Damn... I just watch missing 411 the hunted...
Please watch it.
Me too!!
There have been disappearances in around Crater Lake.?..did you two see where Mr. Paulides lost his son to suicide last week ?...He said they were devastated when they heard the news...look up his most recent video last week and he announces what happened to his beloved son.
@@susieq8008 omg. No I haven't. I'll check it out.
@@susieq8008 VERY SAD!! I was floored when I read that on DP's most recent video :(
I was gonna say...
Umm, I've had 3 Sasquatch experiences, you know what you heard was huge. Not a moose, elk, bear, cougar, deer, bobcat...just the sound you made yourself reminds me of them...the Tree People. Thanks for sharing that experience. They are everywhere in these parts.
Intriguing.... Love the music. Your music is always well selected.
Yes please, what was the music you used? Outstanding.
Just came across this video myself, and I echo that sentiment!! Too bad I can’t use Sound Hound while CZcams is open so I can identify said music...I’ll keep checking the comments-maybe some darling doll of a person figured it out years ago and posted the info there for the rest of us! 😊🤞🏼
The rut/mating season is in the fall. It was an elk. Male Elk are extremely vocal. They are very aggressive during this season. The moon phase was probably full. This last around 4 weeks. They make deep scary sounds & thrash around.. Make noise if walking around at dusk or sunrise. If if going to a pit toilet. Some People will say you heard a Sasquatch...
Julie Wallace rutting at night? That’s pretty romantic.
Julie Wallace I agree. A horny grumpy elk! 😜

😃😃😃😃
@@theoldfarmerswife5915 😂🤣😅😆 Barb, you are hilarious. What a bad combination. Horny and Grumpy. Hey, weren't they two of Snow White's dwarves? 😂
Lisa C. Oh I forgot about them. I was thinking about old men 😜😝
I love that your friend brought her own lawn!
I love Oregon.
I lived at Diamond Lake for a few years. when i was 10 my older brother and i seen a massive creature we can only describe as what we knew to be bigfoot. it was standing in the doorway of our house taller then the door frame and the shape of a huge person roughly 10:00pm. my stepdad at the time was head of security at the resort and the next day he was telling my mother of how he chased something into the swamps the shape of a man but huge and foul smelling.. may seem like just a legend for some folks but to others who have witnessed something and heard its grunts and howls you cant shake our belief. put yourself out there in that dense forest for a few nights alone without a dog and chances are you will experience something you thought was just a made up story.
AMEN ... I had an encounter W/2 of them in my backyard......I shook for hours after that....
Seen something like 15 feet tall that was able to shape shift into a tree . I have the picture on my rebbddit user k903
Good to see you! Yes, Sasquatch for sure! Crater Lake is known for them! Stay safe!
Are you another idiot who thinks that bigfoot is real?
@Judith Meives ok that is the most shit logic I have ever heard in my life! I Like the Godzilla movies I dont believe he is real XD! GET THAT SHIT OUT OF HERE! XD
@Judith Meives also who in the hell do you think built the all pyramids in Egypt! XDDDDDDDDDDD
@Judith Meives like how stupid are people these days!? XD
Are you another idiot who thinks bigfoot aint real?
Hi Jimmy, Love you’re Videos Thank you for Sharing xx
You made me chuckle Jimmy :) I like your descriptions. Also loved the one with Crater Lake.
Sounds like a great place to hang out and explore. With the exception of the noises 👻 It is getting close to Halloween lol Maybe big foot or local teenagers. Glad you all had a chuckle about it all. Love getting some park history. Safe and happy travels
Alright, this video made me smile and even laugh a little (that's not saying I wouldn't have been freaked out too!), but it reminded me of one of my city friends getting totally freaked out about hearing bull frogs for the first time. He was sure it was some huge monsters that were possibly a threat to us. You can imagine the laughs I got from that experience, and I still tease him about it occasionally. Thanks again for another wonderful video :).
Jimmy, that would have been a good Halloween post. Creepy. Even it it's an elk, it's still creepy. Loved your sound track, btw.
I hear elk rutting just a couple blocks away from my house in the cow pasture behind my house. They are quite vocal and make a range of noises. You can even hear their antlers as they fight each other. Most likely what you heard.
Why is this man's voice so soothing?
May be because he is gay....
Seeing much more effeminate males from millennials.
We sure do get to hear and see extraordinary things being on the road!
I just found you and I really enjoy listening to your voice and calm head thinking. Enjoy your life!
Beautiful locations! Interesting about those night time sounds, and the voices in the other video. Perhaps elk, perhaps not. Safe travels!
I got such a kick out of this. Thanks for the smiles.
Thank you for letting me come along virtually. I love listening to Becky laugh, she has a great laugh, I admire her so much too, I know she wishes Hank was there, he is so adorable. Thank you for sharing this adventure, it makes me want to go there, maybe I can by Autumn 2019 if my place sells. Crater Lake NP looks amazing!
I hope you had fun at Descend on Bend. Safe travels wherever you are now.
I almost forgot, thanks for introducing me to Hot Hot Coffee... love it, my kind of music!
Ewww, you made goosebumpies come up all over my arms! Love it!
Great video!! Hahaha!! I was so going to say big foot too!
Oh! I want that pin!!! I love the National Parks.
Good to see that Becky is getting out and about! Love her channel too!
Beautiful scenery! Glad I found your channel 😊
Welcome to the world of Sasquatch!!! You had an experience!!
YOU KNOW IT...!!!
FACEPALM
Ravens have the most amazing assortment of sounds. Gurgles, screeches, calls. However, I don't hear them at night.
Yeah man crows are experts at mimicry. However crows don't call or communicate at night. That's why they're called spies of the under world. I want you to think and provee wrong. Have you ever heard a crow before sunrise?
I heard you say Critter Lake a bunch of times and was looking up Critter Lake with no luck. I should've read the description a lot closer. Yeah I don't think it was a pelican...HAHA!! Cool video and be safe it there.
Yay...I am glad your friend was able to meet up with you. Jimmy CZcams has a recording of an Elk. If i heard that at night I would have been FREAKED out.
I had such a nervous laugh the way you described the sounds you heard... That must have seriously scared the crap out of you. I would have been petrified!!!!! Oh my God! Well, I hope you can hear more tonight (or maybe I should hope you don't).... That was a, really pretty waterfall. I love waterfalls dearly. Keep enjoying your time there!!!!! Anxiously awaiting your next video....
So pretty. Scary sounds upset the harmony of living outdoors. Mad Love.
Somehow the peace and tranquility of this episode was lost the second the Chupacabra gave you several mating calls. Never let them in your van...they snore. Pretty exciting video Jimmy. Thanks!
That had to be very eerie to hear . Has to be an elk . I'm glad to see Becky and you traveling together .
😉🙏✌💞👍👏😊
Many Sasquatch reports from the Crater lake area..
Where is this place located I might finance a flim trip there.
@@petercole8798 You must not be from America, everyone here knows it's on the Nevada/California border...
I thought it was nevada wasn't sure. Anyway.... Bring me proof that monster is there.
@@johnganshow5536 wtf lmao
@@petercole8798 my Son was one of the family crew, that built the place Jimmy stayed the first night where they heard the loud noises. We go there often.
That's so crazy and awesome but scary love yah jimmy
Was lovin' the music from the beginning - then, when at the Crater Lake Visitors Ctr, when you recorded a bit inside the shop, you showed a painted image of the mountain blowin' it's top - with the steam, smoke & ash shooting up...& as I puzzled over the lightning bolts - the music was perfectly timed - with that weird synthesized sound - as if the sound effect for a cartoon spaceship...lol. And - love the 3D model of Crater Lake & the poster on the wall, at the end. It looks like a woodcut style, rarely seen anymore - so has a nostalgic feel - especially with that early motorcycle!
All together - a very satisfying vid, Jimmy! Has a bit of everything!
Loved the music also!
I am just discovering your videos Im new to travel camping. From what I've seen so far I would love to be your passenger. Keep up the wonderful years the way you describe them.
As the daughter of a wildlife biologist I can affirm that what you heard was an elk...and they can be ANYWHERE they want to be! Much like bear! Be cautious!
They are out in the woods more than most so know what animals sound like.
It was probably Darrell saying hello! ❤️🥸👣🤗
Love your traveling music 🎶
Elk rut in fall, and they are loud.
even mountain lions can make some wild screams.
I think being out there as long as they have(more than most of us) they know different animal sounds.
@@nifflofair6685 when you say "they" are you referring to Jimmy, the narrator and his crew?
If so, he states in the video that, "...people have told me that Elk make weird noises..." and he also questions what season they rut. Arkansas Traveler was just answering his question. 🙂
It was a big foot of course ,Crater Lake is well known for sightings 👍you actually know this 🥰
“That is not a bird” 🤣😯🤫 your face....classic
Love that visitor center! Now I want to visit and such a pretty time of year to go. As for the sound, there is one sound you don’t want to hear at night in the forest and that is of a mountain lion screaming....guaranteed to scare you to death....google the sound...we have them all around us here where I live and it’s the scariest sound I’ve ever heard. We had one scream outside our bedroom window one time and I never could go back to sleep that night it was so terrifying. Enjoy your time at Crater Lake! Such a gorgeous place!
Jimmy what you heard & hearing is a Bigfoot or Sasquatch!. There is in that part of the country a high population of them and they are nocturnal at night and can also be spotted during the day. Stay safe & travels. Thanks Jimmy great videos
czcams.com/video/zrrXhJB0pIw/video.html - one can only wonder ?
Sure, cause u were there, lol, even he imitated exactly an elk
@@virtualworldsbyloff Its most likely a Sasquatch. They are real too yk
@@johnakridge2916 - We can't expect the average person to believe us about sasquatch. That doesn't change the facts though does it?
@@virtualworldsbyloff - I'm not saying it was a sasquatch. Sasquatch can supposedly imitate anything they hear quite accurately at times. I know they exist.
Elk can make a very loud, spine-grating bellow that sounds like metal pipes and other weirdness. I'll bet your midnight crooner was an elk. I heard one during the night and it really freaked me out.
Heard a pterodactyl like sound myself in the middle of the forest , at a cabin I had rented, in the middle of the night. I was having a puff outside alone, and was coughing, all a sudden, a screech like no other, that was probably no further than 25 ft away in the dark.... It scared the bejesus outta me. I got my ass back inside and was shaken. I have done my fair share of middle of nowhere camping and lived on this island my whole life . I have never heard this sound before , and so loud. Had chills down my spine. This was in Tofino , BC on Vancouver Island , Canada's West coast ! I've never heard anybody else describe the pterodactyl sound till now.....
My theory. You heard bull calling cow.. cow arriving... sounds of lovemaking. ;)
Hey Jimmy that must have been Sasquatch because I hear he likes jazz!!! COOL Cove Don!!!
Elk rut is in the fall... the noise they make is called a bugal sometimes with a whistle it's so high pitched ... I hear them in the night in Wyoming
Crater lake looks prehistoric an beautiful
I love hearing elk bugle off in the distance in Yellowstone .
Most people are familiar with the common bugle an elk make during fall rut, but they make other noises as well that don't really sound like the typical bugle most people know. Oh and stay the hell clear of them during this time, super angry is how elk can be.
Yeah they are angry MFers.
Elk do make crazy bugle type sounds now grunts that’s bear and bear can sound like dogs growing and in the dark everything is enhanced but I’ve been backpacking and a chipmunk sounded like a bear rustling in leaves.
As other commenters have said, it was more than likely an Elk. They make some weird sounds. I have heard similar strange louds sounds in the forest when it was not rut season. I do not believe that there are any Burros around, however, in Big Bear California forest there is a bunch of them and they make some very strange bellowing sounds unlike anything you would think might come from an animal on Earth.
thanks for sharing! very nice
Elk have a very distinctive sound that tends to be high pitched. That's not what you describe. Maybe I'll rethink visiting Crater Lake. lol!
Just went here a few days ago. It's not far from where I live in Oregon, about an hours drive. Yes, I took pictures and went to the gift shop. That's how I pace myself while writing the book. I dont want to have a moment like in The Shining.
Magick requires rest. The best place to get back to normal is a nature walk in a park or climbing. Don't overdo the time in ritual. That's lusting for results and will mess up what you intended to do.
Elk can make some very strange sounds, and it's mating season. :)
Made it to the 10 minute mark...nice guy...very soothing voice...but alas, no payoff.
Scary stuff! I think I would have immediately got in my van and locked the doors! Well, as soon as Becky got back from the bathroom!
Big foot? My guess is an elk. i heard one years ago and it scared the heck out of me.
Thanks for the video..😉
I had to do security overnight for a new condo development near Banff Alberta, Canada. There were elk around and they would scratch trees with their antlers and make groaning and grunting noises, it was rutting season. The scariest part was at about 2:30-3:00 am, I heard what could only be described as a woman screaming in the distance! It almost sounds like a rusty wrought iron gate slowly closing, but scarier! I was freaked the F out! I later learned that elk make that high pitched scream during rutting season, PHEW
Love your video! Just subscribed 👍
Thank you, Stephanie!!
LOL the woods are so scary ....... most eerie sound in the pacific Northwest is , a male bull elk and Owls and maybe a random wolf call...I see the video is dated October , right in the middle of mating season for Elk
jimmy i think what you heard was an elk. you can google for the sound.let us know when you do if it was.
What did you find when you walked the woods the next morning?
Becky was so happy. I miss her videos. I know you miss her. Hope you are doing good, this came up on my side bar on CZcams. I watched it several times before. Beware of Bigfoot.
LOL. Elk in rut.
Yeah they are pretty fierce sounding when they are in rut. My buck goats made those sounds, but they are smaller in size. An elk is about the size of a horse, so they sound more like a dragon when in rut.
Jimmy I happened to come across on you tube that has various things happened and seen at Crater lake Oregon Nat forest of Bigfoot encounters with campers in the park. I was surprised of so many on you tube in that area. Stay safe and safe travels. Love your videos.
This is the time of year for the Elk bugling. Yes it very weird sounding😊
As much I want it too be a Sasquatch (this is a great theme and I am a believer) from your description it sounds elk ish, you can find some on you tube.
I’m pretty sure that my big foot digs deep soul funk.
My imagination knows no bounds!
At night, what you are likely to hear is owl, bear, wolf, coyote, fox, bobcat, lynx and couger. O and maybe Sasquatch.
Elk have a very high pitched, almost a whistle like sound. Big Foot make the sounds you’re describing 😳
did you record the sounds? I guess I missed it in your video.
I'm glad you got to meet up with Becky on this trip too...I think when you are close friends, it's OK and welcoming to park close to one another...unless someone really wants their time alone. It's nice that this park also lets yall camp for free there...even with electric...and very pretty too. Jimmy...I love sleeping in a very cool house or wherever, but when it is too cool, I wear something with a hood to bed and pull the hood over my head...it helps with my sinuses when I do that...it might help you too. Wow, hearing you talk about the scary sounds...that most likely would scare me too...it's good that you asked about it though...I might have been hesitant about sleeping after hearing that though. It is a really beautiful place!😊💖
I saw a plaque wall hanging that seems like it describes you perfectly: Wander Often Wonder Always
Ok so at what point are the sounds recorded so we can here them or are you afraid that the mystery would be gone as soon as we hear it?
JIMMMMMMMMMMY...a refreshing start to my trading day..ty always..I appreciate ur hard work making vids from start to completion! Many people don’t realize how timeeeee consuming do good vid is! Rock on my friend..be safe..enjoy all ur days! Blue!👍😎😎
When I was in Florida I heard something crazy. I thought it sounded like a tarydactil. I turned out to be a Cuban tree frog. Lol
It looks beautiful there... never been there... we will have to check this out... hmmmm makes one wonder what the sounds really are coming from...Elk? Big foot? interesting....
Jimmy, you post the best videos on CZcams!! I just adore you and all of your adventures. You are so much fun! I don't know whether I believe all the Bigfoot stories I have heard over the years. You would think someone would have captured one or found remains of one. Anyway, I would have been terrified if I heard such a strange sound...LOL That was a beautiful drive, too. Have fun with Becky.....y'all be safe!
Hey Jimmie love your videos. This is gonna sound crazy I don't know if I believe in this or not but have you ever thought of these noises you hear could be Bigfoot? That area of Washington/Oregon is supposed to be prime habitat!
Your absolutely right! It’s known for it. 😉
I camp alone in WA all over and haven’t heard the noises, nor have I been kidnapped like everyone worries about. I’m on the fence, I always say, I’m neutral on this. I always keep an open mind, but skeptical at the same time.
True be careful 🙏
Elk have wide range of noises that they make. They sound very Erie and surreal during fall rutting season. I believe in Bigfoot the ape family also have a wide range of vocalizations and are very loud. Sounds carry very well at night. Wouldn't worry about it, just enjoy communing with nature. Excellent video. 🍂🍁💀👻🗻👽🐻🦌🦇🦇🐉🕸🦉🦅🎑🎃
An elk bugling in the middle of the night can be startling, to say the least as my brother and I found out many years ago in Kentucky. Around midnight, we had heard some grunting (probably a female elk) coming up a ravine, and 2 hours later came the bugling of the male from less than 200 feet away.
Over 100 years thousands of stories, no bones no body’s no hair no crap
Look up videos of Elk bugling, it was probably an Elk. They make a really loud weird higher then lower then higher sound and it’s loud! It almost echos.
All I can think of is my cousin Vinny with Joe pesci trying to sleep at the log cabin 🤣🤣🤣🤣
You need to watch CZcams channel"howtohunt"....yep...sasquach
Crawler or a wendigo. Stay safe out there!
Isn't Crater Lake in Oregon? I've heard of it, but was never too sure where it was.
I laughed when you took off your glasses to read--I do too! Its weird getting older when you've always been nearsighted. I just turned 60, and although I generally still wear glasses I've noticed they're not really all that necessary except when I'm driving or watching TV. So I guess that's something you have to look forward to.
Uh only for a short while....sooner or later you're gonna need bifocals to read.
@@A10TOES I already wear bifocals, I've worn them since I was 45!
so I would google elk rut sounds. n see if it was that or maybe bigfoot matting sounds hehehe funny how the dark makes sounds louder n scarier .. love the road of travel be safe out there n have a blast doin it !!
Scary...so the friend would not be in your video? Thanks for sharing your experience..
I suggest going to google and type in sounds of a _____. And see what comes up. I’ve done that a lot trying to figure out “what was that” lol I would have been climbing back into my van and closing the door😂😂😂🧐 Night sounds can be interesting. I’ve videoed the dark before to catch the animal sounds. I really wish I had a trail cam to put out just to see what I don’t see lol keep that cell handy each night just in case you get the opportunity to video the night sounds. Have a fun week😉👍
Goodness! I am a chicken at heart.... Not sure I would want to spend the night there. 😂 LOL..all though I have always wanted to see Crater lake. Hmmm.
👽Apologies; that was me last night my asthma was play up.
Elk make some pretty weird sounds and loud!
Bobcat?
From the little description you gave, I'm betting elk. It's a high pitched, somewhat mournful, screeching, bugling sound. Elk rut is in the fall. It is definitely an other worldly call. I think they might be the culprits in many of the reports of Sasquatch calls and tree banging. The sound of two sparring bulls horns clashing together could be mistaken for Sasquatch supposedly bashing limbs into the trunks of trees. I would love to see an update after you have googled elk bugle.
