What I love so much about Xabi Alonso's management style is that it is a combination of managers he has played for, like Rafael Benitez (Liverpool), Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti, Zinedine Zidane (Real Madrid), Pep Guardiola (Bayern Munich) and Vicente del Bosque (Spain), and you can see bits and pieces of all those managers in his Bayer Leverkusen team, both in tactics and mentality
It's also been great to see Bayer Leverkusen pull off an incredible underdog story and win the Bundesliga for the first time in their history. Their win vs Roma today was incredible, and even though I'm not a Leverkusen fan I hope they can complete an undefeated season

I wanted to jump levels to go from a jv shitter to a varsity starter and I had been putting in a lot of work in our spring training. But I’m going to fall behind and I’m still going to be at the horrible level I’m at instead of where I was going to be

Ancelotti is great for Real Madrid and for their stars, otherwise mediocre. Klopp and Pep are the greatest managers of this millennium so far. Xabi can still join those two.
On top of Xabi I think the main thing is still the players. Hradecky, their solid defence, great midfield led by Andrich and Xhaka, fantastic offence led by maybe the best young player in the world Florian Wirtz.
Taking about fantastic offence. Don't forget the left and right defenders (sorry, wingers) Frimpong and Grimaldo with 9 goals and 9 assists and 9 goals and 15 assists respectively. These two bring terror and chaos to any defending team.
