Wearmouth Colliery NOT Monkwearmouth Quarry!
It was officially known as Monkwearmouth colliery. So you are both half right.
This was brilliant thanks Rich
Enjoyed that
Love this. A lot of unknown information. Fantastic! Thanks
Its wearmouth pit.
Love the deadpan delivery!
In the sixties Sunderland played Manchester United in FA cup, the replay at Roker park the gates were broken down the police estimated that night there was 100000 people in the city .
Stadium yes I remember it well
I was there that night, didn't even get into the ground but my dad did. I had to make my own way home at 11yrs old. There was 100,000 in the ground, never mind the area.
more views than the Newcastle video ❤️🤍
Forgot to mention 75. 118 record att with 30000 locked out according to the press at the time
It's the Wolsey, not the Wolseley Arms. And it was Wearmouth Colliery, not Monkwearmouth Quarry.
Not worth watching this pap mate.
Monkwearmouth quarry?
What a numpty "quarry " indeed - the obvious clue being a huge miner's lamp outside of the stadium.
This seriously needs DELETING, re-editing, and reposting. With COLLIERY instead of quarry.
🔴⚪️🔴⚪️👍
Thanks for the facts and details. Mind you a bit more enthusiasm would have been appreciated.
Fantastic facts but presenter's delivery is so flat. Energyless
Good 👍 better than some excitable high camp
