastest or cheapest gearing track for a new player, which is why I didn't insist on it..
@@SunshadeWoW The reason I value crafting so highly is because the 476 pieces are going to last players a long time. Especially in the case where the 486 ilvl crafted item is BiS the 476 will last you until then. Crafting isn't the fastest way to immediately boost your ilvl in all your slots, but it's definitely the best way to get meaningful items early on.

Simming is mentioned there for those who want to improve and min max their characters. I feel like not mentioning it would be a mistake and it would skip an important part of how players can improve themselves and give themselves a better chance to get invited to more difficult content. If nobody tells the beginners about these things, who will? It's briefly mentioned either way, I would do it in every guide if needed...
why put yourself through M+ grinding? whats the point? in a month your gear will be weaker than a newly maxed toon in a new Xpac with nothing but green quest reward gear. WHY??! -12y wow vet
Well, I myself like doing M+, so it's not "putting myself through it", I am sure others also enjoy it. Also, the guide is not only meant for this patch specifically, with some minor changes, it works for the whole expansion or even further on ^^ Some people said it helped, so I guess it depends per person what they like to do when they get to 70...
I dont think you really thought about your comment 😂 I dont think people play m+ for the gear.. They want to improve and increase raiderio. Theres endless room to improve.

followers are incapable of doing mechanics, so there are dungeon bosses they literally cannot complete. Its frustrating.
I agree. That followed dungeon I did will probably be the last one as well unless things change...
