I’ve had mine for 10 years and absolutely love it! I haven’t had a single frayed stitch, broken clasp, or problem.
I’ll have it for 30 more years and longer.
This is a lifetime bag.
Agree with all the pros and cons.. My ultimate con would be the weight esp. if the bag is used for laptops and camera gear.. it will dig deep onto the shoulders definitely.

Will you could buy a lesser bag that will fall apart in a few months. I will keep my saddleback bag😁
The bag does not seem ideal in every. It does however seem more than good enough in its construction and functionality to make it ideal in most ways.
Can you fit a waterbottle in the side pocket?
Will the briefcase hold a legal sized file folder without bending it?

Saddleback's quality is a memory! Don't buy it. I spent thousands about 8, 9 10 years ago... on satchel bags, 2 back packs and a wallet. Fast forward to 2021. MAJOR disappointment. Got spouse's in mail today. Spent $200 on a large wallet for a gift and was mortified at opening. Stiff, scratchy, pleather feel. The font in right hand bottom corner has changed. The silver studs on back also changed/ cheap. Stitching cheap. Entire thing ... cheap. Not worth $32 much less near $200. Look elsewhere. Mine's going back.
