Thank you Tom. I greatly appreciate your efforts made on all your guides to the Leeds DASA stretches. Hope you're well, all the very best wishes, Stuart.
To access the opposite bank at Middleham take the narrow track on the right hand side directly after the bridge, parking adjacent to cottages, very little access to river
Park opposite Spennithorne cricket club at your peril, this track is used by contract farmers and their industrial sized tractors and equipment, better to park just before the pub on the grass bank side and walk for 2 minutes .
You've probably already seen this czcams.com/video/DNtniugrXGc/video.html I've fished Spennithorne hundreds of times since the late 1970s when it was, ironically enough a Leeds and District water that they gave up 'cos nobody ever caught anything - they had the field you looked at plus the one above (considerably longer) and when we rented it we also had the field below. I don't know if it's still possible but the local dog walkers would drive down the lane, over the ford and park in the field to the right - access to the river is then a short stroll following the curiously named Beggars Mouth Beck www.maggotdrowning.com/forums/index.php?threads/mission-accomplished-almost.127768/ Parking used to be allowed in the field - the former tenant only used it as rough grazing for sheep, however it's now used for silage so parking is no longer allowed - unfortunately the laws of libel do not allow me to give my opinion of the 'gentleman' in the new house.
