Before the Cataclysm, The Great Empire use to occupy Ashfeld. Many survivors of the Cataclysm stayed in Ashfeld and eventually created the Iron legion, but some migrated west of Ashfeld and reformed the Empire while keeping their orginal culture. Apollyon eventually made contact with the remnants of the Empire and formed an alliance.

Not only do they have interesting lore, they definitely also have some of the best looks. Great theory and video, I never thought about another faction we haven’t seen. But very plausible since the Wu Lin came outta nowhere too lol

Thanks Claudio..note this is just my take on it. I suspect they are from an allied faction with ancient Roman ties. Its just my way of trying to make sense of it.

But the knights in this game don’t believe in Christ, they worship the old Greco/Roman Gods, I believe they went with that so that Non-Christians wouldn’t be offended, that or since this world went through a cataclysm, it might’ve been because of the Gods...

Apollo once said the knights were once part of a greater empire (basically rome). Im guessing that centurions were the higher tier of warriors in the empires while the knights were lower. That also explains all the roman inspired customizations.

They are both very fun tbh, I think Roman looks cooler, but gladiator is easier to play. They are both very similar in many ways. I recommend playing hero tactics to see which one you like more.
