  • In this film we visit the Yorkshire Salmon Guide Phil Ellis. The conditions were not good for salmon but we had a fabulous time targeting wild brown trout.

Nice views of the Ure,would still be on my radar for a spring throw,or after a late summer spate. Those brownies would be a great distraction with a team of spiders .
    Tight lines for 2021

Ure great river but the riparian owners are surrounded by 'old wives tales' and most the beats are fly only...not fair to lure or bait fishers...the prices are reasonable through out the ure but prices will rise in a few years to come-the ure and all humber ouse rivers have came on leaps and bounds in a short space of time-so when the fishing gets even better and that wont be far away the prices will shoot up-been told this from various river Ure sources.-I really hope the prices stay the same to be fair as they aint overly ppriced at the minute 2019...Ure has some of the largest salmon i ever seen constantly-where as in the past i can count the extreme fish i think i have seen over 30s of lbs-ure/swale/ouse/wharfe all get remarkably large salmon with fish being reported to 47lbs and bigger lost..
