- I managed to get my very last trip to LA during the Tour de Murietta 2020. To make the most out of it I decided to race both the Pro/1/2 AND the 2/3 category. TdM is an omnium so that meant 4 races in one weekend! Do I currently have the fitness to do that?

@@jasperverkuijl I tend not to mention it, but I am 14 who wants to be a pro cyclist. I don't have a road bike but im trying to save up for one and start doing crits. I ride for like 5-10 miles on my mountain bike that's literally half my size because I got it when I was 10, and now I'm 5'10. Its a 100 dollar walmart mountain bike but i've put serious milages on it. And I am more than confident I can become a crit rider and maybe move onto track cycling. Be sure to hear my name in the future because I'll mention that you were one of my biggest inspirations

I may live on the right coast of the US and never have met you personally but feeling a little sad you are not coming back to the US for a while. But congrats on the birth of your second boy and all the best. I am sure time constraints will limit the racing a bit but you have some of the most interesting race videos. Stay safe and healthy and when all of this stuff passes can't wait to see some more race videos!

Didi Senft is the Devil. He is a super fan who goes to all the world tour races dressed as the Devil carrying a pitchfork with the long white beard. If you look him up on Wikipedia you will see how legendary he is and what an honor it is to be speared by his pitchfork.
I once did 6 races in 2 days. All crits. Two different masters age groups, and pro 1,2. I actually started out ok, winning one of the masters crits, and finishing 2nd in the other, and just finishing the pro 1,2 in the field. 2nd day I don't recall as well, but I remember being absolutely wasted by the time I got to the final race, the pro 1,2. Yeah, I tried that only one time.
Yeh it’s pretty hard. Especially crits because there usually pretty high intensity

This sounds like how my weekend was before usac canceled races on us my coach sent me out for 3 hr race sim efforts then raced the next day got in great position most of the race and final went to spirint early to get a jump on the sprinters my legs blew up.

@@jasperverkuijl not for 1 hour crits where everyone goes gun ho from the start.. Same thing with Grizzly 100 you did not warm up, if you did a proper warm up on rollers before start you could be in a top 3

Radio in a 1hr crit? LOL We tried that in cat 4/5 training races in Eldorado Park in early 2000's ;)) - its useless ppl should know where they should be in a 1 hr crit
It can work. Buy you should already know what you are doing to have it add something.
