Get this guy in touch with the entire Cubs roster
and the mariners lol
@@vyvancing8606 Didn't realize Rodriguez had dropped off so much. Or Suarez. That blows
nah the a’s need this guy more than a new stadium
You jinxed it, thank you
And the Red Sox too
It’s funny how the haters disappear when there is a video out talking about him knowing his stuff lol
By hater do you mean people skeptical about a guy that ignores half a swing motion? If so then yeah we are still here.
@@codythomas52 mind staying which half of the motion you were referring to?
Normal people would have stated which motion he is ignoring rather than just saying “half”.
Gives you a lot more credibility. Just sayin
@Raging Japaneeet I love the snide remark, if you need for me to explain to you how batting isn't simply a twist of the wrists and coil of the hip, then ibdont need to waste my time on you, go with teacher fraud and pop up the ball a ton. I really don't care.
@@codythomas52 thanks for proving my point. You can’t explain what the other half is. You mentioned the half that teacher said. What’s the other two that’s missing? Should have typed that out if you had time to repeat the teacher lol
You’re nothing as a batter if you suck at adjusting the timing. But that is not a mechanical issue when it comes to making contact with a pitch. You’re time ain’t nothing if you’re on CZcams. Keep wasting them lmao
These haters really just be hating to hate without anything to back them up lol
Why are people talking back when they haven’t saved a major leaguer’s Career? Makes zero sense lol
This man. This really shows what a dad will do for his son. And unknowingly became the best hitting coach in the sport.
It's really game changer and eye opener. Like there is one myth that only players have a license to teach. But don't u can study and can do wonder in hitting like Richard.
It seems like he did it because he wanted to, his kids are barely even mentioned. Doesn't seem like they cared about baseball all that much
I went from never throwing a football in my life, to my teenage boys telling me I should QB for flag teams. Just like him. I studied and studied and studied qb mechanics to teach my kids. And unintentionally got good myself.
@@Dadbot Really inspiring Mate. So did you become coach then or just pursued as hobby?
💯
Baseball dads are the craziest, but his crazy is the good crazy.
Yep, no anger, no abuse, just plain old dedication to making your kid a better athlete.
Thank you Barry u paved the way
With a little help from some friends...
"if your good at something, don't do it for Free.." -Joker
he really is the GOAT hitting coach
Reminds me of my dad and how he filmed every game I had, charted where every opposing player would hit when facing our pitchers, then sent all the data to the coaches. He had so much info on players especially the hitting trends of other teams and where their defensive weaknesses were. This when I was in little league thru high school
Your Dad's awesome
What an inspiration and Awesome Dad !
The amount of power your hips can generate is insane. Just have to get the mechanics down perfect. This guy seemed to have cracked the code.
Dads are just the fucking best
I never thought of videoing the swing when teaching my sons. Taught my boys the same swing path.
Winner. Awesome story.
Thanks Barry!!
The greatest Hitting coach ever!! 😊
Thank you Bonds is the 🐐!!
Hitting Coach copies Barry Bonds bat swing... Cooperstown (and bitter fans) still saying Bonds ONLY hit homeruns because of steroids 😂😂😂
Absolutely nobody says that. Steroids taints your career beyond repair though for the Hall. Everyone knows Bonds was an outstanding player before steroids too.
Hell yea man, you’re beating that straw man’s ass!
I don’t think anyone says Bonds would’ve hit zero homers without the juice…
Mark Maguire was good before steroids too.
@badcornflakes6374 facts!! I enjoyed watching Mark Maguire and Jose Canseco at Oakland A's as a kid in the 90s!
Yeah roids just helped Barry go from a 40 HR a year guy to being a 60+ HR guy. Just gave him more strength and recovery time. His skills are why he was good.
This is the same thing that actually happens in the golf swing. But most amateurs start pulling the club from the top down right away (an arms swing). The correct move is to let the club handle, hands, and arms drop down into the slot first from the top. Then, unwind the hips and drive off the right foot and let the club whip down through the impact zone! Doing this added 15 yards to my drive and also straightened out my shots.
Pft I can't hit the ball at all
When he has a story on him, you can't doubt the method!
A news story proves you’re legit! Irrefutable
@@bobs8005well Aaron judge himself trains under him often so I won't doubt the guy much, he certainly is teaching some good stuff
What an awesome story
To hear teacherman mimicked Bonds makes me so happy. I was just thinking how great Bonds was watching Teacherman videos and low and behold, they're connected
Not a coach but I’ve witnessed guys have their “ahha” moments & it’s awesome
Congrats. Great AMERICAN STORY !
Ken Griffey Jr. and Mike Schmidt had the best swing I’ve ever seen. Check them out.
This is amazing
"It was two and a half years studying Barry Bonds"
_injects_ _"vitamins"_
And then my boys were crushing _injects_ _"vitamins"_ bombs.
What a great "A-HA" moment
Dude knows his shit.
Hello Richard. You studied Bonds and he was notoriously known for choking up. How does that effect bat speed and barrel percentage?
Off subject but...I ran into Bonds at a CVS in Hollywood after he had retired. He was fricken' huge!
Shorter and lighter could mean you find the barrel a bit more but it will lead to a decrease in how hard those barreled balls are actually hit if that makes sense. It’s all about the player, a bat that’s too heavy or too light is gonna have negative effects on how hard you hit balls and how much contact you make. Tony Gwynn used shorter and lighter bats his hole career because he had better barrel control and was more concerned with hitting for average instead of power
saw a bonds interview somewhere and he said it was because he kept getting jammed when holding the bat all the way. Choking up helped bonds get jammed up less
Just a father being a dad. Never knew how he got into perfecting swinging bat. Cool story
You know how crazy his wife "thought" he was in 2004😂
San Diego Padres hitters could really benefit from you being their hitting coach! Please help!
Lmao 😂..wym thats a good team
Their record says different.
I can tell you who he is and you can go to FOLLOW THE FANCHERS and see for yourself. He is a awesome guy, not sure if anybody takes as much time to TEACH as Mr Richard does with his students. All most people see is what’s on social media and refuse to know the real person. Most need to get a life and learn instead of being so closed minded.
I need this man in Houston ASAP
The astros are doing just fine what are you talking about?
@@Sly253 Not while Alvarez is injured 😢
See!!!! Seeeee!!! BB is the greatest!!!!
Legend ❤ imagine what this guy could’ve done in his own hay day with these techniques. I guess Barry did have the perfect swing as they say.
Get your kids ata young age to this guy to teach them the fundamentals of this new concept of the baseball Swing!!! Start them when they are young
Rookie of the year and MVP* in 2017
Judge worked with rich in the off-season in 2016 and he said he took 3 swings said he was going to hit 50 homeruns. That's exactly what he did
He’ll hit more when pitchers would pitch to him
This is why we love baseball
Barry 72 dingers Bonds
92 if he played in Atlanta
the launching pad
Or cincinatti or NY maybe 100😂
🧃🧃🧃
Awesome bro
Also helps when you know what pitch is coming
Yes, you didn’t account for wind because Aaron Judge home run didn’t get out of the park at minute maid stadium
I HATED Barry Bonds when I was in high school watching him chase down Big Mac’s single season record… But as I got older I grew to appreciate how good of a god damn hitter he was… The whole league hated Barry no one wanted him to get the record, he was lucky to see 2-3 good pitches a night and despite that he was still crushing the ball… yeah steroids made him huge same for Big Mac but the roids don’t hit the home runs… u can have all the power in the world but if you are a shitty hitter your not gonna see anything close to those results… BB, Big Mac, Sammy Sosa, A Rod, and many more guys from the steroid era need to be let into the HOF… History will always link them to PED’s but it shouldn’t completely destroy what they accomplished…
Given what MLB has done to their game in the form of new rules the records books are all gonna be f*cked moving forward. Might as well just lump everyone into it
Well, if he wasn't a complete douschebag off the field and didn't use steroids, he'd probably have been liked more
@Your Mom if you think bonds was a “contact hitter “ before roids you’re an idiot. You’ve completely discredited your baseball knowledge.
They should just give the greenlight for them. Like Marijuana. Let's see some offense!!!
Dam they gave David some t Rex arms...wtf
that angle did bro dirty
Good choice, cause bonds even before the sauce cause Bonds had one of the most compact, smooth, efficient swings ever.
Please, I have a question. Which of the two arms exerts more force in the swing?
For a righty it would be your right arm opposite for lefties
Then judge wins mvp last year.. that’s amazing
❤
The GOAT💯
Please go to Milwaukee and save the Brewers.
Can they get to a fastaball up and in tho?
Why would they want to hit an up and in fastball? That is a pitcher's brushback pitch or swing and miss pitch.
Look at judge’s highlight? You’re already on youtube
Now thats cool
Goat... let us kno more
559 area code up on that 😮
What is the Best drill to stop being super early and hitting ground balls to 3rd or shortstop ?
Keep your hands back let the ball travel
Sounds like rolling over to me. Look up drills to help prevent rolling the wrists over😊
I have a question. I’ve been struggling identifying balls and strikes before it’s too late, what can I do to fix it?
Rotate your head so that your face is looking almost square at the pitcher (kind of like Ken Griffey) also time your stride better. That one is harder to explain so try to look up some videos on that. If you already do that and it isn’t working, I would say study the pitcher your facing before the game, and try to pick up on where his arm slot is for each pitch.
Swing harder
Don't stride, don't swing hard. The starting point for proper pitch identification is a stable sightline; which means keeping your head as still as possible.
A short stride (or simply lifting your front foot and putting it back down as a timing mechanism) are the starting points. If you can manage your center of gravity effectively in your mechanics and make your mechanics as short and direct as possible to the ball, you can wait fractions of a second longer on your swing decisions.
@ShiroiKiba Ex minor leaguer here. That sounds like great advice. I was just a pitcher, but I never struck out. Kept my stride as short as possible.
Played in college. Biggest suggestion that nobody has said that is the BEST thing, is play catch with your buddy and have them mix between curves and fastballs and work on seeing if you can pick up the spin out of their hands. Ince you determine whether its a fastball or curve, you will no longer have that problem.
Man’s name is Skank: done
When you study hitting a ball to help your son but end up being a MLB batting coach
Starting with Barry Bonds was the first smart move. Barry may be the greatest hitter ever, FACT!
Well, when I was playing, I certainly did not want to face him. Was probably in the top 3 toughest outs.
@Your Mom He was in his mid-30s. He touched every ball he swung at. The other pitches were called balls.
Yeah except for what Barry bonds does with his swing and what this guy does are completely different. Which is why the people that train with this guy strikeout 200 times a season and Barry bonds 50. Bonds was a complete hitter with a fantastic eye and could hit for high average, power, on base percentage, but rarely struck out. This guy does nothing like Barry bonds. Guarantee of Barry bonds was Aaron judges hitting coach he did even more and he would strike out less
the a's need this guy more than a new stadium
This is a very cool story
I loves the vids
Aaron Judge‘s parents are our neighbors
Stop snitching
That is awesome :) You must see him once in a while then?
Where are you from me hitting coach
Does this swing work for hitters who can’t hit home runs? Honestly asking
Yes, you may not hit HRs but you'll burn outfielders..missiles in the gap. My son is 11 he went from a contact hitter to hitting balls 250 he has 10 hrs and he's only 4"11 87lbs. This stuff works!!
Please go visit the Tampa Bay Rays, now!!@
I find it funny how people make fun of Richard saying no one swings like that, yet they admire Judge’s swing and power.
Richard, keep doing what your doing pal
Studying a Mans swing who isn't in the hall of fame.. He.could of easily studied Griffey or Gywnn. But he knows who the Goat is... My boy BARRY!!
I will say This … every player is different . Every swing is different . Just find what works best for you 💯
Extremely wrong
Oh so this is the guy that made the Goldilocks balls?
Ted Williams has entered the chat
Ab to go do this with curry’s shot form
Barry Bonds is the real hero here.
He spent hours in the basement trying to replicate bonds steroids only ones that won’t show up on a drug test
Howd you become such a great hitting coach?
I watched videos of barry bonds..
Says something about bonds dont ya think?
Working with Teacherman is amazing. I’m so grateful that I’ve found this form of hitting because it has made me very successful in my softball journey 🥎!!
SAME HERE
Crushing balls just sounded wrong
Mets need a hitting coach
Same vitamin regimen as Bonds too lol. #legalizesteroids
Wish I could afford lessons like that for my son because I know NOTHING about baseball 😕
Well do what exactly what this guy did, get a gopro for slowmo footage and try to copy bonds.
This guy’s so good he could raise Trevor Bauer’s avg to .10!!! … probably… maybe… yeeeah, no one’s THAT good.
Sad is they say hes a cookoo but his resume tells a different story
His batting average is also under .300 so keep that in mind.
But why do you kick 🦵 when Barry didn’t
Besides Aaron Judge who else?
Bonds is the goat crazy he’s not in the HOF racism in baseball is crazy
Dudes Methods are bumbish. Even Judge says he didn't help him
I wish Ohtani would train under him or wait maybe he don't need to cause he's hitting bombs like crazy again lately
Bonds would laugh in your face.
Where are those wanna be hitting coaches are😂
To be great you gotta study the greats
Barry bonds with laugh at the fact that judge strikes out 200 times a year. Bonds walked 200 times a year struck out like 50. Their swings are not the same
No two swings are identical, you try to take parts of their game from the greats.
Barry bonds was the best baseball hitter I ever seen
Deer antler spray
Well Bonds wasn't ashamed of a single or double going the other way. Today? Exit velo is like the crack pipe every player wants to hit. 💔
Barry Bonds
So he just teaches Barry bonds bat. Lol
Get him back in touch with the yanks… please….
This swing is not used by anyone tho
